Chatterbox: Down to Earth

SmileI  am sorry I did not tell you guys I was on vacation,( and to much celebrating school being done!) I went to Busch Gardens Virginia,Maryland (To visit relatives), and Philidelphia. For my 11 b-day we woke up at 5:00(the only bad thing about my b-day) and had to rush to the bus station to get to New York City. It was A double decker bus and we got the top front. When we got there we went to the American Girl Place. We stayed there for the whole morning and got a special lunch there. After lunch we went outside, but it was raining! So we ran to the Rockefeller Center. We stayed inside till the rain cleared out. We went to the big TOYS R US! It was so big! Did I mention it was big! There even was a ferris wheel inside, but we did not go on it. Then we went to the M&M Store and got some candy. We went to the bus stop to get home. We had to wait in a long line and we had to wait for a hour. I think I had a fun b-day! Now it's your turn to tell me what happened here when I was gone!

P.S. Don"t forget to because I want to know.

I don't know what happened here, but I was at camp! It was awesome! Forgive my use of the word awesome, but it was awesome, literally; I don't say that very much. The theme was creation (it's a Christian camp), which as some of you know is a big deal to me, so I thought it was really cool.

Oh, and, it sounds like you had a fun vacation!! :):) Even though I live close, my relatives live near there, and I've always wanted to (PLEASE, Daddy???), I've actually never been to NYC. But yesterday, I went to Boston (to pick my mom up at the airport), so we spent the day there (we were going to spend the weekend, but all the hotels were full...). :):) It was really fun!!! We got there at three-ish after a 2 1/2 hour long car ride (ahh, but it seemed so short, for Paige played the same ten songs to the music from Enchanted and The Lion King for the whole time on the keyboard in the back row of the car!). We pretty much just walked up and down Newbury Street and some other street next to it. It was REALLY fun!!! :D We went to the second biggest Apple store in the world (the biggest in America; the only other one that's bigger is in London)!!! It was like three stories high (I think it was three... Maybe more... My brain was going numb by the time I got to the second story...)!!!! I LOVED it!!!! :):) Then, we went to this "tiny" mall and ate dinner at the Panda Express (my FAVORITE place in the world!!!!!!) in the food court, which was about the size of half of the Maine Mall. :) Then we went to this big park place (ummm, I think it's called Boston Commons, maybe...?) and just chilled there for an hour or so. For the first time in my life, I saw a real swan!!! :D:D It made me so happy!!!! :):):) Then we went to the airport, but it turns out my mom's flight was delayed, and she wasn't supposed to arrive until 10:14, so I had second dinner (one of my favorite meals!), bought a MadLib book to play with, and ran backwards on the moving sidewalk. Moving sidewalks are my most favorite things in the entire world!!!! I mean, is there anything cooler than looking as though you're running at lightning speed?? My dad's taking Clay and his friend back to Boston Commons to paint, and I think I'll go so that I can play on the sidewalk. :):)

Wait...you have a KEYBOARD in the back seat of your CAR!?!?!?! WHUT!?!?

News....erm, I've got camp in the mornings and school in the afternoons this week. Camp is easy. And my fave class is Dance, which is first thing in the morning (at, erm, nine o'clock I think) And I got a haircut on Saturday!

Well, just my electric keyboard. We bought some batteries for it (it took six D's!!!). :):) We were riding in the Camry, so it barely fit...

Ooh, I've never been on a moving sidewalk!!  Umm... what is it??  Is it those conveyer belts in airports??

Why was your mom's flight leaving from Boston?  Panda Express is your favorite place to eat?  Interesting.  :)

Wait, you'd never seen a swan before???  Oh, Paige!!!!!  How deprived are you up there?????

I love Madlibs!!  They're so fun, aren't they??

Hmm... I wonder if we could play madlibs on here...

Oh dear.  That was a lot of questions.  I hope you don't feel interrogated...  *sigh*  I'm reeeaaalllyyyy booorrrreeeeddd!!!!!!  My dad's working, and my mom is out.  I'm basically being babysat by my brother, except, he's not babysitting me.  We both watch out for each other equally, even though now he's officially an adult.  (WEIRD!!!!!!!!!)

There's nothing to dooooo heeerrrreeee!!!!  (now I sound like Mouse again)  (book)

I really really really want to go to this one regional park that overlooks Rhonert Park (city) and is gorgeous, only my brother, hasn't learned to drive yet because he doesn't want to, and I haven't either cause dad's been too busy this summer... so I'm stuck here!!!! ALL DAY!!!  And that wouldn't be too bad if I hadn't been stuck here yesterday too, and used up all the things to do then.

At least tomorrow my singing teacher is taking me to some sort of concert thingy...

If only we had gone to the Library... I could watch a TV show that I put on hold.  MOM'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta go!!

Woah, lots of questions to answer... A moving sidewalk is like a flat escalator (spelled right??). So instead of going up, you go across the room. When you run on them, you go SOOO quickly!!!! :D:D:D It's sooo much fun!!!! You and I need to go some place with moving sidewalks together some time. :) I'm not sure what the point of them is... Maybe if you're about to miss your flight, it'll help you get there faster... But they're only for short distances, so I don't know... :)My mom's flight was leaving from (and arriving) in Boston, because the Portland Jetport (I love the way Verdana does 'J') is the smallest airtport ever (at least that I've been to) and only has about fifteen or something gates... None of the Portland flights were going to O'hare, I guess.

And yes, Panda Express is one of my favorite restaurants (other than Macaroni Grill), even though I can't eat the orange chicken. Mmm... Delicious lo mein and spring rolls!!! :):)

Noo, I'd never seen a swan before... :(:( Maine doesn't exactly have any sort of parks or anything that would have a swan. I mean, we have a bunch of teeny little playgrounds that might have a duck pond, but nothing big enough for swans. When I was in Florida, my dad, Clay, and I were just hanging out in the back parking lot of the hotel (so exciting, I know!) ((My dad was doing whatever, I was looking at anoles, and Clay was skateboarding around)). Then all of a sudden Clay rushed over to us and yelled, "Paige!! Dad!! Come here!! I found a swan!!" We ran over to him, expecting to see a swan, but it ended up being a small egret sitting in a drainage pond. :):) Well, at least he tried to identify a bird, especially since he calls my canary and parakeet 'parrots'. :) Oh, and now, we always call egrets 'swans'. :) I guess we are somewhat deprived up he'ah, but if you've nevah' hea'hd a wicked Mainah' accent, then you ah', too. :):):) But maybe you have heard one...?

Madlibs are amazing!!!!!! :):) Maybe we can do one here!! Like first, one person comes up with a story (without telling it to anybuggy), then asks everybuggy else for an adj., adv., noun, verb etc., then puts it in the story (putting the used words in bold) and posts it he'ah!!! :):):) I like it!! :D

Maybe I should eat breakfast, now that it's 1:30... Hey, I've only been awake for an hour and a half!! :)

Heh, yah, sorry about all the Qs, and thanks for the answers!!!  :P

Ooh, yes, moving sidewalks sound like FUN!!!  We SHOULD go to one together!!!  :)

Ok, now I get the part about going to Boston.  Makes sense.  :)  How far away is Boston from where you live?

That's funny.  Your two favorite restaurants stretch all the way across the states to little ol' cali!  :)

I must be deprived.  I never knew "Mainah'"-s had any sort of different accent until you told me about them.  :)

Madlibs, YES!!  That would be awesome, as long as Admin don't mind.  (Do you, Admin?)

You know, I started writing this two days ago, and only just now got to finish it, because we've been so busy helping dad set up his show.  (plus, I just started HP #4, hard to resist that. :P)

See ya 'round!!!

:) :) :) :) :)

I think MadLibs are OK. But I forget exactly what they are.

Hmmm... By car (well, obviously not plane, because the Portland Jetport is PUNY and wouldn't have a flight there!!!), Boston is about 3 - 4ish hours. Maybe more, maybe less. Don't really remember. :):):) <33 Panda Express!! :):):)

And, ayuh', Mainahs' have a wicked [pronounced by moving your jaw in a complete circle like a cow and saying "wawww-kid"] accent. Yuh', yuh', yuh'... :):) Hee, hee, I like to think that I don't have a accent, and I really don't, compared to most people, but I think I must have a little one compared to people from down south (in Mainah', that's anywhere other than Maine, even Canada). Normally, though, the people with accents are the funny old fishermen who live way up in Aroostook [pronounced: uh-roos-tick] County (well, I guess there's not many fishermen in Aroostook, but I just like the name!! Aroostook!! :D:D:D). Hee, hee, Maine has lots of fun names for towns/counties/rivers. I specifically like the Penobscot River (I pronounce it: peh-NAAWWWWB-scot). :):):):) Make sure it has the "NAAWWWWWB"! :D

Hey, sorry guys, I haven't been on much lately, I swear I haven't disappeared, just been unusually busy this month... I'd say I'm back now, only I'm not entirely, see my dad is putting up a show, and we are at a crunch for time, cause he thought the show started in september, but really it ends then, and starts on friday, and he hasn't even started building his stuff, and only just got the materials. UGH! So, I better run before he realizes I'm sitting down. hee hee. Gotta go!!

-L

Oh yah, welcome back Choco! I'd say I noticed you were gone, only I didn't since I wasn't here either. Heh. :) (poor humor)
