Chatterbox: Down to Earth

ENDGAMEAHHHH

ENDGAME

AHHHHHHHHHH omigosh, so I just saw it yesterday and my. Goodness. *fangirls* I am still freaking out. Ahhh. I still haven’t finished processing it. Now I’m going to spew some thoughts about it in no particular order.

**WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD. DO NOT READ ON UNLESS YOU HAVE EITHER SEEN THE MOVIE OR DON’T CARE ABOUT SPOILERS. THE AUTHOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LIVES RUINED BY THE ACCIDENTAL READING OF SPOILERS**

It was an incredible movie—I loved every second (well almost). First of all, the sheer scale of the movie was really impressive. All the time travel stuff and different groups of characters doing different things at the same time kind of scrambled my brain, but it was super cool.

I totally wasn’t expecting past-Thanos to find out about their plan! That was such a crazy plot twist, especially since I thought we were done with Thanos after Thor chopped his head off.

Oh, hah, and Thor. I wasn’t sure whether to be amused or horrified by his midlife-crisis-resembling-thing. XD

It was a surprisingly funny movie for being so dire. I was expecting it to be more, I don’t know, dark and desperate, I guess, but I loved all the comedic relief. Despite that though, it was quite the emotional rollercoaster of a movie. The stakes were so high and I was on edge for probably half of the movie. Near the end my heart was pounding, I was on the edge of my seat, and I was shaking slightly. XD

I think my favorite part of the entire movie was when T’Challa came through the time portal and then all the other portals opened up and people started coming out and everyone who was dusted came back and it was just—ah it was so amazing and powerful. Before that I had had this sort of sense of hopelessness and then as soon as that first portal opened I suddenly got this feeling that everything would turn out okay and it was amazing. I was so so happy to see all my beloved characters returning, the ones I had so feared we had lost forever.

Another awesome part was when Cap was in the elevator with the Hydra guys and he goes ‘hail Hydra’ and they just hand over the case. After that the entire theater started clapping, it was awesome.

Okay, now let’s all just take a moment now to mourn the loss of two beloved characters who won’t be returning. R.I.P. Natasha and Tony...*sobs* I’m still not over it, honestly, I think it’ll be awhile...

Okay—but Steve and Peggy though! That might have been my favorite part, actually. It was just so satisfying. That was the thing that had probably haunted me the most in the MCU, the fact that they had never gotten together. But then they did, and they finally had their dance and ahhhhhh.

And also! There’s going to be a Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3!!! AHHHHHH I’m so excited for that even though it’s going to be next year (how will I wait ah). And I was so happy that they brought Gamora back—if in a strange roundabout way. Quillmora has another chance!

I didn’t cry though. Not once. I almost cried several times, and I can remember nearly tearing up when Nat died, and Clint’s face...AGHHH it was just heart wrenching. D,X Honestly I’m disappointed in myself for not shedding a single tear.

The fact that they didn’t have an end credit scene though! That was just so disappointing! About a third of the audience stayed until the end, just to be disappointed. There were a lot of audible ‘NO’s and ‘Whaaaat!’s (some of them my own).

I could go on, but those are my thoughts off the top of my head, and that is also a wall of text. If you made it through that rant of me barfing all my Endgame-fangirl-feels all over the page I applaud you. Who else has seen it? What are your thoughts?  Please tell me I’m not the only one—I NEED to people to fangirl (and mourn) with.

OH MY GOSH I LOVED ENDGAME!

*MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD (obviously)*

I saw it yesterday, and it was SO GOOD. I freaked out when Nat died, especially because of Hawkeye's reaction. I mean, he just lost his freaking family, and now his best friend? I was not expecting that. I did expect Tony Stark to die, though, so that didn't make me cry. (Though Peter Parker talking to him after he died almost made me tear up.) I cried during Tony's funeral, though. And at the points where Nat was mentioned after her death. I don't usually cry during movies (not even during Infinity War when Bucky died... tho that might be bc of online spoilers that I had gotten about his death), but I definitely cried at Endgame. At the theater, there was a group of teenage girls sitting nearby, who were fangirling audibly when various characters came back in the battle near the end. They cracked me up.

The ending wasn't particularly satisfying to me. I mean, I love that Cap finally got a life, but is that really the best way to end the Avengers saga? I don't know. I do like that Falcon became Captain America, tho I was hoping Bucky would take up the shield instead (he became Captain America before Falcon did in the comics, but whatever). Apparently Falcon and Bucky are getting their own TV show, too, which will be hilarious.

Anyway, that turned into a wall of text, so I'll sign off now.

PS That movie was a really short three hours.

Yeah, I was kinda disappointed Bucky didn’t take up the shield, too. I thought he should have. I mean, Falcon was already a superhero, and now he’s gonna be the new Cap? That’s so cool that they’re getting their own show though.

The end wasn’t all that satisfying to me either honestly. I loved that Cap and Peg got together, but beyond that it just felt like something was missing. Like there needed to be more closure or something. But honestly I don’t think I could ever be truly satisfied with the ending because just the fact that it’s ending is sad.

And yeah, it really was a short three hours. It flew by.

It’s the fourth Avengers movie and the last in the Avengers saga. And, as you could probably tell, it’s blown up and everyone is freaking out about it. XP

I figured as much.

@Admins, sorry, I forgot about the translate thing. I said "I am very tired, sorry". I tend to switch to Spanish sometimes.

It's really very amusing to read someone's thought-spewing for a movie you haven't seen, don't intend to ever see, and don't know any of the characters in.

DUDE I DON'T CARE IF I OUGHT TO BE WRITING (Sanvri or Camp NaNo) BECAUSE

"We're in the endgame now."

*starts sobbing on the floor*

Can we like, talk about how each original Avenger had their own nice, neat little arc and it was BEE-YOO-TI-FUL if sometimes slightly depressing?

MY CAP

I CAN'T EVEN

And I just realized that we are forcing the Admins to see spoilers.

So I'm stopping. @Admins, are any of you interested in seeing the movie minus spoilers?

OMIGOSH. YES. THE CHARACTERS AHH. Their arcs and development and everything was so amaziiiing. I thought they were stronger in this movie than ever.

“I know it’s gonna work. ‘Cause I don’t know what I’m gonna do if it doesn’t.”

Ahhh that might be my favorite quote, partly because I’ve literally said that before.  *sobs on the floor with you*

Oh. You’re right, I hadn’t thought of the Admins seeing the spoilers. D: @Admins, to second Cho’s question, do the spoilers bother you?

They never have. Most often I've already read the book or seen the movie so it's no spoiler for me. Other times it's for something I have no desire to read or see. But thank you for thinking of us!

IT IS MY FAVORITE LINE

Other than "I am Iron Man." But that's classic. ^^

I saw Endgame too!

In our theater, there was a sign that said "Avengers: Endgame has no end credits scene." I was pretty disappointed, because I wanted to see them all eat at the Shwarm place again. Like, every single Avenger there, including the Asgardians, all of Wakanda, and the monks.  it would have been awesome just to see the Shwarma guy open the door, see all the Avengers, and just be like "Oh no."

At least they gave everyone a fair warning. XP Oh my goodness yes. That would have been the best. I actually said, after the credits, “They could have at least had another Shawarma scene!”

well, actually, they did have a thing after all of the credits. It’s the sound of the hammer that Tony uses while making his first suit. ok, I’m just gonna go cry on my couch for a hour or two.

I JUST SAW THIS

STEVE AND PEGGY GOT THEIR DANCE AND THAT'S ALL I CARE ABOUT

That's a total lie. XP Though my sister is very disappointed in my complete love for that scene.

AAAAAAAAAYAYAYAAAAAA TONY STARK HAD A CHILD

THEN HE DIED

AND EVERYONE WAS SAD

*Sobbing* I am Iron Man... I am Iron Man... aaaaaaahhhhh...

Did any else notice Natasha's last words?

Natasha: It's gonna be okay.

*Flips over and dies*

Clint: *internal death*

RIP my soul.

Okay, Cap saying "Hail Hydra" was super smart, but as my dad pointed out... Captain America lied.

DUN DUN DUUUUUN

Who esle hates Sam beign the 'new' Captain America? And Bucky just stood there? Augh! Maybe I'm too much of a fangirl, but I dunno. Cap going back to what his life could've been (AND DUMPING SHARON FOR PEGGY SMART MOVE STEVE YOU AND PEGGY BELONG TOGETHER) was pretty nice but bittersweet, like in How to Train your Dragon 3 when they let all the dragons go.

(They got their dance

why am I so happy about this)

Also, so many perfectly-placed references to past movies! Cap fighting himself?

"I could do this all day."

*Tiredly* "Yeah, I know."

And, Cap on the ground, sheild broken, everything dark and hopeless? You guys were thinking Ultron too, right?

While we're in this part of the movie, I'm gonna fangirl about Cap lifting the Hammer.

YES. HE IS WORTHY. HE IS SO WORTHY. CAP'S FINAL EPIC BATTLE IS GONNA BE WORTH IT. THAT IS THE BUTT OF AMERICA *editing language (*coughUltroncough*). WHAT AM I EVEN SAYING ANYMORE.

(Peggy and Steve got their dance)

(I'm happy)

Wow, my fangirling turned into a wall of text. Sorry for all the cringy short sentences, I'm just really happy right now. @Ella, oh, doing another Shwarma after-cradit scene woudl have been awesome! But... Tony wouldn't have been there to enjoy the Shwarma. *sniffs*
