Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Storytime---

Storytime

---

Heyo mayo, I guess you can tell your stories here :) funny, kind of sad, ones with a lesson ... surely there's more, but I can't think right now, so just tell any stories you've got here.

---

I'll start: once, when I was younger, I went to a math competition, and I was seated at a table with about maybe six or five other girls, who I'd never met before.

Me, being the extrovert that I was, debated for quite a while on whether or not I should try to talk. After saying 'what's the worst that can happen?' I asked everyone their names.

Dead silence.

Absolutely nobody repsonded. One girl kind of glanced awkwardly at me, but that was it. Totally silent. So I thought to myself–it can't get worse. Surely, it can't get worse. I was already committed, so I went around asking everyone their names individually.

And–and this would be a moral story, you know, what's the worst that can happen? Just go for it, I guess–that would be the moral of the story, except–do you want to know the worst part about it?

The worst part about it was that–

We all had nametags.
