Hi! I'm new
Hi! I'm new to CB, and I'm not totally sure what goes in the "Down to earth" section, but I've read some things and it looks like there's a lot of animal lovers!
So... let's talk about animals! What pets does everybuggy have? What's your favorite animal? Do you have any stories about your pets or anmals you've seen?
I have a scruffy dog named Waffles, and an *adorable* hamster named Bunnie. I also have lots of fish.
A story about my hamster:
One morning, I woke up to go say hi to my hamster, when I saw a hole chewed through the roof of her cage! AAAHH! I was so scared! Where could she be? Did my dog eat her? Was she okay? I was soooo scared, because I'd never lost a hamster before! I searched up ways to find lost hamsters, and looked all over for her, but she was nowhere to be seen. Then, when I had basically lost hope, I heard a little sound. It was a teeny pitter patter. I looked closely, and saw that she was walking on a cymbal from a drumset (my dad has a drumset). I guess she wants to be a drummer! *laughs when I think of a hamster playing drums* I was extremely relieved to find her, but now there was another problem. Where do we put her? Her previous cage obviously wasn't safe!! Thankfully, we bought her a new home and she is now safe and happy :)
Does anyone else have pet stories? Or animal stories!

Welcome, Rainbow. Down to Earth is the place to talk about anything in the world around you, so you did just right! I enjoyed your hamster story. Pets can be lots of fun. We might have another person with Rainbow in her/his name, but I think it's a two-part name. Experienced Chatterboxers, please let us know if we have another plain Rainbow. If so, then we'd ask this one to amend Rainbow, so we don't have two people with the exact same name. That can be very confusing.

Hi! It's really nice to meet you! I'm peppermint (aka pepper), and I'm pretty new here too! My pronouns are she/her. My family has a bunch of pets. We have a dog, three cats, a parakeet, and three chickens! The chickens were my birthday present this year, and I really love having them. It's nice having a steady supply of eggs! My favorite animal is a robin. Each year, robins migrate to my area in the winter and eat the berries that grow on toyon bushes by my house. Anyways, I hope to see you around!

Hi, RAINBOW! I'm Ignis Kitsune (which basically means Fire Fox). I. ABSOLUTELY. LOVE. ANIMALS. I currently have two cats named Ember and Tom Kitten, but in total I've had four cats, one of them being my sweet Papi, who we had to put to sleep almost a year ago because of a cancer in his throat (I miss him a lot ;-;)
I have also had a hamster!! Her name was Violet and I had her a really long time ago, she actually had a marking that looked like a heart on her back.
Anyway, all animals aside, it's awesome to meet you and I hope you have a great time on Chatterbox!! :D

I love animals! My only pets are guinea pigs, who are adorable and sweet. <3 I really want a dog, but we don't have enough space or time, so that's not happening. But the piggies are my first pets ever and I love them. They're absolutely hilarious. They sometimes just randomly decide to run insanely around their cage. It's ridiculous XD
The only downside to them is that they pee and poop constantly. I can ony hold them for 20 minutes at a time. Also, they're pretty shy. But they're amazing anyway.
They're also really spoiled (completely my fault). They get hand-fed constantly, snuggles and/or floor time at least once a day, food refills a few times a day, and lots of general love and attention. :)

Smokey -- Queen of the Universe, obviously.
Misty -- our sweet little girl.
Plum -- apparently something so tiny and cute can be SO ANNOYING.
Blackberry - the strangest fluffiest fluff there is.
I can tell about them more if you like and give more accurate descriptions. xD
I think the other Rainbow is Rainbow Riot, but no plain Rainbow.

Hello RAINBOW! Welcome! We're glad you're here :) The CB is a great place and I hope you enjoy it! Definitely check out the link Peppermint gave you, it'll help a lot in learning how the CB works.
As for your name, I believe we have a CBer named Rainbow Riot, but not plain rainbow, so I believe you can keep it.
AnYwAy, PETS! I got a puppy on November 28 after spending the last 13 years of my life BEGGING. I even made a slideshow talking about why my family should get a dog, and they finally decided to listen. Our neighbor was fostering her and my parents decided to adopt her, and they surprised me on November 28, a day I will never forget. Her name is Roxy and she's sooo cute and is very playful and she does this funny thing where she'll sometimes lie on her back and just start wiggling.
