Hello everyone,

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Hello everyone,

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I haven't been very active for the past few days because my grandmother passed away the other day. :(

It's really sad to know that she's gone, but I'm fine!

But I've had a lot of losses recently, because my hamster died last month as well! ;-;

Does anyone have ways of coping with loss?

Sending love to anyone else who's had family members/friends pass!!!

~Clem~

We're sorry to hear about your grandmother, Clementine. Since she's your grandmother, we'll hope that she had a long, full life. It is sad when a loved one dies, but as time goes on you will feel less sad and be able to remember the happy times you had together and smile about them. We'll keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry Clem. My Great Uncle who I didn't really know died the other day and it still hurt so I don't even want to imagine what you're going through. I don't have ways for coping with loss but my Grandfather has alzheimers and I do have a few strategies on dealing with what feels like losing your Grandparents.

1. It's okay to be sad so let that sink in.

2. It's also okay to be numb. You aren't a bad person because of it.

3. Do what makes you happy.

4. Remember the good times but also remember that we will all die someday.

5. Hug yourself. (I swear this works)

I'm so sorry Clementine. I know how sad it is for someone you love to die. I know nothing I say will make the hurt of losing her go away, but just know that if you ever need to talk, we'll be here. Sending good vibes your way. <333

What I do when I'm sad, is I think of my fave song, write in my notebook, take a nice, long, warm bubble bath, and talk to my grandma and Ripley when I can.

The bath REALLY works!

Oh, and I also do Minecraft, and plan what to do on Minecraft. And I also think of somethin' funny I read on the CB.

I'm so sorry Clementine. I know how tough it is to lose someone you love. I remember when my dog passed a few years ago, so I realize it's really hard to handle sometimes. But, you've got to remember sadness always goes away, and even if life might not be the same, your grandmother will still always be with you in your heart. If you ever need help getting through hard times, I suggest two things: A) be with someone that is close to you. I especially suggest a friend in this case since they know and understand you in different ways than your family might. When my dog passed, I was feeling pretty down, but one kid in my class saw what I was going through and helped me a lot. And talking about anything helps. I find that just being around people helps me feel better when I am blue sometimes. Next, I have B) find something to laugh about! I find that even when you're down, you can laugh and laughing feels so good sometimes. If you can laugh, than you can over come your hurt.

I really hope this helps, and I hope you know that the CB will be here whenever you need us (:

My grandma has lung cancer and I'm scared. She hasn't been doing well but because of Covid-19 I can't go and see her. I hope she's okay but could everyone send energy her way please?

We'll keep her and your family in our thoughts and prayers, Kitty Cat.

Oh no! I only just saw this, and I'm so sorry to hear it! Cancer is so scary, and it's so frustrating that COVID's keeping you from being able to see her!

Wishing all the best for you and your family!

Clementine, I'm so sorry about your Grandma. I don't have any tips for handling loss because I'm not very good at it myself, but I'm sending supportive vibes your way <3

Kitty Cat, also sending supportive vibes to you and your grandma <3 Having to stay away from relatives because of COVID is really, really hard.

I lost my grandpa Bill, a year ago to COVID.  He was in a nursing home.  My great grandmother, Mémé recently passed after struggling with a stroke for months.  For anyone who has experienced loss, just know, things will get better.  The wound will never fully heal, and the hurt won't fully go away, but it will subside.  I send my prayers to you. *HUGS*
