Chatterbox: Down to Earth
Dear Chatterboxers (And any Mighty Admin who read this),
I am leaving the Chatterbox.
I am really sorry, but it’s just that I’m getting very busy. School is about to start, and I just can’t afford to spend as much time as I have been on the computer. I get on and I just have trouble stopping. I don’t spend as much time writing or reading as I would like to – the computer just sucks up my time. So I am cutting back, and that includes Chatterbox. I also want to work on my novel, too, and I haven’t been getting any of it done. So I am leaving. Temporarily, at least. I may come back someday, but I am not sure.
I really am sorry to be leaving, and I hope you will understand that I do want to stay, but I just can’t.
I want you all to know how much you mean to me. You have helped me a lot. In the weeks after the earthquake, especially, though you didn’t know at the time. That time was very rough for me, and you all made me laugh even when I didn’t feel like it at all. (I never did tell you in any detail about what happened, just because I did not want to talk about it. Just know that it was absolutely horrible, and that I had to leave the country and spend six months away from home, and that I was very lucky that none of my friends or family were hurt, and that our house, as well as the school, was completely undamaged.) You have introduced me to new books (Discworld especially – thank you, TNÖ! You can feel good knowing that you have helped to create an obsession. XD And helped to create an obsession in my friend B, with any luck. I’m still working on her. Told her that I would read Terry Brooks if she would read Terry Pratchett, but she remains unconvinced.) and to WriMos, and I am grateful for that. (Especially the WriMos! And I will still be there, if you find it necessary to contact me. Say, if you were dying of a terrible disease and the only cure was, um, jellybeans. Yeah...) You have helped me a lot with my writing. I have had lots of fun with all of you, and I will miss you.
Purple Pandas: You can decide amongst yourselves who will be leader of the Fun Project, who you think would be best. I don’t want to have to choose among you. But I’m sure that you’ll get on fine without me.
Anyone who wants them can take over my RP charries. That means Becca Merle and Sirius Black in the Maurauders HPRP, and Rose Weasley inthe next-gen. Rhi in the RP on Inkwell, and Sar on Temp’s RP, though I only posted as her once. Anyone who wants can grab, just treat them well and post regularly as them to avoid thread death.
Likewise the book review column in Ink Drops -- anyone can claim it.
Like I said, I really hope you understand. If things go well, if I manage to straighten everything out, I may be back, but don’t hold your breath. (I don’t want any deaths on my conscience!)
I really do love you all. You are some of the best friends I have ever had, and, whatever happens, I will never forget you.
Dai. (Good-bye, for those of you who aren’t obsessed with YW. And come to think of it, that’s probably all of you except maybe Ima.)

Oh, ZNZ!!!!! :'( We'll all miss you! I haven't even known you as long as most of the other people on CB, but you were so nice and friendly when I came back on after a really long time! You've come up with tons of funny threads and ideas! We won't forget about you, I really hope you manage to come back someday! We'll welcome you with open arms! :)

Thank you so much for telling us. And- to tell you the truth- I read your first sentence and froze. You were one of those people we could count on having around; one of those people that I thought would never just disappear. You were involved in so many things, and just made it all workout! I totally understand what you're going through, and, if you haven't noticed, I haven't been posting half as much as a year ago. So, do what you must do, but please do come back at least every once and a while. Thanks. :)

I totally understand, that's what's happening to me. I'm having to not be on nearly as much, and while I try to read most new threads just to see what's still going on over here at the CB, I just don't have time to reply to or read everything as I used to.
I'm glad we were able to help you (unknowingly!) after the earthquake; I'm sure that was a difficult time.
We will miss you, and never forget you!

I totally understand where you're coming from - the computer takes up a bunch of my life, too. I also don't get enough time to read and do other things I'd like. So don't worry about it. Yes, we'll all miss you, but we understand and respect your decision. ZNZ, you have really been influential on the Chatterbox and we appreciate all you've done. And we'll miss you terribly (though I've already said that).
I'm really glad to hear that you and your family were not affected too much by the earthquake - that must have been so hard, and I admire your strength. None of us would have suspected anything and we're so glad to have helped get you through it.
So, farewell for now, ZNZ. We hope to see you back someday, but for now, we hope your RL goes well. Thanks for the laughs and the happiness you've given us. The time we've spent with you was priceless, and I'm glad I was here when you were. See you on NaNo?

I'm very sorry you can't come on anymore. I know we'll all miss you; I certainly will. We really enjoyed hearing from you, and are very glad that we were able to help you in any way in the weeks after the earthquake. It was a bit of a shock to see this, partly because, not looking at how many comments were here, I'd thought it was Zombies vs Unicorns revived, and partly because, well, like R~D~ said, you weren't really someone we expected to leave, and your contributions were always so... Well, they were great contributions. Thank you very much for letting us know all of this; otherwise I'd be very worried. Please try to post if you ever find the opportunity, but I completely understand if you don't. People get busy sometimes, and no one can do everything at once. Maybe you'll be able to come back at some time in the future, and maybe you won't, but either way, I hope all goes well...
