Harvest Guardians

Harvest Guardians RP

As you might guess, this is indeed the first RP I have ever made, so forgive me if I do something wrong. I got the idea for this while husking some corn yesterday. I was all like, "Why don't I do an RP on harvests?" Yeah, I know, it's a wierd way to get an idea. But ideas come from everywhere, don't they? I don't have a full plot yet, but I'm working on it. I'll post it after a few people join.

RULES~

~(VERY IMPORTANT!!) If you can't stick to this RP and post at least once a week, don't join. I hate it when people make/join an RP then forget about it the next day. I want this RP to finish, so please, please only join if you're going to be dedicated to your part.

~ONE charrie per person. Sorry, but it's easier.

~Ideal amount of charries would be 6, but 8 is max.

~Enjoy!!

Ha! First clause out of context is true.

Sorry, I'm just reading the RP. It looks cool, but idk if I would want to be in it.

Maizie~
I tossed my straw sunhat onto the yellow-green summer grass. It was late afternoon, and the children were done working for the day. Mia, my best friend, and I were sprawled on the grass, talking about everything and nothing at all. "Do you think," Mia asked, "that the crops dying could be caused by insects?"  "I don't think so," I replied, "because the men dug down around the roots, and found nothing but soil and roots." Recently, all the crops had begun to die out. This was utterly unexplainable, as it was nearing time for the grand summertime harvest. The farmers had searched around, yet nothing could be found. This was an enourmous problem, because our food and lives depended on the crops. We were farmer families, and this plantation thrived on us."May! May!" My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of running feet. I sat up, and Mia shrank back. Mia was a very shy girl, and I was pretty much the only person she talked to. As the running came closer, I saw that it was April, June and  the other children. They all had worried expressions on their faces. "May," June began, "The whole east acre...it's dead."

Noah~

I run my fingers through my hair. How? The whole east acre is dead! And just like that??!? "Pa..."

"I don't know son....I don't know...," Pa whispers. June, my sister, clutches his arm and doesn't say a word, she just stares at the dead crops, befuddled. And I don't blame her.

May and....Mia? come running to the field, I can hear them gasp from halfway across the field. They slowly work their way toward us, taking it all in. "How?" May asks.

Pa shakes his head, "No idea, hon." He calls all the girls hon for some reason. I look at Mia and realize she was staring at me. I look into her large eyes, fascinated with their color, and then she looks down. Strange girl she is... I look back to Pa and we chat on about ways it could have happened. None making sense.

June~

All I can do is stare. All of our hard work, just wasted. I look at Noah. "What could have done this?" He just shakes his head. "I don't know." He may be just a year older than me, but we are super close, like friends. "I don't know." I wander over to the carrots I had planted early in the spring. They were perfect, emphasis on *were*. Now they are dried up. I mourn for my carrots silently.
