Sigh. Well, I'm happy to rant and talk about COVID and the lockdown, but it's finally 2022! Most of it is over! I was talking with my friend who said that maybe in the future, kids would learn about 2020, Year of Covid. I even found an official   song for it! It's perfect! It's called Germs, by "Weird Al" Yankovic. Listen to it, and you'll see why I think it should be the perfect song for 2020.

I got boosted yesterday! Yesterday was the first day people in my age range could get boosted, and I got mine at 1:20ish. I'm feeling pretty good today - my arm is sore and I'm a little tired, but I was able to go to school and so on.

I got my second shot on Thursday, January 6! I was supposed to get it on the 4th, but they didn't have any vaccines because of the holidays and the weather (yup, we have had some pretty hard rain recently) and even on the 6th they had just enough vaccines for me and a few other people's appointments.

I...I...I...

I have Covid. And...so does my best friend. They tested positive after school on Monday, and I just tested two hours ago and...I'm positive too.

I'm going to have to miss the whole rest of the week of school, and it's supposed to snow this weekend which L and I always get together for when and I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! Any advice for this person who has lock-down anxiety? Or who needs interaction with people?

You are not alone, Neverseen. Many, many others are going through the same thing. Do what you're supposed to do. You'll be able to frolick in future snowstorms. Keep in touch with Chatterbox and your schoolwork and friends.

You can still video call with your friends, and if you have a pet, guess what, they can't get COVID (at least I think) and will keep you company!

I know you will be missing your friends during the snowstorm, but while you're quarantined, think that this is the best way to keep everyone safe. You can keep yourself entertained with art, books, and other hobbies! Good luck :D you got this.

@Neverseen

I feel the exact. Same. Way.

I'm not sick currently because basically I've just stayed in my room and the living room for the past week, so I don't have Covid, (at least according to the test results as of yesterday) but my mom got Covid, so we all have to stay home. The funny thing (not actually funny though :P) is that my school was virtual for all of last week because of all the new cases happening, so I was kind of excited that I'd be able to see my friends in-person again, and then, well, my mom found out her sister had Covid, so we got tested, and she had it.

Yay...

So yeah, I'm doing virtual school for this whole week, maybe next week, maybe even the week after that, depending. I've been feeling really frustrated and sad because I want to see humans other than my family (I love my family so much but I need contact w/ the outside world too...) I can see my friends on FaceTime and play video games with them and stuff but it's not really the same...

Anyway,

bye,

I think I know exactly how you feel! I just got done with covid today. I was restricted to just my room, so it was really hard for me. One tip is to keep your room neat and organized. My room turned into a disaster, and it really just made me even worse and feel really crummy. My brother and I went to the beach, because it is outside, and since we both had covid we could drive together (well, he drove and I sat in the car). So, you might still be able to do stuff outside, if you can get outside. Just try to interact as much as possible with other people, even if it's just over text or zoom, and give some structure to your day. Anyway I know how you feel because you feel like you are the only person with this happening to you. So yah.

Also zoom school is really hard, especially when you are the only one on zoom. What I did is I packed everything in my bag and kept it all organized like I did at school, and then I packed it all up at the end of the day even though I didn't bring it anywhere. it helped keep me sane :)

Pretty sure my roommates and I have COVID.... or at least a strain of it-like Omicron. Grr. I had a fever earlier, and a cough and sniffles. Ugh. It's NOT fun being sick.
