NEW STORY THREAD!

Chatterbox: Inkwell

NEW STORY THREAD!

NEW STORY THREAD!

Okay, I know there's already a bunch in Inkwell right now, but I needed something new. The other ones are not moving or are too developed for me.

Here's my character: Nathaniel

Age: 13

Appearance: Normal looking by regualr standards, with plain brown hair and a gaunt look on his face.

Nathaniel was filled with a fiery rage. Why was it always HIM they decided was nothing special? He would show them! Nathaniel walked away from the building, not believing he had been rejected. It's not like EVERYONE can turn invisible! He filled out about fifteen applications, did one thousand pushups for them, and turn invisble. He couldn't believe they wouldn't let him into superhero school. Just because he couldn't fly.

Nathaniel didn't want to feel the rejection. He was not normal. He did not fit in with normal people. The truth that the people at Shane's Academy, also known as Superpoweed School, were telling him was that he didn't fit in with them either. He didn't fit in anywhere. He felt himslef unwittingly turn invisible and stalk down the road.

Don't feel afraid to use someone else's character or add something that doesn't really have anything to do with the plot!

Yeah, I like your idea, Legion I! And, no, if you know what's going on, it's never too late to join! I'll work it into my story....

Nathaniel, you're on~

Nathaniel was helping John. He still hadn't fully realised this in its entirety. There wasn't really anything he could do... or at least anything he could think of in the current moment. His head throbbed from the mind tricks John had played earlier.

"What if I don't help you?" Nathaniel challenged, because it was the best he could do.

"I do have other people whom I could use," John frowned. "They're ready, they're set. I don't need you to help me. Of course, if you don't, I can very easily make it impossible for you to see your friends or parents ever again."

"You were my friend," said Nathaniel hoarsly. That still stung--the feeling that John had betrayed them for his own reasons.

"Was I?" asked John. "Do I have any friends?" There was something in John's face, something distant that hadn't been touched for a long while.

BAM!!! Nathaniel heard a large noise from behind him, pressumably a door.

"Give it up," said a girl's voice. "We've got you cornered."

John's eyes widened. "You two were completely secure...!"

"Apparently not secure enough!" scoffed a boy's voice. "At least not secure against my powers!"

Cold shock hit John's face. "No..." he whispered. "This can't fall apart here! I'm so close!"

THUNK. A large rock appeared right over John's head and fell on him, knocking him out. "Oh yeah!" cried the girl.

These people... whoever they were, John hadn't taken away their powers. They had escaped. Nathaniel tried to cram his neck around to see them, but found it nearly impossible.

"Here." Nathaniel felt a little scorch around his wrists and the rope binding his hands fell off. He started to work on getting out of the chair.

"Thanks," he grinned, and turned around to see a girl and a boy, who looked pretty normal, except the girl's eyes kept changing colors and the boy's hand was smoking. He didn't recognise them from Shane's, and he felt like he would recognise most of the student body. "Did you guys go to Shane's?"

The girl laughed. "No, we actually live pretty far away from here."

"Our school does one of those 'After School Superpowers' things for us and two other kids," the boy said. "Not really anything like Shane's Academy."

"Oh," said Nathaniel. That made sense.

John moaned from on the floor. The girl frowned. "We should probably do something about him, before he wakes up."

Nathaniel nodded. "Probabaly."

Okay, that's all I have for now. Legion I, I gave Amber a friend. Because there's never enough characters. It's kind of long...

Could I go in, too? I've been wanting to go in for a while now, but don't have an idea of how I could come in. I was thinking of using Legion I's idea, coming from another school, but if that sounds like stealing ideas, that's okay, too.

Lena A, maybe you could be the boy (if you want) that came along with Amber.

I will write when possible, I need to finish catching up.. I was thinking that maybe they boy also had the power to go into books, and he took them to Storm and maybe convinced them to give the fiftenth element? I don't know, it sounds kind of shaky...

Cappie says wuea, then. The name of the boy? I'm not sure.

Sure, I'll be the boy. I'm all caught up with the thread, but I've desided to start when I think of a name for the boy. But, I'll only go in if it's okay with Theo...

It's totally fine by me!

I couldn't really write much since I wasn't sure what the boy's name was..

------------

The boy nodded,"Probably,"

I had no idea what I was doing there. In the one hour I was held captive, no one ever cared to tell me where I was or even why I was there; all I focused on was how to get myself out of that mess.

"Well, my name's Amber," I introduced myself.

" I'm Nathaniel," he said,"I turn invisible and I can fly."

Even though there were only four people in ASP, After School Powers, I could tell it was rare to do both.

I managed to summon a few ropes and shackles without tiring myself out, and I tied the ropes around my captor's hands using all the sailboat knots my father had taught me when he was still alive.

"Well, I duplicate, heal, and summon things." I added on,"It makes me tired though."

"I think that should be enough," he said, eying my captor, who now looked something among the lines of a brown mummy tethered to a chair. I cracked a smile, admiring my handiwork.

-----

Sorry it was kind of short..I need to work on showing, not telling...

I kind of wrote into a dead end :(

I wasn't sure what to write though, since I don't know the boy's name or what he does. Lena could you write the next part please? (Or post character info?)

Okay, this has just died! Theo, everyone, COME BACK! I'll just go ahead and write a likely rambly piece.

Brooke ~

I led the way out of the back alley, into the main street. Police sirens wailed in the distance, and thin plumes of smoke still drifted upward from Shanes.

"Where would John be holding Nathaniel?" Catherine asked, walking to keep pace with me.

"I'm not sure, but I have a suspicion," I answered. "Nathaniel's apartment."

"Do you know where he lives?" Catherine asked

"Yeah, long story," I answered smiling, thinking back to how I'd first met Nathaniel.

We continued down several more streets and back alleys, including fence hopping once or twice to save time. We now stood in front of the building. My stomach started churning with worry.

So now what? WHO WILL WRITE NEXT?!

Okay, Legion I, here's my carachter info:

Name: Leo Write

Age: 13

Appearance: Short brown hair, startling blue eyes, you can always see him with his green windbreaker on in any weather, whatsoever

Personality: He dosen't like to talk to people that much and his only friends are the people at the afterschool ( I'm sorry, Legion I, I forget what you called it!).

Power: We musn't forget his power! Leo can run as fast as light (which is really useful when you come to situaitons where you need someone to run like he can!) and he can also  go into books.

Is there anything I'm missing? If so, please tell me.

That's great, thanks!

I'm not sure if Theo meant it this way, but maybe he has some fire power, or maybe when he runs his hands can summon fire because he runs so fast? your choice.

Hmm... how about he runs so fast his hands catch fire (but only for a little bit of time), he's immune to fire and for some weird reason, running that fast dosen't lose his energy. Now, for the story:

Nathainel grinned."Thanks". I just smiled. Nathainel looked at me and said, "Who are you?"  I don't like to talk much, but needing to talk to someone I don't even know that well just overdid it. But, I forced myself to say, "I'm Leo Write, and my power is going into books, run as fast as light, and I'm immune to fire but I can't summon it." Nathainel looked a bit puzzled." But, I saw you break my bindings with fire," he said. "Oh, that. When I run, my hands catch on fire," I expiained. I found talking to this guy wasn't so bad. But, just then, the whole room began to shake. "We'd better get going," Amber said, like anyone would need to be told that.

Well, I put some excitement in there! Now it might be more easy to write.

Thanks! So maybe John can use his mind to control things? Like, say he makes the room shake, then controls the ropes so they untie themselves? Should I write next? Also, where has Theo been?
