ahhh the dreaded voicecracks. I feel your pain. Scary, but unavoidable honestly, everyone will have some sort of messup like that in a performance

SAME I think I look like a dying chicken, but I still dance subtly when nobody is in the area.

@Twirlgirl- Ah, that's not a bad thing! Imagining the characters are real shows you get more enjoyment out of the book, and I used to do similar as well.

@Jithkeeper/Spiffycat- I actually went through something like this, where I thought that my friends were watching everything I did. I felt constantly nervous and embarassed. Yes, this is kinda bad, but it also shows that you're self-aware and care about what your friends think of you.

@Aquamarine and anyone else who mentioned being afraid of the dark- You're definitely not alone! I personally suffer from a fear of the dark because I'm intensely near-sighted (I wear glasses) and have been from a young age. When in bed, I had my glasses off, so everything around me was extremely blurry, making it easy for me to see things. Not only that, I suffered from some pretty awful nightmares that were set in the night, so I was always afraid that a character from those nightmares would come back. A lot of those nightmares even took place in my bedroom itself, with the monster waiting for me to set foot out of bed before attacking.

I'm fourteen now and of course I know that there aren't monsters in the night or the dark, but I experienced enough of the phobia as a child that still makes me dread the dark. It's a natural feeling and can easily be caused by other things (like my glasses!), not just a childish or embarassing fear of the dark. Know that it's okay to be afraid of what you can't entirely see.

@Coyote, I do too! I often do it in my room when I'm alone and I have music on, but my room's small, so I often end up kicking or hitting something in my attempt to dance, and then abruptly stop and hope no one heard the noise.

That reminds me of something else embarrassing I do, too: I also just dance randomly. Sometimes when there's no music and people are around. It's kind of like an absent-minded thing I do without really realizing I'm doing it. I usually don't do it in public, but when I'm at home or at someone's house I often will. Like when I'm standing around waiting for something, I sometimes dance subtly. Or I'll do it accidentally when I'm just going about my life. Sometimes I even dance slightly while I'm just talking to someone. And then people give me weird looks and wonder what the heck I'm doing.

Yeah...I'm not normal. XD

I do the same thing ALL THE TIME! Sometimes I'll assess people's personalities based on characters from muscials. One of my friends is a blend of Angelica from Hamilton and Jared from Dear Evan Hansen.

I'm scared of the dark, that's probably partially why my username is Darkking. I guess it's because I thought, and still think, that if you make your fear a part of yourself then you'll stop being scared... Well, that got deep. *nervous laughter*

ipup

*pats Mor's head* Fine, if you're good then maybe we can get a dog.

Dogs are quite loyal creatures and are very enjoyable.

PuPpY?!?!

When I was little, like really little, I used to want to have like 20 kids or something when I grew up, and name them all after people from Assassin's Creed.

If that's not strange, I don't know what is.

I often narrate my life in my head as if I was in a book, formulating the right adjectives for everything that happens. It's actually quite fun.

Also, when I turn on the clothes washer, it calculates the load for approximately 5 seconds, then starts washing. So when I do my laundry, I start it, then leave the room as quickly as possible, because I imagine that when it begins washing the room explodes and I can't be touching the floor within when it does.

I declare, you and I must be the same person in some alternate universe. Not only do I narrate my life in my head, but I also have this feeling of 'This cannot go right unless I am not in the room'!
