Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Choose your own

Choose your own adventure, zombie apocalypse version. Because I've somehow become ever so slightly obsessed with zombies.

You are in Alaska. It is summer. Suddenly, a zombie walks out from behind a tree and moans at you. Do you try to fight it, stop in your tracks, or run away?

I... okay? I didn't plan for this, but...

You go home and are greeted by your friends ('cause, remember, this is based on a dream I had, and in that dream there were a bunch of friendly people in my house), who don't really question you. Online, you don't see any posts about a situation like yours, but they might just not be up yet, and you can always write your own. Do you?

Oo this looks awesome! For the first step, I would run. There are probably more coming, and I couldnt fight all of them!

All right. You run away. The zombie shuffles slowly after you, but you easily outpace it. Soon enough, it's out of sight (and you don't see any others, either). Do you go home, out into the wilderness, or somewhere else?

I would go to the police station, but if its too far I'd call 911. Zombies cant be running around town!

Let's see... You go to the police station and find someone to make your report to. They tell you they'll keep an eye out, but you're not sure they believe that you saw a zombie. Do you try to convince them further, let it be and leave, or do something else?

I would definitely run away

Same.

IRL?

Scream like a maniac, run away as fast as I have ever moved in my entire life, and keep screaming.

Okay. You run away, screaming. The zombie shuffles slowly after you, but you easily outpace it. Soon enough, it's out of sight, and you're probably out of breath. Do you go home, out into the wilderness, or somewhere else? And do you stop screaming?

Um... home. Grab a saw (let's pretend I know how to use it) to cut its limbs off if it comes. Yes, I stop screaming because then it will have an easier time tracking me.

You stop screaming and run home. You're greeted by your friends, who live with you because dream logic. (This is based on a dream I had, remember?) You, uh, find a saw... somewhere? The basement, maybe? By the way, this is a relatively standard two-story house with an attic and a basement, a porch, a yard and a garden or something... and on one side, a low stone wall that slopes down a hill. Anyway.

One of your friends notices you walking around with your saw and asks what it's for. Do you tell them the truth, lie, or do something else?

Summer in Alaska. I have light, then. I run away a good distance, then take a picture of the zombie with my phone for proof, then keep running and try to find help.

Okay, you do that. The zombie shuffles slowly after you, but you easily outpace it. Soon enough, it's out of sight. Where do you go for help--home, out into the wilderness, or somewhere else?

I would go home to safety after running away.
