Location thread!

On this thread put where you are and random facts about your area. So Kent is by Seattle, which more people know about, and in Seattle there is this really cool museum about computers which is really hands on. I saw that Cello is in Seattle! Hi Cello! Have you been to the Museum of Flight? Or the Pacific Science Center?

I live in Bradford. It's really small and pretty boring, but I can say that my town is older than the U.S. Also, we only have like two thousand people.

Hello! I have been to the museum of flight and the Pacific science center!

They are both really cool. Here in Seattle, school has been cancelled for two plus weeks because of the coronavirus. I am not happy. How is the coronavirus affecting you?

I live in a town in Oregon (Willamette Valley) where Herbert Hoover lived for a while. Yay. But (to outsiders) that's really the only special thing about it.

That's ok! It's a weird name, I know.

Well....school's shut down cuz of corona...which means online school for at least a week! Let's GO! More worldbuilding time!! Except today we had to bring home practically EVERYTHING from school along with a poster board for our science projects so that was "FUN". -_-

I live in a tiny town (four miles diameter) right outside of Atlanta. My school's out too, and we have online schooling for at least two weeks, but we might have it until April. My parents have me basically under quarintine, so no friends for the first two weeks, AT LEAST. My ambriverted self is actually a bit sad for once. If it wasn't for Email or FaceTime, I'd go crazy!

I live in southern Vermont and my school just shut down for at least two weeks. I'll have to do some online schooling which doesn't sound that bad. I'm kind of bummed about school but only excited for a break. Also, I got a 100 on my algebra test which I'm so happy about! This whole virus seems so surreal and weird. How do you feel about it?

I live in Central New York (State) where spring is chilly, wet, and sometimes snowy. All of the schools in my area are closed for a month because of COVD-19, but since I'm homeschooled, it doesn't effect me much, other than the fact that I can can message and play Minecraft with my friends during normal school hours *pumps fist*.

I have the funniest story. So last night we had violin group on the computer, and one of the teachers was talking about how they went around their neighborhood playing songs for people. She said, “We went Corona caroling!” Thunder and I looked at each other and thought that was really funny sounding. Also the guest dude was kinda big-headed, so he said, “I really truly think,” and then paused, and I imagined him saying, “I am the best!” Just random thoughts. If you guys want, we can make this a coronavirus thread, and post stuff we do and things.

I live in Lorain. It's by Cleveland. I go to school in Cleveland on a normal basis. Right now, we have online school for a couple weeks. I'm pretty sure it will be extended though, maybe to the end of the school year. I didn't think I would mind school closing much, but I actually miss it. I also miss my friends, because most of them don't have phones so we can't talk much. We email, but it's not the same.

I live in Maryland, right outside of DC (like, I can walk there. Easily. It's like six blocks away). I actually really like my town, because we're so close to DC, so you can go to museums and monuments and resturants and stuff, but it's not such a big city that it's all grey and tall. Also we get all four seasons, which is nice. I could do with less heat and more snow, though. That said, the kind of snow we get is sort of an inch or two every so often, which is not quite enough for them to buy snowplaws, I guess? Either way, we're always getting snow days for barely anything. It might also be because my county is huge, so sometimes it's cold enough for snow in northern parts of my county, and for me it's just raining but we still get the day off. It's nice, until they inevitably extend the school year/diminish spring break (our spring break was the same size as our Thanksgiving break last year!)

Anyway, it's a fun place to be, usually. Now everything's all closed down for the virus. I'm a public schooler, and I've been home for two weeks, and we're going to be closed at least for another month. I'm starting online school next week, (yes, we've had no learning at all for the past two weeks. I think the school system's in denial or something? They're just treating it like snow days...) so if anyone has any tips for getting stuff done, etc. that would be nice!
