"Tell us your most embarrassing secret," I say, looking at Rianna. I had a different dare in mind, but, Bri's word is law, so... DODODODODODODEDEDODEDE "Nice ringtone," Rianna comments, relieved that we're focusing on something other than the dare. Kat blushes. "I have to take this call you guys, it's my mom." Kat answers the phone. "Hello?" Bri, Rianna and I lean in towards her, tyring to hear her mom, and at the same time scrunching Kat against the wall and making her explode in a fit of stifled giggles.

Will finish later, GTG to bed!

"Kat, Katie came over, she wanted to talk to you. Should I put her on?"

Riana, who was sitting nearest to me and could therefore hear the best announces to the others, "Katie came over to Kat's house! She's there right now!"

"Did you invite her over?" Riana asks.

"No!" I say quickly, cupping my hand over the phone so mom can't hear me. "I wouldn't miss a slumber party for anything!"

"Let me talk to Katie," Bri says, her eyes glinting.

I smile at Gramps as he rolls his eyes. "How much paint do you need?"

"Oh, for what I have planned...a lot," I respond.

"Well..." He says as I put a bucket of glow-in-the-dark paint. "Wait...glow stuff too?"

"You do realize I am paying for all this, right?"

"Exactly," I grin and load up the cart with another can of paint. This one magenta.

Even though we're straining to hear the other side of the conversation, we can only hear Kat. "Hello?....Oh, Ok....Wait, why her?.....Yeah, we were, but a lot of stuff happened at school and....What?!? Without asking me???.....Oh, ok, fine....Wensday. Right. Got it. I have to go now, bye." Kat hangs up. "What did your mom want?" I ask. "Yeah, we want the deets," Rianna chimes in. "Who says deets?" Kat asks. It kinda seems like she's trying to change the subject, but it can't be. "Who cares, just tell us what she said!" Brielle orders. "Well, um, she said that, um she made plans on Wednesday with, um, someone from school." I narrow my eyes. "Is it Kari?" I ask. Bri always tells us not to get involved with unpopular girls, plus Kari and I don't really get along... I remember in elementary school we would fight for the title of Kat's best friend. I guess I am kinda jealous of her... "No, no, it's not Kari. It's... someone you wouldn't know." Kat blushes, and I can tell she feels uncomftarable talking about it. "Oooh! Is is a guy? Is he cute?!?" Rianna squeals. Bri and I look at each other and start giggling uncontrollably. Kat rolls her eyes. "No, you guys! It's not a guy. Now, can we please go back to playing truth or dare?"

I walk into my house and plop my new plain white backpack on the floor. Well, not plain and white for long... "Willow!" my mom calls. Her brown hair is in a ponytail, and she's wearing a gray, worn out paint-splattered apron. I definitely know where I got my artistic abilities from. That apron was white when she got it, but now it's gray from use. It looks like she painted her hands instead of her canvas! I sigh. "I'll grab the pizza. Bacon or pepperoni?" "Pepperoni," she replies. "But that's not why I came in here." I walk over to her with a slice of pepperoni pizza and hold it in front of her mouth. She takes a biet out if it in midair. "Mmmffmwednemmmfffomingmmmfvermfff." I give my mom a look. "Don't talk with your mouth full." She chews a little more and then swallows. "I invited Kat for a playdate, she's coming over on Wednesday. "WHAT?!?" I practically yell. "You don't even know the stuff that's been happening at school!! We're practically at war with each other!!!" Mom gives me a concerned look. "I thought you two were friends." "We were, but now things have changed!" I take some deep breaths. Maybe this is a good thing. Maybe I could truce with her. "Whatever, mom. I'll go... clean my room." I stomp up the stairs.

Brielle is coming home from the hospital, and I'm going to ask her to the prom/dance thingy. The only problem is, I actually have no idea how to dance. But, no sweat. I'll learn. There are plenty of videos on YouTube that can teach you how to dance, I'll just watch a bunch of those... once I find out what kind of dancing they do at middle school prom/dances.

I stand in Kat's house, eating some of her cookies she made. "Uh...hello? Is this Kat?" I ask on the phone.

"Hi, this is Katie...right?" A familiar, but definitely not Kat's voice, responds.

"Uh yes..where is Kat?"

"This is Brianna." I restrain a gasp and almost drop the phone. "I'd like to thank you for the lovely card you made for me. It was beautiful."

She is thanking me? "Uh, your welcom."

"And I realized how stupid I have been. So, I'd like to propose a truce. You can come to my house on Saturday evening."

Everything is a whirl by this point. The cookies suddenly seem bland. "Uh... On one condition. That me, And the arty girls, along with the smart girls can all come. You see, we have a truce with them."

Ooh, it's back on? Yay!

Coming back from Subway, I ponder over what Katie told me. Get to know my siblings...? Belle seems all right, sensible, although she does seem like the kind of person who will treat me like I'm younger than I am. May is just a very cute, silly six-year-old.... maybe if I watched Frozen with her? Kids that age are all about Frozen.

I'm jolted from my thoughts as Katie's grandfather's truck pulls up in front of our new house (um, mansion). Katie hops out and starts unloading the truck.

"Um, Katie?" I ask, raising my eyebrows as she starts unloading quite the variety of paints. "What exactly do you have planned?" I flip over a can labled Glo-In-The-Dark. "Because I wasn't planning to have my room glowing." She just laughs. I take that as a bad sign. Maybe I can pursuade her to use only the blue...?

While I'd been gone, Mom and Dad set up my new room. Kneeling on my chair by the window, I peer out at the street below. Erin and that other girl, Katie, I think, are in an intense discussion about a large vat of paint. Boy, I hope Katie isn't planning on doing up my room.

Bedtime, I'll finish sometime tomorrow!

I thought it was Saturday evening. Anyway.

"This is Brielle." Bri flips on speakerphone. "I'd like to thank you for the lovely card you made for me. It was beautiful," she says, grinning deviliciously at the rest of us.

"Uh, your welcome," Katie replies, sounding shocked.

"And I realized how stupid I have been. So, I'd like to propose a truce. You can come to my house later tonight," Bri adds, her eyes glimmering dangerously. (it's still in the limo just after school, remember?) I bite my lip surreptiously wishing Katie would see through the ruse.

"Uh... On one condition. That me, and the arty girls, along with the smart girls can all come. You see, we have a truce with them," comes Katie's voice.

It never occured to me that there might be feuds between other groups besides ours and the general public. But I suppose there must be such feuds. It might be interesting meeting the arty group, and the smart group too although Bri would likely be quite cruel to the both groups.

"Uh..." Bri stammers for a second then quickly regains her composure. "Oh, of course. Tonight. Starting at five." She gave them her address and hung up.

Kat checked her watch. 3:06. That wasn't much time. Did Bri honestly expect them to be all ready so soon?

"Back to Truth or Dare," Bri said, turning to Rianna.
