Chatterbox: Inkwell

Hey everybugy! I'm writing a story called 'The Otherlander.' it's going to be about a boy and one (or two) of his friends go to another world/dimension. This world has it all, wizards, dragons, goblins, the whole deal. I would like you to write me your ideas and/or characters and words for my story. Here's the sheet if you want to make up a character: Name; species (centaur, human, etc.), weapons, abilities (magic powers? expert craftsman?), personality, and background. For an idea, here's the preface of my story. I hope you like it!

It was night. The only light source coming from the bright,
blue moon from above. The two cloaked men had been trying to only travel in the
day time, because the forest was most dangerous at night, the reason being most
of the predators were nocturnal. One of the two figures paused a moment. He
pulled down the hood that shrouded his face.

“Master, don’t you think we should encamp
here for the night?” he said. The other, taller figure also pulled of his face
covering.

“No, we need to continue on. We are close to
Al Frae. We must get there as soon as possible. But Marre, if you need to rest,
we can stop. For a minute.”

“No, no. I can hold out.” Being an old dwarf,
poor Marre had much smaller legs than his master and friend, the wizard Borell.
The two trudged on.

“Master, forgive me, but why are why are we
going to Al Frae of all places?” It was indeed a good question. Borell had told
Marre (at the start of their journey) only that they must hurry off to the city
of Al Frae, one of the biggest, most successful capitols in all the land. He
had said that he needed to go there to help, but nothing more.

“Good question. Do you remember Olan?”

“The innkeeper? Of course, but, why must we
go to see him?” Just then a thought crept into his mind like a bad memory or
dream. “The prophecy- that’s it isn’t it? The prophecy is getting ready to be
fulfilled?”

Borell’s face darkened. “Yes, friend. The two
children from the Otherland are getting ready to arrive. I must make final
preparations with Olan. He and I have long been planning what must be done when
the prophecy occurs. When Loki and his minions rise back to his full power, we
must be ready to fight them.” A shudder ran through his companion’s body.

“The prophecy is going to happen sooner than
we thought. Do you think the children will be able to stop the Dark Lord? I
mean, the oldest one was, what, thirteen years of age?”

“I do not know. But they will not be alone,
they will have help.”

“Help, sir? Us, of course, but will that be
enough?”

“Oh, they will have more help than that,
Marre.” Maree looked at his master, puzzled.

“But I thought only two Otherlanders were
going to arrive? Will there be more coming?” Borell’s eyes twinkled.

“Who said anything about there being just
Otherlanders fighting the Dark Lord? Oh, no. They will have more help than just
that. You’ll see,” and with that, the two figures disappeared into the night.

Hi, Will T.! I don't think I've sen you on the CB before. In that case, welcome! It's a very intriguiging start. It sounds like a prologue.
