:D Hallo! How are you? I'm on a bus right now! I can't talk much today but I'll try to say more tomorrow!!

Hallooo! I'm doing rather well, I just got these really fun pronoun pins to cycle through so that's really fun. How do you let your friends/family know your preffered pronouns for that day (if you've come out to them that is)? I like always wanna just be upfront and tell them, but never really have the confidence for that.

I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like buses are honestly rather fun to be on. I don't really ever get like bus-sick (and I don't really get car-sick unless it's like a windy road) so it's really nice to be on my laptop because I don't have acsess to wifi, which limits my ability to procrasintate effectively because I'm not able to open websites that are commonly used to distract me. Since I have like a 1h 30m commute to school each day on a bus, I've gotten into the habit of doing work (most of the time actually 3d modeling) on the bus. What about you? What do you commonly like to do when you're on a bus?

Also, what are some of your most proud accomplishments when it comes to 3d modeling/printing?

-Marethyu (any pronouns)

Buses ARE so fun! I usually read or do CB. The nice thing with my phone is it can use data to access the internet. I generally don't like being on my laptop on the bus ride cause it gives me notifications every three seconds about how I don't have wifi :D.

As for 3d modeling, I'm learning Solidworks to use for an engineering-related job someday, so in my CAD class we don't often get to make whatever we want, but instead we're given assignments where they give us the dimensions of a part and we have to make it. It's both a little boring and strangely very fun. The thing is, the parts we have to make are all boring construction-related things like a plummer block, whatever that is. But it's always fun when you finish a difficult assignment.

For my pronouns, I actually found these cool puzzle-piece-like pins on Etsy that can fit together, so if I'm doing multiple pronouns that day I can snap multiple of them together! They're supposed to arrive tomorrow! What I used to use is a whole bunch of beanies. I have a giant beanie collection and I assigned a different one to each of the pronouns I use and wore the corresponding beanie on the corresponding day. But that got annoying because it made me really dandruffy to always be wearing a beanie, plus sometimes I just wanted to wear a specific beanie on a day I wasn't feeling that gender, so I abolished that and just used those little sticky nametags and wrote my pronouns on those, but then I ran out of them. So I ordered the pins! I can't wait for them to arrive :DDDD.

Do you have a lot of buttons or enamel pins, or just the ones for your pronouns? I love them! I have a huge collection of enamel pins!

- Scuttles! he/him today. :)

(March 1, 2023 - 11:15 am)

Oh cool! I'm also planning on doing some engineering job some day, but I'm not sure what yet. That class seems honestly a bit boring (sorry), probably because I like to have control over what I make and like constricint my creativity is something I'm strongly against. However, I do definetly agree it's really satisfying to finish something you've spent a lot of time on.

Those puzzle piece pins seem really cool! Etsy is always really helpful to get things like this, it's where I got my pronoun pins too. Your beanie method seemed cool, but I can see how that can get confusing for others to remember and how you'd want to wear them when you didn't feel like that gender.

Yessss! I love enamel pins so much! I've only got around 4 right now, but I'm trying to do something where I get one once a week so I can cover my computer case. I also really want to learn how to make enamel pins, but I know that's rather difficult.

What are some songs that you like/describe how you feel rn?

(March 1, 2023 - 4:05 pm)

Hehe, enamel pins are so great! I have an adult friend who makes enamel pins but it's difficult and I honestly think bought ones look better.

Hmm, as for songs, that's difficult. I dunno about songs that describe my mood right now (I'm in  a pretty good mood though), but as for songs I like, I listen to a little Imagine Dragons, a lot of AJR, and a lot of random songs that come up on the playlists Youtube Music makes. I like almost any music aside from classical music. I cannot abide classical music. What about you? What are your favorite songs and artists?

Also, what are some of your favorite books?

(March 2, 2023 - 9:31 am)

Ah yeah from what I've seen enamel pins are probably better when made by others, but I might try to learn what websites will allow me to like upload an image and get an enamel pin of it.

I love listening to AJR too! Imagine Dragons is also good, but I don't listen to it a lot anymore. Alec Benjamin is nice to listen to because most of their songs are rather quiet. I really like the song Strawberry Mentos by Leanna Firestone. It's really cute and pretty :D

I like most of the fantasy books by Sarah J. Maas, The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Famel(this is actually where my name is from) and Five kingdoms will hold a special place in my heart as childhood favorites. What about you?

What is your favorite color? Also, what do you like to do to destress?

(March 3, 2023 - 11:10 am)

First things first, sorry it took so long to reply. I have a difficult time getting online while school is out, so if I ever go silent on weekends just check back on monday.

:D I'll have to listen to those songs! I've never heard of them, but they seem cool!

Yesss all the fantasy books! I love Sarah J Maas! Also, I've read Five Kingdoms and most of the other books written by the same author (Brandon Mull). One of my favorites is called the Sunbearer Trials by Aiden Thomas (It contains some instances of swearing, so to anybody who happens to read this post, be aware of that :D). I also like the middle grade Wilderlore Series by Amanda Foody.

Hmm. For my favorite color, I like black, and orange, and blue, and green, and pink, and pretty much all of them. Black is definetely top of the list though. And to destress, I like to listen to music, read, and play video games. What about you?

Hi!

So sorry I haven't responded sooner, I wasn't able to get onto CB.

Sarah J. Maas is amazing! I've just started working on a cosplay project with my girlfriend, we're going to be Manon and Aelin from Throne of Glass. I've read a few other books by Brandon Mull too. The Sunbearer Trials seems good, I'll check it out. I'll probably check out the Wilderlore Series, thanks for the recommendations!

I like purple a lot, especially like midnight purple. I also love to listen to music, I used to read but haven't as much recently, and play video games a lot to destress. What are some video games you like?

Ahh, that's fine, happens to me sometimes too.

Sarah J Maas is amazing! I got about halfway through Throne of Glass but then my school canceled access to the online ebook thing they had been using for the students, and I haven't gotten around to checking the rest out from the library, so I haven't actually finished it, but... I loved it :D. Manon is the best character! Well, Abraxos is the best character, but Manon is almost as good.

You do cosplay? So do I! Cosplay is great! I love cosplay! Right now I'm working on a project with my friend for these moth-people costumes we designed (they were actually based on my CB-sona, hehe). Also, for your cosplay thing, you said you and your girlfriend are doing
Aelin and Manon. Are you going to be Aelin, or are you Manon?

For video games, I do some Minecraft, and also some Subnautica. I want to get Undertale, Hollow Knight, and one other game that I can't remember the name of, but my parents won't let me until I keep my room cleaner... :( What about you?

Aw not being able to read Throne of Glass anymore sucks :C Manon is amazing! I'm going to be cosplaying her. Abraxos is great, I think I might either 3d print a small version or make a stuffie out of him for my cosplay :D

Oooh your moth-people sound cool! If it would be ok, could you send a picture of the plans? I'm really curious on what they look like. No worries if you don't want to though

Holy cow, I love all of those games! Subnautica holds a special place in my heart, I remember playing it with my brother a lot and it was always super fun, have you checked out the sequel? Minecraft was also a childhood favorite, and I still like playing it from time to time. I've recently got Undertale and Hollow Knight, and I really like them. I really like hoiw Undertale has such a branching path system and reacts to all of your decisions and I think that Hollow Knight does an excellent job on creating a atmosphere that really immerses you in the game. I also can't wait for Silksong(if it ever comes out (; ). I've also recently gotten Celeste and have been enjoying playing it, but it definitely is frustrating from time to time. Hades is also pretty fun, it's also great at reacting to everything you do, probably even more than Undertale does. My favorite game of all time though definitely has to be Terraria, I've played it for over around 7 years, I can't recommend it more.

What's something recently that has made you genuinely happy?

(March 15, 2023 - 1:47 pm)

I'll send you a drawing when I get around to it. The drawings are saved on my other computer so I'll have to get on it after school sometime and send it to myself. Our main focus is the wings, we're trying to make cloaks-that-look-like-wings/wings-that-fold-like-a-cloak. My friend saw a drawing of somebodies concept art of something like that on reddit or whatever while they were googling 'moth people', and we thought it would be fun to try to make it irl. So the idea isn't entirely ours, but it's gonna be fun! :D

I don't have the sequel to Subnautica but I've played it a little at my friend's house. I want to get it, but again, gotta keep my room cleaner before my parents will let me get any more games. I've heard of Celeste, but never played it, sadly. Never heard of Hades, but I just googled it and it looks interesting.

Hmmm. Things that make me happy. One thing that made me happy was last night I had a dream about snakes. Snakes are great. Another thing that made me genuinely happy was getting a crossaint for breakfast this morning. And leftover pie. I definitely had too much sugar this morning. What 'bout you?

Also, question for you! Do you have any pets?

(March 16, 2023 - 8:46 am)

Huh I see, I think I get what you mean about the wings. I can't wait to see how they turn out, seems really cool! No worries about the drawings, you can send them whenever works best for you.

Ah I see, I usually like to blast some music and clean up my room personally, but also I don't do it too often. (: My parents are usually a lot less strict, and sorta unconventional in certain areas. For instance, I don't have any family meals. On one hand, it's a lot nicer to be able to choose when to have my meals, but since I have to make it most of the time, it's not too healthy, usually just like a bagel or toasted bread. They're also a lot more loose with video games, usually letting me get them, as long as it's not too often I ask for a game. As long as I'm productive during the day, they'll usually let me play a lot too which is nice.

Snakes are pretty great, and as a Slytherin, I feel a bit of a personal connection to them. What's your Harry Potter house? Crossaints are also very tasty, especially when they're warmed up. Somehting that's made me happy recently is probably hanging out with my girlfriend. :D

Sadly, I don't have any pets. My mom is alergic to most aninals with fur and my dad is alergic to dogs. I've had a fish once though, but it died. :C What about you?

Also,  what's your favorite beverage and why?

Ah, you're lucky. My parents make me finish my homework and get exercise and do a chore (just a small one tho) before I get on any games. Although once I do I usually get plenty of time.

I'm probably a Slytherin. For one thing, I'm obsessed with snakes, so I don't think I'd really enjoy being any other house, heh heh.

Crossaints are very tasty, and I agree that they're the most tasty when they're warm. Then the chocolate inside gets all nice and melty and warm.

I'd like a dog, but my parents are dragging their feet about getting one, even though they said we'd get one two years ago. I do have a corn snake, and his name is Fluffles, and he is the bestest cutest awesomest boi ever. He's very snuggly and sometimes wears hats or bandannas.

As for my favorite beverage... Hmm, that's a tricky one. I rather like Sprite, especially when mixed with lemonade. Coke is good, and so is Pepsi. But then again, I also like hot chocolate... What about you?
