Fairytale RP!

So Tovah had once made something like this, and I miss it, so I'm going to recreate it. I was thinking that you could either do a twist on a classic fairytale hero or heroine, or make your own. They go to a private high school to learn to fight aliens.

I'm going to go with the same character I had before.

Name: Gretel Rose

Appearence; Chin-length golden hair that curves in on one side and
curves out on the other. Dark, sapphire-blue eyes, slightly pink cheeks,
pale, small, at 5 ft. Commonly wears long sleeve camo shirt with denim
capris and lace up hunting boots. Or jeans, black t-shirt with Slay Your Own Dragons and a sword
on fire, black hunting boots. Oftenwears a cap. Whether navy blue or
camo.

Personality; Strong, quiet, observant, hard core, ready to fight. Loyal, open, and cheerful around her friends.

Story; So, this is a Hansel and Gretel in the modern world. Southern
girl! Her parents ditched her in the backwoods of Tennessee, in the
Great Smokey Mountains. A hunter thought she and her brother game and
accidentally shot him. (Explains what happens to Hansel.)

Power; She has a strong sense of direction, can see in the dark. Also can channel people's feelings well. Knows what they're feeling.

Weapon: Anything she can throw or shoot, except long spears. She can
throw knives, shoot a gun or bow. Whatever she can get her hands on.

So what do ya'll think? Good or bad idea?

Gretel ~

I continued running, unsure of exactly where the UFO thing was. It was a silent killer. I rush around another corner. I'm starting to run out of breath, and this thing is only a few yards away. Near collapsing, I barrel down another hall, near collapsing, and fall against a door. It happened to be partially open, and gave way against my weight. I sprawled out onto the floor, jumping up, and quickly shutting it. I spun around, surprised by the sight that met my eyes.

"What going on in here?" I demanded, forgetting the UFO.

"Nothing," Cindy and Jasmine said in unison, jumping out from under the bed. A monkey screeched from somewhere beneath. Jasmine looked at me in surprise, likely expecting Aladdin.

"What are you doing here?" she asked.

"Alex," I said, listening for the orb. "She's given us a... test. Some sort of stupid UFO, laser shooting thing."

"What?!" they gasped in unison.

"Come on, we can't stay here," I hissed, waving at them to be silent. "I've no doubt it'll find us."

I slowly opened the door, glancing either way. I slipped out, followed closely by Jasmine and Cindy.

"Stay alert," I said in a barely audible whisper. They nodded. My nerves were officially starting to fry. I normally didn't mind missions, but being stalked by a silent killer UFO made a person just a little jumpy.

Suddenly Cindy gave a yell, waving her hand. A small burn line shone on the side of her hand. The UFO, laser pointed and aimed, floated at the end of the hall.

"Hello?" said a gentle voice nearby. I spun to see a locker push open, and Meg emerged.

"Oh good," I sighed.

"Uh, GRETEL?!" Jasmine shouted. I turned, the orb was now speeding straight toward us.

"RUN!" I shouted. We screamed in unison, and ran as fast as we could; a dark, thin, burn mark just behind our heels.

I ran from the -- the whatever it was.

"What is this?!" I shouted to Gretel.

"A test from Alex," she yelled back, evidently forgetting that I was not "chosen."

"Who?!" I yelled, along with Meg. Better to be safe than sorry.

"Whoops!" I heard Gretel mutter under her breath. We kept running. I guess I wasn't paying attention to the path we were going on, because we were coming up to a T in the school halls. I looked behind us. Shouldn't have done that. The thing was advancing faster than ever.

"Right!" Gretel yelled. Suddenly, I saw through the walls. My X-ray vision only comes to me when I'm scared or when my good hearing can't detect it. Down the right hall, another thing was zooming towards us at top speed. Down the left, nothing. Odd, but I had no time. "No, left!" I yelled.

Gretel glared at me, "Right!"

"Do you trust me?" I asked.

"No." It was Jasmine this time. "You tried to steal Jerusalam!"

"Just go left!" I yelled. Not waiting for an answer, I turned and kept running.

By the time I thought I was a good distance away, I looked back to see who else had followed. Only the girl I didn't know. "Thanks," I told her.

"Your'e welcome," she said

"Why did you follow me?" I asked.

She shrugged. "I just knew you were telling the truth," she said. She stuck out her hand. "I'm Meg."

I accepted the hand. "Cindy--" Then our conversation was interrupted by Gretel and Jasmine running from the - now two - UFOs.

Tell me what you think!

Ash~

After I found out that Alex was the modern day owner of the tinderbox, I felt frozen in place.

I have to get out of here. I have to get away from this.

Yeah, right. Like being a cat will make it any better?

It was too late, though, for that reasonable part of my brain to arugue any further. I had already transformed into a cat.

I blinked a few times. This was always my least favorite part, the part where everything got offscale and I could barely tell where I was. I jumped off my chair and streched out my legs.

Footsteps. A bunch of them, running, two corridors down.

Well, I thought, why don't I check it out?

Because it probably has to do with Alex.

The strange thing was, now that I was a cat, I didn't feel afraid of her. I knew I should probably be even more terrified, but I wasn't a hopeless, insecure teenager anymore. I was the master cat in my true form.

With that thought, I snuck down the corridor to see what all the fuss was about.

I peered around the corner and saw a most confusing scene. Four girls, two of them being Gretel and Jasmine, the other two I didn't know, running frantically from two sterotypical UFO sort of things.

Dog.

Behind me.

I turned around, expecting to see a dog with eyes the size of dinner plates, but instead saw a dog with eyes the size of teacups in yet another UFO thing-y fly straight over me to the chaos filling the corridor.

"It's a test from Alex!" Gretel shouted.

We're all failing miserably, I thought.

No one had noticed me. No one had called animal control. I mean, as far as I though.

A tiny little arrow flew right past my ear. I glanced up furiously, and saw three little mice scurriying around on the floor. The one holding the bows and arrows was grinning smugly, even if he had not hit me.

The three blind mice.

Oh no.

~ Meg and the Mice ~

I rushed down the hall with the others as fast as I could, not even knowing what I was running from. The mice and I, however, soon learned that it was some sort of a bizzare test from someone named Alex. It seemed that this Alex was their trainer, but one of them, a girl named Cindy wearing a jean jacket, was as confused as I was. This made me feel not quite so alone, so I befriended her in my mind. Like all your friendships, a jeering voice inside my head said.

The girls ahead of me were having a disagreement about wether to go left or right. The others didn't seem to trust her. I rounded the corner with Cindy. I trusted her, so when she went left I followed.

"Thanks." she said when she noted that I'd followed her.

"You're welcome."

"Why did you follow me?" she asked.

"I just knew you were telling the truth," I said with a shrug. "I'm Meg"; and I stuck my hand out toward her.

"Cindy--" she answered. It was then that: 1) I realized that the mice were gone; and 2) Jasmine and Gretel ran toward us, followed by two floating balls. I didn't stop to ask what the balls were, I just ran, hoping that little Pip was O.K. He didn't have any weapons.

~Snow~

I was relaxing in my room when I heard the commotion outside. Curious, I  jumped up, and opened the door.

Gretel, Jasmine, and two new girls, who I hadn't met yet, rounded the corner. A cat, with three mice hot in pursuit followed them.  I did a double take. Mice with glasses?

"What's happening?" I asked, as the girls passed me.

"Test from Alex!" Gretel shouted. I bit back a groan.

Then, I saw it. Two large, floating UFO type things were coming after them.

"That's the test from - " I stopped short when the ball, attracted by my voice turned to me. I only just avoided from being hit by a lazor beam.

"Quick, inside!" I called. The four humans and the four animals dashed inside of my room, and I shut the door just in time. I heard the balls bounce off of the door, and smiled to myself. Test passed.

Or not. "I don't think that that will hold them off for long," Gretel said. "Alex won't just let us retreat.

I had to agree. "All right. So, what's the plan?" I turned to teh two girls that I didn't know. "My name's Snow. I don't believe I've met you before."

One of the girls stuck out her hand. "Cindy." she said.

The other smiled, shyly. "I'm Meg," she said. "And those," she gestured to the mice, "Are my mice."

Jasmine bit her lip. "No ttime for introductions, guys. I think that Alex plans to take the door down."

I whirled around. Yup. A faint red line was being traced around my door.

"Wonderful," I sighed. "Well, there's a window. But how do we stop this thing?"
