Homeschooled?

Homeschooled?

Is anyone else here homeschooled? I've been homeschooled all my life and I'm going to "real" school next year. I'm so nervous!

Go to my thread that starts with "I have three..." or the new one that starts with "My three questions..." and you'll see that there are a ton of homeschoolers, including me!!

I have also been homeschooled all my life. I think I am probably going to be homeschooled through high school and only stop when I graduate.

I'm in 7th, too! I'm taking Latin for school, and I'm doing algebra. But my dad teaches me algebra, and my Grandma teaches me Latin.

I was homeschooled for grades 4, 5, and 6 and I am now in seventh grade at public school.

Going to real school isn't that bad, exept you will be asked alot of questions about being homeschooled.

Dear Grace,

I have homeschooled since kindergarten and I adore it.  You get to see your family more, and you get off earlier than regular public school kids.  But going to public shool also has benefits:

1.  You get to see friends more often

2.   You get to do gym class

3.   You get a fair amount of breaks!

All I can say is, try to have a good time, make friends, and be yourself!

Thanks for the advice! We don't live in a neighborhood, so I don't see my friends that often. So I'm looking forward to going to the school. (I'm actually going to a private one.) Although I don't know anyone!

I am not homeschooled but I can tell you that I somtimes wish that I was because there  is this boy in my class and is he ever annoying. If I was he wouldn't be there to annoy me.

Mariah C., you have some things wrong about public school--at least mine)...Gym is not a good thing! Especially if you have it in the morning! Gym teachers make you do absolutly pointless excercises for 40 min,. and all you really get out of it is (even with changing clothes and deodorent) being sweaty and having a red face for the rest of the day. Not fun. And what do you mean "breaks"? We have no breaks! 3 minutes to get to your locker and to your next class, which might be halfway across the school. But you get used to it. Sorry, Grace and anyone else.

Dear Grace, I just started my first year of public school after homeschooling and I love it!  If I assume correctly, you will be in 8th next year, which is exactly when I started. It's nice to be the oldest in the school.  P.E. is pretty horrible, but I love everything else. We have a whole hour devoted to reading!! Also it is a small school, so there is not a lot of mean backstabbing, etc.

So it's awesome! I was REALLYREALLYREALLY nervous, too, about starting, but it has been great.
