Description of how you think you would look on the CB:

I've never had an AE because, many moons ago, there was a lot of conroversy on here over AEs and I chose to not have one before I left. Though, since it seems acceptable enough now, I might have to come up with one by the end of the reunion.  

What does your house on the CB look like? (For clarification: there have been some threads in the past where you roleplay as if you are living in the world of the CB, and this was a part of one of them. I thought it would be fun to bring back. ^^):

Oooh, I never got a chance to do one of these. Hmm. I want it to be a house that's out by the coast, where you can see the stars stretching out in the sky over the ocean. There would be glass walls so everything is bathed in natural light. There's a library, where I keep a lot of books, though there are books and papers and projects scattered all around the house. That's all I can think of right now.

I assumed a few different identities for games, but I can't recall any of them to save my life.  

Why did you pick your name?:

My initials! My name is actually Sarah.  

What things do/did you feel are/were a big part of your time on the CB?:

Man, I don't know. I talked about books a lot, and musicals, and I shared some writing. I ranted a fair bit about various things as well. To be honest, I remember the people more than I can remember the specific content I participated in. 

How 2018 went (How was life? Did anything exciting or momentous happen?):

It was an interesting year. School was an absolute mess, and I had a rough time in a lot of other things, but I'm around and living life.  

How life in general has been (Since you left, or from when you joined. Whatever works!):

Well, it's been up and down the past few years. Mental health has been very much up and down, but there have been some high points. I think I'll do this here, since I want to come full circle a bit. I don't know if this is still a thing, but I know LGBT issues were pretty major on here for a bit. I know that I said things about this, as well as other issues, that I don't agree with anymore. But that's why the CB is cool. It's a snapshot of past me. In the past, I may have said some hurtful things, but the things I said for awhile were a lot a result of me having trouble reconciling with myself because of the beliefs of the people I am surrounded with. If I ever said anything to you, I'm truly sorry for that.

Anyway, back to the questions! 

Basic description of your appearance (Not too detailed, please, we don’t want to endanger your privacy!): 

Everyone always compliments my eyes. They're green, but not startlingly green or anything like that. They're a bit grey and a bit green. If you look really closely, they look like two different shades of green.

My hair is brilliantly frustrating, so it's usually increadibly frizzey and pulled up in a bun, but it's dark blonde with natural golden highlights. If I actually cared about how I looked, I could have stunning hair, but I don't care enough.

I'm relatively short, and pretty athletic.

Sherlock, Lord of the Rings (and Tolkein in general, so include the Hobbit, Silmarillion, and all the histories in there as well), Team Starkid (absolutely obbsessed), a load of musicals (Great Comet, Ghost Quartet, Hadestown, Next to Normal, Sweeny Todd, Spring Awakening...I could continue) 

Favorite Animals:

Dogs. I love dogs. Absolutely adore them. Am allergic, but adore them.

Jurrassic Park, Lord of the Rings trilogy, Moonlight, Moulin Rouge, Black Panther. (I can't think of anything else which is weird because I love movies, so I might think of more later)

What Hogwarts house are you in?

I am passionately against the house system as it forces children who haven't developed yet as a person to confront their idea of self from a lens encouraged by sorting, BUT if I must answer, I suppose I'm a Slytherin. I've thought about this a lot the past few months (don't ask, it's complicated), and the only reason I say Slytherin is that I'm hecka ambitious and annoyingly cunning. I am an excellent plotter. However, I am also clever and creative, like a Ravenclaw, intensely believe in hard work, like a Hufflepuff, and incredibly reckless, like a Gryffindor. But, overall, I'd say I'm a Slytherin (or Slytherclaw).

Heh. Well, I have these clay roses my sister made me after a show that I treasure beyond everything.

Math. I adore it. There's just something about learning all these things and then solving problems. Also, I love chemistry and biology.

I always thought that fall was my favorite, and I do love fall, the way the leaves change and everything seems to settle into a routine after the summer, and the cold seems to wake you up. But now I'm figuring out more and more that I am in love with spring. We'll have random 60 degree days in the middle of February and I'll fall in love with the world again, and everything will stop being about survival and it turns into growth.  

Favorite kind of weather?

Warm, rainy weather, where you can dance outside and people smile at you instead of thinking you're crazy.

The power to understand excactly what I can do to help people the most at a given moment. Like, my friend is off and instead of not being sure what to do I know that sending her GIFs from her favorite TV show and eating carrots is what I can do to be most helpful.

This is a vague question, so I'll assume I can do anything within reason (no removing poverty or any such thing). I would make it so there were five seasons of Sherlock.

What things do/did you feel are/were a big part of your time on the CB?: I'm currently doing my third ski lodge, so those have been pretty big. I've also done lot with my AEs.

Technically I’m still in school, I just don’t go a whole lot. *buries face in hands* I’ve made friends online. Y’all, and others on Quora. I’m probably kinda depressed, so overall, 2018 sorta... Sucked. Well. Yeah! I ate a lotta ice cream.

I’ve got a pretty cool skeletal system, though it’s not quite as flexible as I’d like. I’ve got a decent muscular system, though it could use a bit more maintenance. I have hair, though it’s kinda terrible. I usually wear clothing, y’know, the type that covers you. I’ve got a pretty wonderful brain, except for when it turns on me and tries to stab me in the back with my own vertabrae. And that’s about it.

Introduction, freelance: I consider myself to have a chill but serious personality. I hung around during 2016 and 2017. This was the first online community I ever joined. I changed a lot since then. For more info go to my returning post.

Description of how you think you would look on the CB: Like I do irl, I suppose. I used to have a different CB appearance that was based on the MC on my novel.

AE descriptions (Physical, personality, whatever! Go for it!): I had one, but I don't think I'm going to bother with it anymore. But if you must know, my AE was a very smart humanoid robot that always wore this weird vial necklace. I honestly can't remember anything else about her.

What does your house on the CB look like? (For clarification: there have been some threads in the past where you roleplay as if you are living in the world of the CB, and this was a part of one of them. I thought it would be fun to bring back. ^^): Uhh no idea . . .

Previous names on the CB (even temporary ones): In order: "The Novelist," "Novelist," "Nova."

Why did you pick your name?: I had a creativity block and the only thing I could think of was Novelist (I was writing my first novel when I joined). I switched to Nova because it was shorted, sharper, and also the name of my ex-AE. Now, I like Nov because I think it's even sharper, plus I like gender-neutral usernames anymore.

What things do/did you feel are/were a big part of your time on the CB?: I think I hung around Pudding's Place and Chirp at Cricket a lot? I used to roleplay some too. Honestly, I can't remember.

How 2018 went (How was life? Did anything exciting or momentous happen?): Well, I spiraled down into the pit of depression, abandoned writing, got into video games, and discovered myself. I am demiromantic, and I'm currently questioning whether I'm biromantic, too. I'm almost sure I am. I've also converted to agnosticism.

How life in general has been (Since you left, or from when you joined. Whatever works!): Not gonna lie, it's been pretty sucky. My relationship with my mom is strained more than ever it seems. 

Basic description of your appearance (Not too detailed, please, we don’t want to endanger your privacy!): Chinese. Wavy, semi-short black hair, chocolate eyes, 5'6" and kind of slim. Broad shoulders.

Favorite Fandoms: I was never the fandom type, admittedly. Right now the only fandom I'm truly part of/enjoy is the Splatoon fandom.

Favorite Animals: That's one thing that hasn't changed about me. I still love all animals.

Favorite Games: I like indie action games and Metroidvanias. Currently, I love Splatoon 2; Hollow Knight; Undertale; Deltarune; the Shantae series; Iconoclasts, Detroit: Become Human; and Just Shapes & Beats. There are probably some more but those are the ones off the top of my head.

Favorite Movies: The Matrix; The Avengers; Ocean's 8; Tangled (yes, still). I think there are some that I'm just not thinking of. 

Favorite Books: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series (I really need to get back into that); The Alienist; Sherlock Holmes; I, Robot; the Pokémon manga if that counts (another series I need to catch up on).

Previous names on the CB (even temporary ones): I was temporarily Eowyn, but that was only for about 2-3 weeks before I switched back.

Why did you pick your name?: I originally wanted to be Hermione Granger, but saw that there was a Hermione already, so I reached for the closest name-Cho Chang. I had only just finished Goblet of Fire (finished all the books now though, almost a year ago!) and thought she sounded interesting.

What things do/did you feel are/were a big part of your time on the CB?: The debate thread, lol.

How 2018 went (How was life? Did anything exciting or momentous happen?): Meh, not great. I wrote another book and went to the Japan Universal Studios to hit some highllights.

Why did you pick your name?: Long story short, when I first started writing, I wanted a fancy pen name like, oh I dunno, Lemony Snicket's. I took my two favorite colors, purple and green, switched up the spelling and, uh, yeah! Vyolette Greene was born. I've since then changed my pen name, though. 

What things do/did you feel are/were a big part of your time on the CB?: Um... I mostly participate in games and Ski Lodges? I don't really do RPs?? 

How 2018 went (How was life? Did anything exciting or momentous happen?): Oof, 2018 was... emotional. Lot's of stuff happened. A baby cousin was born, my family's dog got put down (RIP, Chipper...), I got a baby rabbit who we then found out that my sister was severely allergic to, my great-grandpa got really sick and ended up dying, and yeah... stuff. Looking back though, I myself definitely changed a lot. My writing has improved significantly and I think, mostly due to the events I've listed above, I've matured a lot more, too. 

How life in general has been (Since you left, or from when you joined. Whatever works!): Life is... life! A word which here means "jam-packed with so much school that I don't really have time for anything else".

What does your house on the CB look like? I thought it would be fun to bring back. ^^): hmm, I've never really thought about it, but I guess, a cozy little log house with a window seat, a cozy loft, a fireplace, and lots of books.

Why did you pick your name?: Well, I've used it before on other sites and I've always loved reading.  I've been reading ever since i was 4 or 5.

What things do/did you feel are/were a big part of your time on the CB?: Um, I'm not sure, I wasn't as active as I would of liked to be.  I guess the Three Kingdoms RP I started, and the Writing/Art Contest I did. That was a lot of fun.  I think Inktail was my partner.  Is she around still?

How 2018 went (How was life? Did anything exciting or momentous happen?):  Life has been pretty good, just crazy busy.  My baby sister was born in July. (She's adorable.)  I also took the PSAT in the fall, and got my driver's permit.

How life in general has been (Since you left, or from when you joined. Whatever works!): Like I said above, pretty good, just really busy, as I do Irish dance, taekwondo, and fiddle lessons, and because I live in the middle of nowhere, all of them are at least a half an hour away.

What is on your resume these days? Um, a couple of babysitting jobs, a few jobs watching someone's animals, and a couple of gold medals on the National Latin Exam.

What part of the world do you live in? Where would you like to go? The Midwest, U.S.  I'd like to go to Italy and Southern Germany.  I've been to Southern Germany for like a day, loved it, and now want to see more.

Hobbies? Writing, reading, browsing, reading fanfiction, Archery and Rifle, Hunting. ( I do a Shooting Sports SPIN 4-H group.)

What would you bring to a desert island out in the middle of nowhere? Water, Food, tent, sleeping bag, gun, flare, book, phone.

Where would you least like to be stranded? I have no Idea.

Favorite book/author/genre of literature?  Probably fantasy, but I'll read almost anything, and like I said, my favorite book/series is the Tales of Goldstone Wood.

Favorite band/song/genre of music?  Um, I like Irish music a lot, I also listen to Peter Hollens, and Taylor Davis, who is a violinist.  There's also a Youtube group called Clamavi de Profundis that does amazing Lotr song covers from the books, that I listen to sometimes.  Also, has anyone heard of the band Why Don't We?  I'm not super into them, but my cousin loves them and they've got really good voices.

Dream job? I'm not sure, something to do with foreign languages probably.

What makes you smile? Good jokes, sarcasm, little kids being adorable.

Greetings folks. I am shoshannah, I was on and off for part of 2016 or so. I wasn't hugely prominent, and I ended up leaving because I simply wasn't posting very much, but I certainly enjoyed my time here and remembered that today was a special day so I thought I'd pop back in!

I posted under a few different names at some point (including pretending to be a new CBer at one point... those middle school memories...) but I simply can't remember what they are.

Why did you pick your name?

Because I have a great affinity for lilies and shoshannah means just that (or rose, it depends) 

What things do/did you feel are/were a big part of your time on the CB?:

Hmm. I had some fun with RP's and ski lodges (unfortuanately I never finished either!) I'm pretty sure I invented the first renaming thread (ie, answer these questions and I'll give you a new name) and the first steal-the-cookie thread, and I've definitely seen both reappear. 

How 2018 went (How was life? Did anything exciting or momentous happen?): 

Amazing. Met awesome people, went new places, tried new things and got better at them

Introduction, freelance: Hi, my name is Starseeker! I'm a current member of the CB and I've been here for about 3 years now. It's great to meet you all!

Description of how you think you would look on the CB: loosely curled dark purple hair that's shoulder-length in front and chin-length in back; vibrant magenta eyes; golden star freckles smattered across my pale skin; usually found in high heeled combat boots, black skinny jeans, cropped black tank top, and a hooded cloak that shimmers with golden constellations.

AE descriptions (Physical, personality, whatever! Go for it!): I have one AE, named Zoey. She's the MC in my novel and can seem standoffish at first, but is actually quite compassionate. She's pale, with raven-dark hair complete with bluish sheen, wolfish ice-blue eyes, and large brown bird's wings. 

Captcha descriptions (^): A little red and blue dragon named Starfire Scales. She mostly sleeps nowadays.

What does your house on the CB look like? (For clarification: there have been some threads in the past where you roleplay as if you are living in the world of the CB, and this was a part of one of them. I thought it would be fun to bring back. ^^): Hmm, I haven't thought about it much.

Why did you pick your name?: Ooh, boy, here we go. Long story short, Starseeker was the name of a Wings of Fire OC I made a long time ago.

What things do/did you feel are/were a big part of your time on the CB?: Apparently I inspired a lot of people? I dunno, really. 

How 2018 went (How was life? Did anything exciting or momentous happen?): I continued in my high-school journey, wrote the main body of my novel, and finally cut my hair and developed my own sense of style. I also got an internship with a theatre downtown (I write plays for them), joined a game show, and got into the top band in my school.

How life in general has been (Since you left, or from when you joined. Whatever works!): Hmm, pretty good! I've found an incredible friend, and she's helped talk me through some issues.

Basic description of your appearance (Not too detailed, please, we don’t want to endanger your privacy!): Well, my hair is vaguely similar to my CBer appearance, but it's straight and brown. Like my AE, I have pale skin and ice-blue eyes-- I've had friends and other people tell me that they approached me because of my eyes. Hmm, what else? I'm average height, with an incredibly odd body shape-- tiny waist, full hips. Apparently it's society's ideal type, but all that means to me is that pants don't fit.
