Frank suddenly felt a pain in his arm. He looked at it. It was a syringe with a few drops of facultanium in it. Now everybody had some of that stuff in them.

Draco was just disappearing into the woods after Layla and Aveleen, he noticed Frank.

"Frank! Are you ok?" Draco asked as he ran over to Frank. "That's a pretty big syringe."

"Yeah, I'm fine," Frank replied. But he wasn't. How much facultanium was in that dose? Frank started seeing stars. Everything went black as Frank dropped to the ground at Draco's feet.

"Frank!" she gasped, running over. That was a big facultanium dose. Also, Frank was pretty big. All four of them couldn't carry him safely...... oh wait. Layla! Scorion!

"Layla!" she half yelled, half whispered, "Frank needs a lift!"

Layla immediately transformed and ran over to Frank. She nuzzled her head under him, and with the help of Draco and Aveleen, got Frank onto her back. Frank was groaning a little as they dashed after Edna. Frank started to slip from time to time, so Draco had to make sure he didn't fall off, and smash his head into the ground. Enda suddenly came into a clearing.

" Stop!" Edna croaked, lifting up a hand. Everybody stopped as they watched Enda. She stomped on something in the ground, and a largish hole appeared in the ground.

" Everybody in! There's a slide that goes downwards, so you won't just suddenly drop. Go!" Enda instructed. Layla followed after Aveleen. She couldn't see the slide, so she took a chance.

" Sorry Frank," Layla muttered, as she leaped into the large gap in the ground. She felt herself fall for only three seconds, when she suddenly smashed into what felt like the ground, yet she kept rolling down. The slide! Frank was no longer on her back, and as she tumbled quite painfully on the slide, then getting somehow thrown back a little up then back down onto the slide, she managed to see Frank tumbling in the same manner. At last, Layla managed to slide her claws out, as she slid down the rest of the way. She finally came to the edge of the slide. She sighed in relief, but her ears flicked backwards detecting something.

" Wooo!"

Draco suddenly smashed into Layla's side.

" OO! That's gonna hurt," Layla groaned.

Aveleen laughed and circled back around. She called, m"c'mon" as she skidded into further darkness. She felt Edna right ahead.

Frank had a dream.

In it, he was in a city full of many people. Frank recognizd this as his hometown. He was walking down his own street, when he bumped into somebody. The person looked down at him.

"Tell Edna, Frank," she said.

"Tell her what? And who are you?" Frank asked.

"Both those questions have the same answer," she continued, "Julia Harrison."

Layla got up and muttered something about Draco being fat. She scented the air for Frank, bounded towards him through the darkness. Draco followed her for helping get Frank back on her back.

" C'mon Franky. Let's go," Layla nudged her head under him again, and Draco pulled him onto her back. Layla followed Draco as he lit a light so they could see better.

" C'mon children! You better hurry up!" Edna yelled so they could hear her.

I hope she knows what she's doing.

Frank woke up on something furry. Layla's back. He fell off and landed on that hard ground, then sat up.

"Well, Frank's awake," Layla said. Frank yanked the syringe out of his arm.

" Those robots must've stuck this thing in me when we were at the house," Frank said.

"While you were out, Edna found this--" Aveleen started, but Frank cut her off.

"Where is Edna?" Frank demanded.

"Ummm, further down the tunnel. Why?" Aveleen questioned. Frank didn't answer. He was too busy speeding down the tunnel towards the woman who might just explain his dream.

When everyone had finally landed in a heap at the bottom of the slide floor, bruised and battered, Edna came over and helped them all up. "Oh dear," she clucked. "What a state you all are in. Come, we must sit down. I have something very important to tell you."

Edna snapped her fingers and a dim light illuminated the underground chamber, revealing a fireplace, a bed and several chairs. Edna helped everyone carry the still unconscious Frank over to the bed and carefully lower him into it. Then, Edna gestured for Draco, Aveleen and Layla to sit down in the chairs.

"So, what did you want to tell us?" Aveleen asked when everyone was seated.

"I'm afraid it doesn't concern you or Frank very much, Aveleen," Edna replied. "It is more about Draco and Layla."

Draco's ears perked up. This might be intresting.

"Now Draco," Edna began, "in case you haven't figured it out all ready, I am your aunt." Draco nodded.

"What I'm about to tell you," Edna continued, "is something concerning the scorion king. Draco and Layla, try to remember. Was there any time in your childhood when you raised a baby animal?"

Draco closed his eyes and wracked his brains. Suddenly, an image came into his mind. It was of him finding an egg and hatching it, along with TES and Layla.

"I remember!" Layla cried. "It was an egg that was all alone! We raised it, and it hatched into an ugly little animal!"

"It ran away one day, too," Draco added, nodding. "I was happy to see it go."

"Well children," said Edna sadly, "I'm afraid that the creature would one day grow to be the scorion king.

Draco and Layla gasped. "You mean--"

"Yes. You two raised the scorion king."

Layla's heart beat fast as Edna told them the news. Finding an egg outside of TEA when getting a break from testing, and helping it hatch. Layla remembered its dull orange colors.

The colors of a baby scorion. Layla swallowed.

" How did it become so big? And I mean, it can't be unstoppable. There's gotta be a chink in it," Layla said, wondering how big the scorion king really was.

" What do you mean 'chink'?" Aveleen asked, looking confused.

" Scorions aren't invincible. Normal scorions don't have fast healing like I do, or a cocoon if a wound is really bad. There's gotta be weakness in the scorion king. If we find that we can beat it. Scorions are a afraid of fire, but they get used to it pretty fast, and don't get scared very easily after being exposed to it multiple times. Plus, male scorions love to talk about themselves. And if there's a weakness, there's a story on how it got its weakness."

"It's like a dragon," said Aveleen. Draco looked over, offended.

"No, it's vain. It's power hungry. Like Smaug from the Hobbit," she corrected herself.

" Ya, exactly like that. They really like to talk about themselves, especially if they're a high rank. The second-in-command scorions of tribes love to boast about their rank. If we can get him to talk, we can make an explosive attack," Layla explained, a plan forming in her brain.

"You should talk to him." said Aveleen.

"The scorion king is dangerous, though" said Frank, looking worriedly at Layla.

"That's a risk we have to take."

"Alrighty then! Let's head out at dawn!" said Edna.

Frank had sat up during the explanation of the scorion king, and didn't want to interuppt until it was over. Aveleen, Draco and Layla were walking away towards their beds to get a good rest before the headed out, when Frank decided to tell Edna.

"Edna, Julia Harrison," Frank said.

"Hmm?" Edna asked.

"Do you know that person?" Frank asked.

"Yes, I think we were childhood friends or something. But you should get some rest. You don't want to fall asleep while fighting the scorion king," said Edna, heading for the door. Frank jumped out of bed and stopped her.

"Who was she?" Frank asked.

"Frank, you have a wound on your arm! Get back in bed!" Edna ordered. But when she checked his syringe wound, it was gone. "Healing too? I guess you have fast everything..."

"Who was she?!" Frank demanded. By now, Frank's yelling had woken everybody up.

"Frank, she is your mother. A great mechanic. She can make time machines. Would you like to meet her?" Edna asked.

Frank frowned. "My mother is dead."

At the crack of dawn, Edna woke everyone up. Frank was in the bed, Draco and Aveleen had fallen asleep in the chairs, and Layla was curled up in front of the fireplace like a cat. No one took Edna's orders to wake up very lightly, and Draco ended up accidently searing her hand.

"Whoops," said Draco.

"Oh, it's nothing," assured Edna. "I'll just put some cold water on it. Now, up, up, up everyone! Today is a very important day!"

Draco took a moment to think about yesterday's events. The candle, the teleporting box, the chase in the TEA building. That had all happened in just one day? And now, they were going to face the scorion king...

When everyone was awake, Edna scuttled around her underground hideout, gathering supplies for the trek. She distributed among the four of them 40 cans of food, a tent, 5 gallons of water, a lighter, a cell phone, a GPS and a bow and arrows. Then, she brought one more thing out. A small, folded up piece of plastic.

"What is that?" Draco asked.

"This," Edna replied, "Is a hovercraft. Unfold it, and viola! Transportation to the scorion king in South America!"

"Why can't we just use Frank's super speed to get there?" Aveleen inquired.

"I'm afraid that will draw too much attention," answered Edna. "The only way to quickly and safely get to South America." Frank's face fell. "Oh, don't look so disappointed, Frank!" Edna laughed. "You can drive it! Now lets go outside and test it out."

Edna led everyone up a spiral staircase that emerged above ground right in front of the mansion. Or at least what was left of the mansion. The building had burned down, and broken robots littered the ground. It looked like there had been a war.

"Sorry about your house," Draco said quietly.

"It's fine," Edna said flatly, although she did look crestfallen. "What matters now is that you guys get going. Frank, unfold the hovercraft."

Frank tossed the piece of plastic into the air. It unfolded and unfolded again as it plummeted towards the earth. When it hit the ground, it was a high-tech looking vehicle.

Frank scrambled onto the hovercraft and took the wheel, while Draco, Layla and Aveleen loaded the supplies on before boarding it themselves. Draco looked uncertainly back at Edna. "Aren't you coming, Aunt Edna?"

The old woman shook her head. "I'm afraid I have work to do at TEA, and at the moment, a mansion to rebuild. But feel free to contact me anytime you like!"

Everyone waved goodbye to the woman as she disappeared back into the underground room. Then, Frank started the hovercraft. It floated off the ground, and whizzed off into the sunrise.

Layla shut her eyes as the hovercraft took off. She could sense a powerful force up ahead, and not only was it the most powerfulest thing she could feel, it was the most dangerous thing as well. A voice sounded in Layla's mind.

I know where you are headed. I will find you... I always do.

Layla swallowed. Ember was going to find her, and this time, she'll be sandwiched in between the scorion king, and an old companion, who both probably want to kill her. Layla decided to look out the window.

" Frank, how much longer until we get there?" Layla asked, not looking away towards Frank.

" Uh, about an hour at this rate," Frank answered. Layla said thanks and closed her eyes again. What they will be facing might be the last thing they face. It might also be the last thing the world has ever faced.
