Chatterbox: Inkwell

NEW STORY THREAD!

NEW STORY THREAD!

Okay, I know there's already a bunch in Inkwell right now, but I needed something new. The other ones are not moving or are too developed for me.

Here's my character: Nathaniel

Age: 13

Appearance: Normal looking by regualr standards, with plain brown hair and a gaunt look on his face.

Nathaniel was filled with a fiery rage. Why was it always HIM they decided was nothing special? He would show them! Nathaniel walked away from the building, not believing he had been rejected. It's not like EVERYONE can turn invisible! He filled out about fifteen applications, did one thousand pushups for them, and turn invisble. He couldn't believe they wouldn't let him into superhero school. Just because he couldn't fly.

Nathaniel didn't want to feel the rejection. He was not normal. He did not fit in with normal people. The truth that the people at Shane's Academy, also known as Superpoweed School, were telling him was that he didn't fit in with them either. He didn't fit in anywhere. He felt himslef unwittingly turn invisible and stalk down the road.

Don't feel afraid to use someone else's character or add something that doesn't really have anything to do with the plot!

I have NO idea. Brainstorm?

sooo

-it's John's doing.

-one of us is accidentally using their power

-one of us is a traitor/not real and is going to make everything explode (yay!)

-maybe everything is imagined by the upperworld, and things aren't stable (I was thinking the upperworld was like us, the writers, and we aren't writing a lot.)

Cappie says medd. Do I need medicine? Oh, you think I'm crazy, Cappie? Hm. Maybe I am.

And.... I just lost my post.

Oh well.

Anywho, this thread is back! Yay! And it's three hundred posts long. That's long.

Nathaniel, you're on.

...

Nathaniel woke up and rubbed his eyes. He blinked and rubbed them again. "Uh--" he said.

"Yep," said Brooke. "The room in glowing."

"And Leo, Storm, and Catherine are gone," added Amber.

"Are we... flying?" he inquired.

"Yes," Elexhiia said. "Somehow, the room is flying." The only way you could tell was that the little window was filled with the sky, and the room was shaking slightly.

"Flying...." Amber mused. "Did you say you could fly? Couldn't you fly out and see where we were?"

Nathaniel shook his head. "I can't."

"Can't? I thought you said your powers were flying!"

Nathaniel just shook his head. "Did I not use past tense? I meant to you past tense."

"Your powers WERE flying?! How does that even work?"

Nathaniel glanced over at Brooke, who was tugging at the door. "A lot of things have happened in the last few days."

Brooke nodded. "A lot. But it doesn't matter, not right now. The door won't open anyways."

"Not from the inside, it won't!" said a muffled voice from outside the door.

Instantly, they all knew who it was. John.

The door swung open, and John dropped in. "Hello," he said in a causual tone. "What a fine event going on here."

"How did yo get up here?" Nathaniel demanded. "Did you do this? Why is the room glowing? Where are we?"

John tutted. "So many questions! Unfortunatly, I don't have enough time to answer them, as this ship is about to crash onto the ground any second now."

"Ship?"

"What?!"

"CRASH?!?!"

"Ship. You're on a interdimensional ship that has three different insides. The small shed you have lived in for so long, Brooke, happens to be one of them. And now this interdimensional spaceship is about to crash."

How about that?

@Theo\Lexi: When you say a spaceship is about to crash, do you mean that the reason everyone's flying is because they're on the ship about to crash to the ground, or somthing else? I will post soon, I promise!

Umm.... well, the ship's about to crash. Onto the ground. I don't think that's the reason that the room is actually a spaceship that's actually about to crash, that should be something else.

I think he/she meant we're about to crash wherever the next writer so chooses! Fun fun.

Brooke ~

I stared at John, my face probably portraying my horror.

"My home, this tiny shack, is an interdimensional ship?"

John nodded simply.

"WHAT THE HECK?!" I shouted. "How the... Has it always been like that? Is this another one of your stupid illusions?! John, so help me, if you've messed the up the only home I've ever known, I swear I'll..."

"Hey, hey! I didn't do this. Intentionally."

John was very lucky at that moment for several things. One, that I no longer had my powers or else I probably turned into a panther and turned him inside out. Two, that the wind picked up, creating a very loud and high pitched whine so that he couldn't hear my death threats or swearing. Three, that Nathaniel was holding me back from just killing him with my bare hands. And four, that we crashed at that moment because I managed to loosen myself from Nathaniel's grasp.

In case you couldn't tell, I was mad.

We were now spinning and plummeting. I wasn't even sure if we had officially crashed yet. All I knew was I went flying, crashing into the wall. Then the real impact came. Everyone was pressed against the wall, objects flying, furniture sliding. Honestly, the real miracle is no one was curshed by the bed or table. But it must havebeen a harder impact then I first thought, because the next thing I knew, I was lying half slumped in the corner. My whole body hurt, my ankle and face especially. Everything was hazy, and the scent of blood filled my nose. My hand gently touched nose, and pain shot through my whole face. I pulled it back to find it covered in blood. Great, so I'd broken my nose. I glanced at my ankle to see it swelling, and a nasty black and blue.

Great, just great.

I looked around me. The shack was on a slant evidently, though I couldn't see anyone else. Bits of sky showed through the roof. The whole place was a mess. I fought down tears forming, and called out in a husky voice, "Who's alive?"

**********************************************************************

So I doubt anyone's dead, but just in case...

Ha! I laughed at that part... "Three, Nathaniel was holding him back from just killing him with my bare hands." Um, I'm not going to write much. Because other people should get a chance to write in their characters and I have to go soon. So, Nathaniel. You're on.

...

They crashed.

Nathaniel barely noticed. He was just trying to keep Brooke from killing John.

Why? he thought to himself. John's not even human.

John didn't get to comment, thank goodness, because it was at that very moment that the spinning interdimensional ship hit the ground.

Everything was disoriented, people pressed against walls, small household items flying everywhere. Once everything settled down in the rubble, Nathaniel found himself leaning against one of the walls, a large dresser blocking his way from seeing everyone else. His ankle stung. He frowned. It was trapped under the table. His head pounded loudly. Nothing made sense anymore.

"Who's alive?" someone called out, Nathaniel presumed Brooke.

"Me!" he yelled. Dust got caught up in his throat and he coughed. "Nathaniel," he added hoarsly.

Okay, so that's not much of an ending, but like I said. I wasn't going to write much.

Sorry, sorry. I just have no idea what you're doing with the plot and where we should go with it. It's just dragging on. We don't have any kind of goal whatsoever. Can we agree on some kind of plot idea?

Hmm, good point. I was kinda wondering that too. Well, I think we said that Giovanne wasn't dead (correct me if I'm wrong), so perhaps we should try to recenter it around that with HUNT and all? Perhaps we could incorporate the other superhero schools too. I dunno. Mind you I'm tired, so I'm prattling along. Theo?
