Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Sooo...new AE? I guess?

I know, that was an awesome thread title and not awkward at all.

After a long period without AEs (Yes, I spared the CB of my cringy/strange/weird creations and illogical AEs), I decided to make one again. I'm definitely not bringing Chilly/Frosty/Snowy back (halleighluia), however.

So, without further awkwardnes--I mean ado--, might I introduce...

Name: Narrator Thirty-three

Personality: Acts very neutral, generally wise (though very lacking in wisdom when it comes to emotional matters), slightly cold when talking to others, only shows hints of emotion when narrating. She works hard to keep her emotionless behavior, but really depends on having an audience and will sulk when things don't go her way.

Appearance: Narrator Thirty-three wears a plain white blouse and a medium-length gray skirt. She has thick brown hair that is always in a neat bun. Her skin tone is average but bordering on pale from time spent inside. Her height is slightly taller than average, but not really noticable.

However, she does have odd, lavender-colored eyes that are soft and piercing all at once, depending on your perspective.

Distinguishable by: Her habit of narrating what is around her. She is usually seen carrying a book or script and reading from it. She has a bookshelf with stories to narrate--as well as things she has narrated in the past--in her room, and can be seen practicing in front of her mirror there.

Surprising facts?: She has a job, actually, since Icy...er...got fired from her last one. Because--let's continue. Narrator actually works babysitting children. She gets along well with them (and tells--or should I say narrates--the best stories), but generally acts businesslike and neutral whenever any adults might be around.

Narrator Thirty-three is a long (and stiff) name to use all the time, so I'm going to wait to see if a nickname develops while she is in chatrooms, or if any other AE gives her a nickname.

Has any other AE used the number thirty-three? I don't want to rip off someone, and I've indirectly ripped off a lot of people...

But those concerns aside, meet Narrator Thirty-three!

The CBer introduced her AE with a flourish that she probably thought was impressive. However--

Ahem. Say hello.

Hello. It's...interesting to meet you. I'm Narrator Thirty-three. You can call me whatever you like.

...Just hello would work...

Welcome to Chatterbox, Narrator Thirty-Three! Nice meeting you! This is my AE, Hibiki Starlight.

*YAWN* Pooki, why did you wake me u-- Oh. Hi there. Who are you again?

The AE was being impolite--extremely impolite, in fact. However, such a flaw can be attributed to it's youth and the fact that most young creatures require more sleep than fully-grown ones. The creature did seem to be quite adorable, however.

Thirty. Less rude, more, uhm...whatever you do when you're not insulting people without realizing it?

Oh. Hello, Hibiki Starlight. It's...intriguing to meet you. I've heard about you.

Hi. So, what is a Narrator exactly?

A narrator is one who tells a story.

A narrator is the one who tells a story. They do not matter--the story is the only thing that does. The story is the only thing that matters...

But there is something magical about a narrator. Something that hints at them being...more than just the readers of a story.

Uhm, ignore Thirty. A narrator tells a story. That's all.

Hi!!! Wow, it seems like more AEs come along every day! Isn't it great?

(Sarcastically) oh yeah, it's fabulous.

You don't have to be so mean about it, Tric.

Lev! You just said a sentence of ten words to someone you just met! That's amazing!

Um. So hi. Welcome.

Now, Narrator. None of the, uhm...narrating. Just introduce yourself.

I will introduce myself in my own way.

Thirty, this better be--

The three did not seem foolish. They had simply forgotten to tell the new AE their own names. It was a simple mistake, really.

Thirty! For pete's sake, be polite!

Now. Electric, is that what Tric is short for? Whatever your name is, I'm sure we'll be...great friends. *Glared*.

Ahem. Your names are?

Yeah, Tric is short for Electric. The bouncy one who talks in italics is Dewdrop(call her Dewy) and the one who amazed ys by saying ten words was Levana.

Hi!!!! I love meeting new people!!

Hello.

Bleh. Get away from me Dewy. I don't want to catch your overpowering niceness.

*Facepalm* (Levana says nagg. She never nags.)

Narrator Thirty-three sounds like a cool character! I love her personality, and she seems very funny, even though she isn't trying to be.

I can tell you plenty of stories. *Proceeds to grab a YA fantasy book off of bookshelf. Looks around and realizes she has no appropriate books for a young child.* Eh maybe not.

Thanks! I made Thirty because of some advice I got from a teacher of mine--a narrator really is every character. I wanted to use that advice to create an AE, but also keep her emotions more subtle. She is the voice for the characters--but to do that, she believes that she herself should have less of a voice (which is why she dressed plain, etc).

I'm not going to bring Thirty here right now though...she can get a little serious when it comes to babysitting, especially when there are CBers nearby...

Hello! It's nice to meet you, Narrator!

Hi! I'm Kiki!

*ahem*

*plugs in headphones*

Maki?

Yes? Am I supposed to be doing something?

INTRODUCE YOURSELF!*pulls off headphones*

*sigh* I'm Maki. Don't talk to me.

Of all AE introduction threads that had been seen, this one seemed to be filled with the most rude of AEs. They--

...Ahem. Nice to meet you, Kiki. ...And Maki.

Hail and well met, Narrator. I am Jamie. Nice to see some new faces among us.

Ciao, Thirty. My name's Lights Out. Do you know anybody named Stanley?

Brilliant! An AE as well read as myself! Or possibly more well read. Either way, it's nice to meet you.

Hi, Narrator 33. Welcome!

Are you really a narrator? That's so cool! Can you narrate anything? Is it hard? Does it come naturally? Can you narrate enything? What do you narmally sound like? Matter-of-fact? Funny? Emotionless? Do you break the fourth wall, ever? Are you allowed to do that? Are there other narrators? Do they--

Slow down, Celeste.

...do you like Hamilton?

*face-palm*

*she hid a pleased smile.* Yes, I am a narrator. I can narrate almost anything that fits my narration style, though I am trained in three different styles. As you can tell, I sound quite... Neutral.

Break the fourth wall!? Never! No good narrator would ever!

Yes, there are other narrators--which is why I am the thirty-third.

Oh...I wasn't supposed to answer all of those. It's nice to meet you, Celeste.
