Question of the

Chatterbox: Down to Earth

Question of the

Question of the Two Days

Every two days, I'll post a new get-to-know-you-ish question. I think it'll be cool to see what people think and maybe it'll help get people to know each other better (hence, me calling it a get-to-know-you-ish question).

Question of the Two Days #1:

What word, to you, sounds like a magical spell and what would that spell do?

My answer is 'solander.' I think it'd provide a warm lighted sphere that follows the spellcaster.

Ooh, I love this idea. My answer is Zanzibar. It would probably conjure up a magic carpet. :)

Chaser: Oooo! I love this idea... Hmm...

Jay: Ooo, I know mine!

Chaser: What, already? I'm still thinking! Hmmm...

Jay: It would be 'corvion,' and it would give the wielder bird wings of any bird they like. I would always choose a jay, obviously.

Chaser: *snorts* Obviously. Hmmmm...

Nobody:

Chaser: Hmmmmm...

Chaser: Hmmmmmm...

Still Nobody:

Chaser: Hmmmmmmm...

Jay: Augh, Chaser, could you stop going "hmm" already?!?! I'm trying to read!!

Chaser: Hmmmmmmmm...

Chaser: Ooo! I have it! The spell would be 'Hmm.' Upon use, the spellcaster could ask any one question, and it would be answered totally correctly. However, it requires a dragon's knucklebones present to invoke, and the knucklebones vanish to dust upon use. Also, each time the spellcaster uses the spell, they must add one more 'm' to the end.

Jay: You really do think of the weirdest things. The poor dragon's whose knucklebones will be stolen for this spell! Think of all the pain you will cause to innocent dragons, simply by making this spell!

We just realized that was a bit of a long comment. Sorry bout that! It looked smaller in the text box.

"syzygy" makes any object the magician looks at spontaneously erupt in blue flame.

Sounds like a curtain that sheilds you from the veiwers vision.

Yay! I wasn't sure if people would actually participate. I like the answer mauve especially—you're right, it sounds like a curtain.

Question of the Two Days #2: What is the favorite vegetable of the person that posted right before you? Just guess based on your impression of them. If you know nothing about them, oh well—guess anyway! (and maybe post your actual favorite vegetable after you've been guessed to tell everyone how wrong they've been?)

I'll guess after everyone else's gone so it doesn't mess up the space-time continuum (and so someone isn't guessed twice, but that's such a mundane reason).

Huh. I wouldn't have guessed. I do like yellow bell peppers, although I'm not sure what my favorite vegetable is.

You seem like a fennel kind of person.
