You know how metacognition is thinking about thinking? Then what is thinking about metacognition, or thinking about thinking about thinking? I don't even know if metacognition is one word.

Thinking-thinking. Simple. If you are thinking about thinking-thinking, you are thinking. Thinking-thinking about thinking is thinking-thinking-thinking-thinking. If one thinks about thinking, it is thinking-thinking, but if one think-thinks about thinking-thinking, again, it is thinking-thinking. Thinking-thinking about thinking is thinking-thinking-thinking.

I am named Moonshine, and I didn't write that. I don't know, maybe someone is pretending to be me, and if so, please don't, even if I don't have anything against what you are saying. On the other hand, I have only been here since just before the pandemic, so if you have always been here and I just didn't realize, just say so, and I can change my name. I mean, I've only been here for a few months, so I'm not attached to it or anything. Please reply so we can clear this up.

I think that there’s a new person named moonshine, with a lowercase m, and your named Moonshine, with a capital M. Maybe someone should rename themselves, or spell something differently, or something. Hope this clears things up, though it isn’t much of an explanation. :)

...are there two Moonshines?...I don't think anyone on the CB would impersonate anyone on purpose (at least, I hope no one would...)

Yes, there are two moonshines. One of them just joined and spells her name with a lowercase m. The we have Moonshine, with a capital M.

Ok, thanks guys. This is Moonshine (with a capital M). I wonder what I should change my name to... hmm, I'll have to think on that... I am open to sugestions!

How about Moonshine 1, then the other one can be moonshine2 ? OR one of you could change to Starshine? Or Sunshine? I don't think either of those names are in use on Chatterbox.

Ooo, Starshine is really pretty! Or you could be Lunashine, cause Luna means Moon... or if you have a fave book character that could be your name.

I like thinking about these things!  It makes me think really hard and my thoughts go around in circles.

Well, Meta means: “(of a creative work) referring to itself or to the conventions of its genre; self-referential.”

And Cognition means: “the mental action or process of acquiring knowledge and understanding through thought, experience, and the senses.”

So maybe thinking about thinking about thinking is Metametacognition?
