Fairytale RP!

Fairytale RP!

Fairytale RP!

So Tovah had once made something like this, and I miss it, so I'm going to recreate it. I was thinking that you could either do a twist on a classic fairytale hero or heroine, or make your own. They go to a private high school to learn to fight aliens.

I'm going to go with the same character I had before.

Name: Gretel Rose

Appearence; Chin-length golden hair that curves in on one side and
curves out on the other. Dark, sapphire-blue eyes, slightly pink cheeks,
pale, small, at 5 ft. Commonly wears long sleeve camo shirt with denim
capris and lace up hunting boots. Or jeans, black t-shirt with Slay Your Own Dragons and a sword
on fire, black hunting boots. Oftenwears a cap. Whether navy blue or
camo.

Personality; Strong, quiet, observant, hard core, ready to fight. Loyal, open, and cheerful around her friends.

Story; So, this is a Hansel and Gretel in the modern world. Southern
girl! Her parents ditched her in the backwoods of Tennessee, in the
Great Smokey Mountains. A hunter thought she and her brother game and
accidentally shot him. (Explains what happens to Hansel.)

Power; She has a strong sense of direction, can see in the dark. Also can channel people's feelings well. Knows what they're feeling.

Weapon: Anything she can throw or shoot, except long spears. She can
throw knives, shoot a gun or bow. Whatever she can get her hands on.

So what do ya'll think? Good or bad idea?

Ash~

"So, Ash," Alex said. "Let me explain to you how individual training works. And secrets or commonly known facts about your past, we know them. We have a detailed profile on every one of you and what you should be able to achieve and what you need to work on. The purpose of individual training is to help you with your needs." Alex grabbed a thin foil off the wall and tossed it to me. I caught it and looked at her, skeptical. Was this really what she though I needed to improve on? What my FILES said I needed to improve on?

"First, we'll be fencing. Whoever has their blade pointed at their opponents heart first wins." Alex grabbed a foil for herself. "Helmets are clusty," she added, "but you still need to protect your eyes." She equipped herself with a pair of goggles, and handed me some for myself. "Ready?" she asked. I nodded. "En Guarde, fence!" Alex shouted.

Alex lunged. I quickly dodged it, and knocked her blade aside with a parry. She frowned, and hit my foil out of the way before I could win her silly game. Quickly, almost as quickly as my blade was moving, she tossed something at me with her left hand. It hit me in the face. Paint.

"Ah!" I cried out. I couldn't see, the paint was covering my goggles. Is the real reason you told me to wear goggles, Alex, I wonder, is so that I wouldn't get paint in my eyes?

I could feel her blade getting ready to attack and bring our game to an end. I closed my eyes, behind the goggles. I couldn't let her win. I took a deep breath and parried her blade as she attempted to hit target area. She attempted a feint, which I intercepted. She kept trying, and I stopped thinking about it. I was fending her off without looking, but could I attack her without my eyes?

Advance. I stepped forward into a thrust lunge. Alex beat my blade aside, naturally. But I wouldn't give up. I had gone from defense to offense, and I wasn't going back.

Alex didn't seem to think so. She kept advancing, moving forapward and trying to push me back into defensive mode. She finnally realised how to use my sheer stubbornness to her advantage, as well as my weakness, not being able to see. I felt a little prick of the sword's tip against my chest.

"I win," Alex said.

I pulled the goggles off my face. She had raised her foil above the battle zone and pointed it downward as to win.

"You cheated!" I said. "You threw paint at me and then--"

Alex cut me off. "Would you have used your opponent's weaknesses to your advantage?" I opened my mouth to answer, but Alex had obviously not finished. "You WOULD. Any smart person would. It might seem harsh, but it's the way the world works. You've used weaknesses and points of advantage before, Ash. I know you have. So don't try to deny it."

I felt the urge to argue but I knew that she was right. "I know that. So what's the pint of throwing paint at me and cheating?"

Alex raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you guess? For the most part, you've always had the upper arm. You need to learn how to win even with a disadvantage. Class dismissed."

To keep this going.

Gretel ~

Ash and Alex entered back into the training room, Ash looking slightly shaken up.

"Right, score sheets," Alex said, reaching out to collect the papers. She sighed as she looked them over, then set them aside.

"Right. I'll individual train another one of you tomorrow. For now, we're going to group train. Time to practice weapondry. You all are going to train in pretty much every weapon known to man. You will also train in hand to hand combat. Ready?"

I don't think Alex would have cared whether we said we were ready or not, but it didn't matter. Alex decided to start out simple, handing each of us a slingshot. She demonstrated, nailing the target. Naturally, she made it look far easier than it was.

"Eh, Gretel, why don't you go first?" Alex said, scanning the group.

Typical, just typical.

"Sure," I said with little enthusiasm. I stepped up, placing the small, sliver ball into the slingshot. I raised it up, spinning it with the same rythm Alex had. After a few swings, I swung it forward with all my might. It hit will a dull thud at the edge of the target.

"Focus," Alex said. "Zero in on solely the center of the target. There is nothing else, but that bullseye. Nothing. Understand?"

I nodded, looking hard at the bullseye. I loaded my second ball, and swung again. This time, it hit closer.

"Better, next person," Alex said nodding.

Hey thought, should we learn how to fly, drive, etc as well?

Maybe use our powers, too? I'll write soon, but right now, am a bit busy.

*facepalm* YES! Absolutely! How could I forget that? Definitely learn to control our powers. Maybe that can be part of the individual training, then once we master it, we can using them together?

SUGGESTIONS PEOPLE!!!! Throw in seemingly meaningless random stuff, weird random stuff, EPIC RANDOM STUFF!!! That's what makes a great RP!

Well, I had this great idea....  But the RP moved on and I did not... The idea didn't even make much sense.....

Why are we fighting the aliens? We are fighting aliens, right? We should have a reason shouldn't we?

Aliens was what I said, but it doesn't have to be aliens. That was basically a general term for an enemy. My thoughts were just to have some reason to use our powers, etc. to make some big epic battle. But yes, we should have reason! Suggestions?

I was thinking maybe Gretel's parents could be the enemies. Perhaps they hire mercenaries?

P.S. The spambox says nuya. No and Yeah?

Ok, guys, I have some new characters!

Names: Steve, Charlie, Pip, and Meg.

Appearences: Steve is the eledest, bearing a black shotgun on a black belt around his waist. Charlie is the middle child, with a bow and arrows. Pip is the the smallest. Meg has brown hair, and wears a black dress with a bow-belt. Meg also has a leather backpack.

Story: Steve, Charlie, and Pip are the three blind mice, but in actuallity they only needed glasses. Meg is the daughter of the evil woman who cut off their tails, and she ran away from home after watching her mom make blood flow from her innocent friends.

Weaknesses: Meg's mind shifts into ruthless mode whenever she sees a bar of chocolate. The mice cannot work well with Ash, since he is a cat.

Meg has a dagger which she keeps in her dress pocket.

Then she and the mice do so well that they get put in Special Training with the others!

~ Meg and the mice ~

Meg Baker stumbled into Fairytale High. A small voice from inside her backpack said: "Meg, I smell cat."

"Hush, you worrywart! Big lot of help you are," she responded. She walked on towards the principal Edith Whipple's office. The memory floated through her head of how she had stolen her mother's money to pay for tuition. She felt a small pang of guilt, which she soon shook away, and continued into the office.

A woman with thick glasses sat behind the desk.

"Who are you?" Miss Edith asked as soon as Meg had shut the door.

"Margeret Baker, ma'am." Meg plopped into the chair the principal pointed to."I would like to enroll here. And I have some friends who also would." Meg took off her backpack, laid it on the desk, and out ran Steve, Charlie, and Pip.

~ Meg and the mice ~

Miss Edith did not seem at all alarmed. " The three blind mice are from a nursery rhyme, not a fairy tale, my dear Meg."

Meg nor the mice had thought of this. "Those are almost the same, aren't they? Besides, I'm a good shot, you'll want me here." said the proud Charlie, lifting up his bow.

After having seen a demonstration of his bow skills, Edith stated simply; "We may allow you here for a trial period." She looked in a file on her desk and then told Meg there was a dormitory next to a certain Gretel Rose that she could have. Meg left the room thinking That's strange, they usually ask more questions.

@ The Chocabookaholic: Aw, thanks! And I do mean it. Your idea is a really cool one!

Gretel ~

I stumbled my way back to my dorm, exhausted, hungry, and more than a little aggravated. This training was definitely harder than anything else we'd done, and Alex was driving us hard. I flung open the door to my room, staggered to the sofa, and threw myself onto it. I lay there, wondering what psychotic challenges Alex would have for us tomorrow, and getting the odd feeling something was odd. Suddenly I bolted up, and glanced toward the wall. The door which adjoined my room to the dorm next door stood slightly ajar.

Curiousity ravaged inside me, though a small, probably the only sane part of my mind warned me not to investigate. Naturally, curiousity won out.

I crept to the door, standing still and listening. I could hear movement inside, and a soft voice of a girl. I moved forward slightly, about to peek in, when the voice stopped. Suddenly the door flew open. I gave a shout, and stumbled backwards, tripping over my own feet, and landed sprawled on my back. I looked up into the face of a young girl, around my age, with brown hair and wore a black dress and a leather backpack.

"You must be Gretel," she said.

"You must be Gretel," I said, walking over to help the girl up.

"Uhhh....yeah. How do you know?" she asked, somewhat suspiciously.

I took a swift bow. "I am Meg Baker, and the principal told me your name when directing me to my dorm. I just enrolled here along with these two boys." Gretel was shown the mice.

Sorry it's so short! You can give me Gretel's reaction soon, I hope. Laughing

Ash~

I had told Alex I needed to use the restroom, and she told me not to come back, since training would be over in ten minutes.

I know that, I thought to myself. Why do you think I asked? I saw the schedule taped up in your room. I'm more cretiable than you think I am.

I pushed my thoughts aside and ran out of the training room. In truth, I didn't need to use the restroom, I needed to get out of there. Out of that gym, away from Alex, as far away as I could manage.....

I went to my dorm, and pulled a book of the shelf. ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FAIRYTALES AND THEIR PARALLELS, a large book, about the size of a dictionary. I filpped to the appendix. D. D. D. D. D. D! Do. Do. Do. Do. Do--

A sudden breeze flew into my open window. I sat up and stared out the window. Mice. I could smell them.

All I saw though was a girl with brown hair walking up to the school. No mice. Unless she could turn into a mouse...

It's a whole barnyard in here, I thought. Still, I felt nervous. Mice. I didn't want to hurt anybody, and I didn't want my cat instincts to get the better of me. The mouse, or mice, would most likely avoid me at any cost. I shrugged and looked back down at the encyclopedia. Fine with me.

But would I be? The wind blew in and out of my window again, confirming my suspicions. There were three of them. Maybe just mice on the school grounds, but . . .

The wind had blown the encylopedia to a new page. THREE BLIND MICE, the caption at the top read. "Not technically a fairy tale, but a nursery ryhme [see page 543 for more information], the three blind mice do in fact have parallels in the modern world. The mices' names are Steve, Charley and Pip. They are not as blind as that they simply need thick, thick glasses. They currently have no stated home, but are traveling companions with a girl named Meg." There was a picture of a girl with brown hair, holding three mice in her hands. I stared. This book really freaked me out. I was sure that was the girl I had seen walking to the school!

I looked out the window, but she had already arrived at the school, or at least left. I frowned and closed the encylopedia, putting it back onto the shelf, and lay down on my bed, pretending I didn't notice that Meg had the same last name as Lemon.
