Happy Valentine's day

Happy Valentine's day

Happy Valentine's day, everybody! Good to see you all. I forgot it was CBer visit day until Luna-Star mentioned it, soooo...good thing there. :3

Even though I keep up with a lot of you regularly on the YWP classroom and Kyngdom, I didn't want to miss the chance today to see all the other returning CBers--hi, Dragonrider, Rose bud, and everybody else! And hello to any new CBers that have joined since I left.

I hope all of you have been doing well! I do check the CB often and I wanted to let y'all know I've been praying for you and your families...especially Starseeker's family, Leeli's dad, and Rose bud's mom. (I am so so glad to hear she's doing better!)

Over the past few months, I published my two ski lodges and got my driver's license. (In fact, today was the very first time I ever drove to the store without a parent in the car!) I added on to my website, and I decided to seriously pursue a career in writing. (As opposed to a field in animal sciences, which I'm interested in as a hobby.)

Also, I'm making my way through junior year of high school, so that's fun! It's my second year at this school, and I love my classmates, teachers, and the atmosphere, making the super-long drive worth it.

Things are going great on the farm. We've downsized our massive chicken army, so we only have about fifteen left from the original 50 or 60. Also, this winter, our sheep have had five lambs--two boys and three girls. It's cuteness overload!

Maybe I'll think of more things to add, but it's late, so I should probably be posting this now. Again, happy Valentine's day!

Technically, I left the CB, but I have stuck around on a few threads, ones that were around before I left. And anyways, I'm still on NaNo and Kyngdom.

I think pursuing a career in writing is perfect for you, Mice-- I love your writing style and all the characters you create. I actually want to pursue a career in the writing field, but not writing itself. I would rather be an agent or an editor, helping writers' books and stories become perfect. Perhaps one day I'll even edit your books. (After all, dreams do come true, heheh.) I've also thought about possibly pursuing a career in psychology. The human brain and what it can accomplish is amazing, and I love learning about how it works.

I have a semi-long drive to my school, too! I live in a seriously rural area (only about 200 or less, probably less, people living in my specific town.) It takes about 20-25 minutes to drive to school, and even longer on a bus. As opposed to schools in most towns, where it typically takes about ten minutes.

I live on a "homestead", but also not really. We have chickens, but they aren't just any chickens--they're show chickens. We started out humbly at our local fair, but now we go to professional chicken shows, like Ohio Nationals, which is the largest chicken show in the US. We've been downsizing our flock from about 100 birds to about 50 birds.

Okay, I'll post this now, I think.

Ahh, hearing you love my writing means a lot, Sybill. Thanks so much :) :)

Editing/being an agent sounds like such a cool job. Imagine being an editor for the next big novel--and all the connections you'd make! I would be thrilled to have you as an editor to my books someday. Keep in touch XD

Small towns are awesome. To me, big cities don't feel welcoming, and in my mind, they exist for resources like shopping and jobs, but all the real living and growing happens from the comforts of your own property. Our town is definitely rural, but not as small as yours. It's an old, slow-moving city, but everybody is really nice.

Allllsooooooooo...

YOU SHOW CHICKENS!! And you only just now mentioned this?!?! That's so cool! What breed(s) does your family show? How long have y'all been showing? I would love to visit a chicken show one day just to see the most beautiful versions of every breed. I used to want to show chickens, but I had no idea where to start, and our flock was/is definitely not show stock. XP Anyway. That's awesome.

We've been showing for a while now, actually. I think five years. We show Catalanas, D'uccles, and bantam New Hampshires.

Oh, cool. Mille Fleur D'uccles are my favorites, but sadly I have never owned any.

Hi! I'm so happy to see you! I'm binge-reading the Lake Lelillo ski lodge, because I kind of disappeared in the middle of it. I kept trying to check back in to read it, and I always started around page 25, because that's where I thought I had left off. But yesterday I finally got into it, and after reading 12 pages, I found a comment from myself in 2018 on page 37! I wish I had known I left off there because I would've read a lot more of it a lot a lot sooner and not completely disappeared once my role in it started getting more important. The story is getting so intense and I love it so much, and I kinda don't want to finish it because I don't want it to be over! I love getting to see myself as a character in your story because some of the things I say or do are actualy really accurate to myself in real life, and some aren't completely accurate but I can still see myself doing them in my head, if that makes any sense. I'll probably finish reading today, but I really don't want it to be over!

Anyway, I'm so glad to see you, I was really hoping you'd show up. I can't believe you're 17! I still picture everyone being like 14 for some reason, and no one ever ages in my mind, but now you and Rose Bud and Joan are all 17! Glad to hear everything's going well on the farm and with school.

Dragonrider! *hugs* Thank you for stopping by my thread. I was hoping you would be visiting the CB too. :3

Honestly, it's hard to believe I'm seventeen too. I joined Cricket when I was twelve. And time has gone by so fast, yet so slowly. I used to think 17-year-old CBers were super old (and boy was I shy around them), but now I realize that being seventeen isn't really that different from being fifteen or sixteen. But that's how life goes--you always feel the same on the inside. That's a good thing. :)

Oooh, I hope you like the ending of Lelillo, and I'm happy your character is accurate(ish) to the real you. The last installments were a TON of fun to write (no pun intended, haha) and I hope they're just as fun to read no. I'm so glad you were able to join Lelillo all those years ago, and that you're able to read the finale now! Let me know what you think!

Good to see you again <3

Hi Mice!

*awkwardly hugs*

You might not remember me, I joined in June of 2018. I remembr your stories being so brilliant, magical, and just beautiful.

Good to see you again!

Hi Secret, of course I remember you! I'm glad you're still around! Thank you, by the way; that's quite a compliment :) :)

Mice! Good to see you on the CB again. (Ha! I'm glad I reminded you.:)) What classes do you have this year? Have you named the lambs yet?

This year I'm taking chemistry, pre-calculus, US history, Bible, American Literature, Graphic Design, and a careers class where we learn how to make resumes, budgets, take the ACT, and all that good stuff. Soon we'll be doing mock job interviews, which we're all really nervous for. Parents and business people from the community come in and interview us for a job.

We have not named the lambs yet--with so many all at once, it's hard to name them, especially since they all look alike, haha. Their moms are Honey, Sugar, Spice, and Holly, and their dad is named Ricky.

That being said, we're totally open to baby name suggestions!

@Mice, cool! That career class sounds so useful, man. Our high school could use one of those.

As for the lambs, I don't really have ideas. Maybe you could do a theme-type thing like you did with the moms- Caramel, Chocolate, ect.

@Nyx, ha, the ski lodge the admin linked is actually my first ski lodge! (Oh wow, that writing is so cringey. >.<) I can link Mice's ski lodges for you, though!

If these links don't work, they're the fifth and sixth longest threads on Pudding's Place (do the double clicky thing on the replies.)

Ahh Mice! *tackle hug*

It's so great to hear from you! Thanks so much for the prayers, I appreciate it. You're in my prayers as well. I saw on your blog that you published your Ski Lodges--that's so very cool! Also, having lambs is so fun--they're adorable :3 How have you been?

*hugs* Thank you for the prayers as well <3

I've been great! I'm enjoying this year of school, although not the stressful times that accompany project due dates. Right now I'm a tad bit behind on an honors history project, but I think it'll be fine. I haven't been writing as much lately, but I have been doing career research in the writing field, so at least I'm making progress somewhere. I'm also trying to revive my website, as you have already noticed XD

How are you? How are your chickens? Do you still have pet parakeet(s)? My sister's pair is finally getting along after a year of fighting, and they're getting ready for their third clutch of eggs. So far, though, she hasn't been able to keep them alive past a few days. :(
