Name: Emekittycon Kitten, you can call me "Em" for short.

Problem: I just feel like I can't do enough. My mom said that I got almost every answer in grammar wrong, and I'm worried that I'm not as smart as people think I am, and I think I'm depressed, like, a MILD depression, but don't quote me on that. I also feel like I'm not pretty, and that a cute guy won't like me. I'm also feelin' overwhelmed with school and chores.

Well, I think you need a good old fashioned mug of positivitea, my friend! So let's see, I shall attempt to help.

Starting with your first set of problems. You say you feel like you can't do enough? Well I have good news for you: you're wrong! I've seen you and I can say that I know for a fact you do plenty: imagine, game, listen to music, find a way to watch good ol' television like the Monkees, find a unique and memorable way to type, even online, ect., and I only know you virtually! So quit being mean to yourself!

Next, it's okay that you're having trouble with grammar. Everyone feels challenged in some part of school (it's math for me--long division I find especially confusing). I believe you've said you're homeschooled before, yes? You and your mom/dad/other guardians know you need help in grammar, so maybe see if there's a way to set aside extra time to practice. Have an adult throw grammar questions at you randomly, such as "(insert your real name here), please pass the salt and also, what is an example of an adverb?" The only real way to get better at something is to practice--practice makes progress! Also, you ARE smart! It wouldn't be school if you already knew this stuff! It's supposed to be tricky. You will get the hang of it, and if some parts take a while, that's okay!

Worrying about how you look? This many people relate to. It's hard to love the skin you're in, but you can start with a reminder that you truly are beautiful, inside and out. And if those guys can't see that, then they don't deserve to like you anyways! You'll find someone who likes you for who you are, not how you look.

As for school and chores, you'll want to sort of break it into chunks. For example, if your room's very messy, you can dedicate each Saturday to cleaning a small part of it, like this Saturday you could, say, organize your desk, and the next you could clean the floor. With school, work seems much less overwhelming if you do the same method, spreading it out and getting it done, bit by bit. You'd want to do this all on the same day, of course, but it would make it seem easier.

Lastly and most importantly, if you think you are depressed, truly, you need to seek actual help. Talk to a parent/guardian about it. I cannot offer any other advice on this matter, because I am not a professional. Luckily, there's lots of people who are professional out there who can help you feel happy about yourself again.

Best of luck, Em! Remember, if nothing else, these two things. One, you do need to seek actual help, as I said before, and two, YOU ARE ENOUGH.

Farewell, adieu, cheerio, bye!

Name: Cranberry

Problem: So at my school, we have this thing called and 8th Grade project, and basically before you start 8th grade, you have to pick a topic, any topic you want, and for the rest of the year you have to work on it. You need to have a mentor, like someone who knows alot about your topic that you meet with every two weeks or so. By May, you need to have a research paper, a presentation, and a deliverable, which is something that you created based off of your project. We're alredy in the second semester of school and I am so behind and on top of that I have to apply to high schools and that's stressful and on top of that, I don't know how to talk to my mom, who thinks I can live without my own device in this world and that I don't need to text people.

If you could help me relax and stop worrying, that would be so awesome. Thank you!
