Um. Hi? Please pretend there is something interesting here and start a scintillating conversation. Thank you! (I'm kinda bad at social stuff...)

And with that epic start, I will abruptly leave.

Hex, I am impressed on the amount of people who have gone on your written picture thread. You are quite talentled.

I have not read Amber and Clay, can you please tell me the author's name? I'll check and see if our library has it.

I know how you feel about school. I just skimmed over learning about geomatry I think it was in school because why would I need it?!???? I want to be an author when I grow up so....

But the Silk road I had fun learning about that. I really enjoy history.

We don't get cookies every time, just once in a while, and I usaully don't eat them either, only when parents give permission like yours.

Flumen sounds like Flu men eh. means river

As we approach the elders, the oldest looking one there, a woman, smiles toothlessly at me and says, "Hello, Flumen."

"Your new name," explains Cherith to my confution. To the four Elders that were sheltered beneath the palm tree she said, "A refuge from Flameir."
The two men spat on the sand, while the youngest of the elders shook her head sadly.
"The fifth this year," she said. "And it's not even August yet."

"'Tis a shame," said the toothless woman who had given my name. "That they keep losing their people to us." She said it cheerfully, as if it wasn't a shame on her behalf.
"The burns," said Cherith, slightly impaitant.
"Ah yes," said one of the men in a rough voice. "Come forth, Flumen."

My heart gives a little jolt of excitement at my new name, and at the thought of forever riding my skin of burns and burns tunrned to scars.

I approach the man, and he somehow pickes up a bucket full of water with his weedy arms. Without warning, he dumps the contents on my head. Warm water seeps through my clothes and down my arms and legs, leaving a tickling sensation where my burns and scars where. When I looked at my arms, they were gone! I felt light and free, and new beginings were all that was ahead of me. I was Flumen, and I was a Water dweller.

The End.

We could take a break from stories for a little bit, or you could start a new one. I have no ideas currently. Also, have you read Fablehaven seires by Brandon Mull?

Bye!

:D thanks! I'm honestly surprised too, I didn't think this many people would want one. And I'm pretty bad at response time—It's been like 5 days since the last person asked for one, and I haven't even started (it doesn't take very long to write, but I have NO INSPIRATION AT ALL from this name—it's literally the name of someone I know at school, not something WITH FANTASTICAL POSSIBILITIES so aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh kill me now, or better yet generate ideas for me now).

It's by Laura Amy Schlitz. I think she's written other books too, although I haven't read any others.

History is pretty cool, so even if it won't ever matter again, it's fun to learn. It's cool you want to be an author when you grow up (or you already are one, which is cool too (: ). What's your 41-page (soooo impressive...) story about?

I don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Something outside, something that always changes. During science at school, I like the field work best (going out and measuring trees off trail = yay!) and I really hated the data stuff (putting tree data into a spread sheet and clicking buttons = yawn). If I could just do field work as a job it'd be awesome. Oh yeah, and an author on the side—if I was only an author I feel like I'd need to have ideas, therefore not have any ideas. Lovely how that works, huh. And then I've always wanted to be something crazy like an olympic soccer player (until I got a concussion, now it seems too high-pressure and dangerous) or an astronaut (although there is that small detail about a lot of them dying + can you imagine how terrifying that would be?). So. I have absolutely no idea what I'd like to be. What about you? You said author, but what genre? And would it be a side job, or your only job?

Cool name! Also nice ending—it resolves well. I'm good with taking a break from stories, I have no ideas...

Also yeah I've read Fablehaven. It's good. I like Warren. I've also read Dragonwatch, have you? I didn't like it as much but it's still pretty good.

Ohkay. This CAPCHA took me three tries. I can't be that tired yet, can I? It's only 2...

Ok, hi, I'm back. I have been gone for EONS did you miss me?

Anywho, I see that you wrote the written picture so know you don't need my help, and besides, I could not think of anything either.

Ok, I know this author. Thank you! She also wrote I book I own, Princess Cora and the Crocodile, which is for a younger age group, but it's still a good story.

So what I gathered is you like to be outside (I think) and you like to explore (?) I enjoy doing both quite a bit, but I don't care for science very much. Also, ouch, a conncussion, how?

My book is about a school for elements, Fire, Air, Water and Earth. The school is called Fawe Academy. The main character, Daisy, (me!) is training to become an EarthWarrior, and at the end of the year, she is going to set off with her freinds to save her dad, who had been missing for years. There will be lots of twists and turns, adventure and magic, along with strong friendships and betral. Thas about the jist of it, and I am (and always will be) writing fantasy, it is so much more easy to create something that has never existed, and to make it your very own without a whole lot of real life stuff in it. Or, at least, that's what I think. What about you? Do you have any ideas for a story, or have an idea of what genre you are mst comfertable with?

I really enjoyed Fablehaven, I just finished the last book. I really like Kendra, Newel and Doren, plus Bracken. Have you read the whole seires? I want to say more, but don't want to give stuff away if you haven't.... I haven't read the other seires yet, I will soon. I also think there is a seires by the same author, Beyonders? I will check that out too.

What other things do you like to do? Any type of art? Like the drawing/painting/coloring/sketching? I really like to paint with water color, its sooooo fun. I sometimes just paint without instructions, but sometimes I go on this sight called Let's Make Art, where there are vidoes you can watch and outlines you can print out. It's free, I believe.

Well, not much more to say here. Write back soon, Hex!

Salutations! Kind of random, but did you know that "aeon" is another accepted way to spell "eon?"

Yeah, I like outside + exploring, and science is okay (my school's campus is HUGE and we have trails so science basically means going outside to do experiments (: ). I got a concussion from playing soccer, I tripped over someone and hit my head on the ground... it wasn't too bad, just some headaches, but I missed a lot of practice + games ):

Your story sounds really cool. I'd be happy to read some parts if you want feedback. One thing is I'm curious as to what they fight? You said EarthWarrior so what are they training for? Are there monsters of some kind, or is it against other human groups (if they are humans)? How do they control the elements—to what degree? And ooh is there a fifth ~secret~ element of darkness or something? (monsters in the shadows *evil laugh*)

Also, your story reminds me slightly of A Deadly Education by Naomi Something-or-Other-I-Can't-Remember. Maybe slightly of Magisterium by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare, too. Have you read either? A Deadly Education is good, I'd reccommend it, but I didn't like Magisterium as much.

FANTASY ALL THE WAY it's so nice to make up whatever you want, and sometimes it's good to escape reality... I created a fantasy world with my friend, we call it The Land of the Weepuls (those are real things, look it up, they're kind of cute). I won't say too much about it because I don't have her permisison to share it, but we've written lots of stuff for it—guides to potions and schools (Angel University), along with stories (most incomplete) and even a choose-your-own-adventure (half-finished). I also started my own story a while ago, but I don't like it very much and it's only a few pages, about someone named Morrigan who has dawn-mirror-power-stuff and is trying to fight the darkness and find her parents etc.

Yeah, I've read all of Fablehaven. I like Newel and Doran too, they're really funny. Say more! I tried to start Beyonders a few years ago, I didn't like it that much. But that was a few years ago, and it wasn't bad or anything, maybe worth checking it out again?

I like drawing okay, mostly black and white sketchy stuff, but I'm not very good and I never like the end result. I doodle a lot on my math homework, but I don't think that counts... I like drawing dragons, although I can never get the claws right. I find it hard to just draw for fun, but if I'm in art class it's so much easier because I'm told what to draw and I don't spend ages trying to think of ideas (maybe that's why I default to dragons...).

I've probably asked this before, but do you have any pets? I have a dog, she's a black labradoodle and she's very very naughty (she steals things) and very, very, VERY cute (she loves to slobber kisses all over my face and her tail always wags when I say hi to her).

Hey!

I did not know you could do eons as aeons.

'you learn something new every day' ~ Some very boring person said that, I is thinking

Also, I LOVE the outdoors it is SO fun to explore and discover (Have you read Explorers Academy?)

They are called Warriors, um, because there is this rival school called Devil, and because they are protecters of the innocent. (OMG, that sounded cheesy) Basicly, they just fight whatever evil springs up.

Your imaganation sounds great and it sounds like it stretches far, which is good! Some people just can not stretch their mind beyond reality. Which usaully means that thoses are boring people, but not always!

So. Fablehaven. I think it is cool all the different creatures, and Braken is a unicorn Ahhhhhhhh so cool. And Brandon Mull is so ruthless! He just kills of his characters so easily. I mean, I geuss it's fine but still... Wish I was fairykind! That would be so awesome. I also started Amber and Clay and I am half way though it and so far, so really good! ;) Also, me and my friends have this kind of pact that we have to read the first four chapters of a new book before we deside wether or not we like it. Quick! Solemnly Swear! Anyhoooooooo.....

I do black and white drawing too, and yes, so fun to draw dragons!

Yes a dog, a mostly black Boxer/lab mix. He is getting on in years, but he is still playful!

So, thats about all see you later also what is you favorite movie and musical?

Yes, I feel like most quotes come from boring people. It's easier to make inspirational sayings then to actually do inspirational things... My favorite inspirational quote is "shoot for the moon because even if you miss you'll land among the stars" because I once saw a spin on that where after that it said "where you will be forced to drift aimlessly farther into the vast, empth abyss of space until a lack of food, water, and oxygen causes you to succumb to death's cold embrace. Sweet dreams, kid."

Yeah, I've read Explorer's Academy. It's okay—I feel like all the books are kind of repetitive, but the puzzle aspect is cool and it's overall pretty good.

Lol, it's not that cheesy. Fighting evil is what most fantasy books are built on, in my opinion, and that's okay as long as you have a cool method/reason of fighting it—which I think you do.

It is cool that Bracken is a unicorn—especially that he's pretty different from all the steryotipical unicorns who are all like "im so pretty and pure and look at my beautiful horn." I guess there isn't anything wrong with that, but it gets kind of tiresome... I think I'd rather be a shadow charmer than fairykind BUT both are really cool.

Huh. Four chapters. Sensible, but why four? Seems kind of random. And what if they're really long? Does the prologue count? lol, idk why I'm asking so many questions.

I don't watch many movies/musicals, my parents are really strict about screen time so that means no movies. As for musicals (wow I really want to spell it musicles, whyyyyy) the one I remember the most (that should mean I liked it the best, right?) is Annie, but I'm not really sure. I also did Aladdin for school last year, so that was fun. What about you?

And what's your irl appearance vs your cb appearance? (if you want to share, of course, fine if you're not comfortable)

ALSO I just finished Stellarlune this morning, YAY SOKEEFE FINALLYYYYYY the Great Foster Oblivion is OVER so HA IN YOUR FACE FITZ

submitted by Hex
(November 21, 2022 - 12:36 pm)

Yaaaay Sokeefe!!!!!!!!!! I was hoping and hoping and hoping and hoping that it would finally happen, I even had my Team Foster-Keefe will always be cooler bookmark for good luck when I read it. Fitzphie, blech no way Sokeefe is a whole lot more popular anyhoo, at least that is what I've seen.

also lol on that last quote, also, did you want to play geuss that quote? You just write down a quote, then tell what book it came from, and if they know who said it, then spill. (NO CHEATING AND LOOKING UP ONLINE WHO SAID IT) So yay let mui know

We, acually, I said four chapters because I read this book and it seemed boring but when I got to the fourth chapter, it got better. Even if they are looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong, yes we do the four chapters and the prolouge doesn't count we read it along with the four. I also made this up because one of my friends tended to give up on new books really quick, so I said OMG just read the first four and then decide.

I don't get a lot of screen time either, but at the same time yay that is cool you don't either. I am lucky if I get to watch three a month. My favorite musical was the sound of music, I is thinking, but I have never acually been in a musical (I get stage fright) But did you preform in the aladdin one your school did? Or did you just do the background sorta stuff?

I don't feel a that comfortable with tellin' my IRL apperance, but the difference is that I am shy, so I try not to be and I irl have long sun lightened light blown hair, whereas on the CB I have dark brown hair cut in a bob you?

Anyway bye and again I really enjoy doing this and THANK YOU for not flaking out!:))))))

Sure let's play guess the quote! (GtQ?) I love HP trivia (my bro and I did it a LOT), but I'm not great at other books. Do you want to start?

Four chapters is smart. I tend to get a bunch of books in front of me, read the first three chapters or so and get lost in a book until my dad comes over and is like "just come read that one then" so I start a different one, process repeat, until I finally have to go do something and end up not choosing a book (:

Yeah screen time... I apologise if I can't reply as well bc thanksgiving break and I have no homework so no excuse to be online... I'd like to watch the Sound of Music. For Aladdin I was onstage for most of the scenes, but I had a tiny part (shopkeeper) and only two lines at the very start. I did a lot of dancing. We all did. I can't dance lol.

Irl I'm not exactly shy, but I'm def introverted and like books more than people. People are so loud and idiotic generally. I'm tall and I have shoulder length curly/wavy medium brown hair (wahhhhhh stupid haircuttttt I used to have nice long hair WHY CAN'T IT GROW BACK grrr). On the cb I'm more "dangerous" I guess? Like for ski lodges I have knives.

Yeah it's cool to get to know you better, you're an interesting person and thx you too for not flaking out. BUT WE REALLY HAVE TO STOP GUESSING EACH OTHER IN EVERY SI...

Do you have an AE? I used to have two, but they kind of died (sorry guys) and I'm thinking of remaking better (sorry again guys) ones, but I'm not really sure where to start.

"Don't let the muggles get you down."

Yay HP quotes quick GtQ.

So that is fine that you won't be on here but the next time that I will be on here hopefully you will have wrote back so ya. Also, hope you had a nice thanksgiving!

Ski lodges.... can you please explain exactly what those are?

I know! We keep on guessing each other.... rar.

I don't have a AE i am still not 100% sure what they are. Explain please????

Sorry this is so short! Not sure what else to say and but what month is your birthday and what is your birthstone?

submitted by Hawkstar
(November 25, 2022 - 3:39 pm)

Ah. Um. Which book is it from within HP? lol you've already stumped me (:

Here's mine: “Once again, you show all the sensitivity of a blunt axe.” — HP again, the Half Blood Prince.

Yeah happy thanksgiving! Did you do anything to celebrate? My bro is home from college (although his college is like an hour or two away by car anyway) and we're watching Star Wars (never seen it before!!) and we made some squash-apple-cranberry dish thing I think we've made every year (when I say we, I mean my mom, as she did all the work while the rest of us shamelessly played Boggle).

Ski Lodges! It's kind of like a murder mystery solo write, where people post charries (usually themselves or AEs, not usually an OC) and then the writer, usually under a different name (like SIs, they are usually supposed to be guessed), posts a story where they get killed off one by one. The ones I've read are usually in a hotel-place-thing (the origional one was in a ski lodge) with some sort of host(s), but it can really be anything or anywhere. They're really fun to write!

AE is short for Alter Ego, and they are essentially OCs you have on the CB. I think they are supposed to represent flip "sides" of your personality, kind of like splitting up your personality traits and giving them faces and names (mine were Jinx and Nyx, but they were very undeveloped and pretty similar so I kind of gave them up *winces*). However, they really don't have to—you could be more like a family or sibilings. It's really just an OC people use a lot specifically on the CB (not that you can't use it elsewhere).

If anything isn't clear for both explanations, ask more questions. I'm pretty bad at explaining things (:

I'd rather not share my birthday, sorry.

What do you wear irl, normally (if you want to share ofc)? I pretty much always wear "boy" shorts and a random t-shirt, with a sweatshirt/jacket and sneakers. I have no sense of style—I wouldn't know fashion if it gave me a lollipop (although I'd certainly know the lollipop). Occasionally I wear sweats, but rarely. It doesn't snow or anything where I live, and I like the cold.

Hello so Ron said that in book #3. And um, Hermione? Is that who you quoted?
"But we're not stupid- we know we're called Gred and Forge." HP Book 1

Thanksgiving. We just had a slightly larger dinner than usual and that's about all. Cool, Star Wars! I have watched the original 4 5 6 and they were pretty good. Which did you watch? My dad and I made an apple pie together as well and Boggle! i love that game! Have you ever played Rummikub?

Thx for the explanations. They made perfect sense to me! I know now..

Irl I usually wear when hot, shorts and T-shirt and when cold, sweats and a sweater. When the weather isn't freezing (which to me, most of the winter and early fall I am ALWAYS cold so annoying) I go barefoot. If not mostly cozy boots.

Anyway I'll see you later!
Oops! I almost forgot. I want to try doing written pictures for people, but can I do yours for fun (and practice maybe if you agree and I write it you could show me a few things to make it better)

No, though good guess. It's

Nearly Headless Nick. Aaaah yours... it's in the boy's dorm on christmas... oh well, 50% chance... is it Fred?

"What'd you expect, turnips?" — HP book 1

Yeah, I love Boggle! I've never played Rummikub but I looked it up and it sounds interesting. Have you every played Bananagrams? I play it with my friends every day at recess.

Cool, I'd like a written picturing. I could try to give feedback although I don't know how helpful it would be lol. I'm better with grammar errors than plot help :)

What are you currently reading?

Oh well kind of short but I have to go~

Heylo! Nearly headless Nick, of course. It just seemed like something Hermione would say to Ron.
And no, acually. It's George. I don't know, Ron, maybe?

"There's no need to cal me 'sir', professor." HP#6

I have not played Bananagrams is it a game game or can you pay without supplies?

I have decided not to do written pictures. Instead, I am going to do Written Poems! (made it up, i think) So somebody just says thier name, and fromw that I'll write a poem! Heres your's:

A spell
And a
Curse
Or a
Jinx
But the best
Is a
Hex

Did I do good? Right know I am reading The Hobbit, the 2 Beyonders (try them again! I like it) and Wildwood imperium. You?

Also, I changed my location because 'is here right now' isn't that great, because when you finally read it I'm not here sooooo.

For yours, what about : Unkown or the darkness for a spell (lol i is clever) They both fit.
