People who live in California, I was wondering how the fires are up there? Just last night, my grandma called my mom to tell her that my aunt and uncle, who live in SF, are coming to New England and they're going to spend Thanksgiving with us. They have a toddler and twin babies. My mom said that they only decided the day before that they were going to fly back here, and they're supposed to be coming today. It was kind of a last minute decision but apparently the smoke is so bad that they have to leave, so it's more like escaping than taking a vacation. So...how is it? I hope that you're all okay.

It’s pretty bad. Or at least where I live it is. My uncles house caught on fire, and his three kittens died, and my aunt got badly injured.

Wow. Yeah, I live in Oregon, and a bunch of smoke is drifting up here,so I know that it's got to be bad, but still...

I personally don’t live in California, but I know that it’s been really bad. A couple of my friends moved there a while back, and I haven’t heard from them in a while... so I’m getting really worried.

(also, go pats! ;)

Wow. As a fellow San Franciscian I wish your aunt and uncle the best of luck! <3 Right now I'm in HK, but I know school has been cancelled for my friends, and the air is unbreathable. :( I know there are some other Californians (Ty, Darkking) so I hope you guys are safe.

I'm a bit late, but yeah, I'm in LA. We're far enough down that we're not affected by the fires (except for the sheer amounts of smoke that were blackening the sky for the last couple weeks), but I know a lot of people who had to evacuate. They are all okay, though. There's a lot of panic about missing people, as well as the wiped-out towns— The list of unnactounted individuals is over 1000.

Oof, I'm glad you're okay, but yeah that sounds really awful, I'm so sorry.

It’s pretty bad, I have no clue how many fires... but there is so much smoke and ash in the air, we’re not allowed to go outside at snack or lunch. You can hardly breath out there! Thanks for asking!

I don't know anyone personally, who lives in California, but I've defintly heard of the wild fires and it's terrifying...I'm so sorry...

Yeah, I know we have a ton of CBers in Cali, and some aren't here anymore so we can't (at least I can't; some people can) contact them anymore and some I haven't heard from in a while. There were also at least 2 CBers from Texas, and I haven't seen/heard from them in a really, really long time and I know there were the storms down there last year. I'm just hoping everyone is alright.

To those who are near the fires or have been at all touched by the presence of them, I hope you are all well and that those who you love are too. You are all in my thoughts and prayers <3
