Chatterbox: Inkwell

Ugh, what am

Ugh, what am I going to do! I have no ideas about stories, (it's never happend to me before,) it's really terrible, I love writing! If you have an idea you would like to share, tell me (PLEASE)!

Someone else asked once and I wrote out this list of things you can do, then I copied and pasted it into all the other writer's block threads. SOOO unoriginal... :( Anyway, I can't find it now, so I will just say:

1. Be patient. If you rush it, you'll just get more panicky. Calm down, go on the Chatterbox, or something like that.

2. Read your favorite books/stories. Sometimes this can inspire you to write your own, and it's not copying if you really make the story your own, using something else as the foundation. Beware, though -- if it's REALLY good, it can cause dips in self-esteem.

3. Google 'writing prompts' or something like that. Again, it's not cheating to use these.

And just so you know, I'm with you here! I'm having a mild case of writer's block too.

I don't know if you're still around or not, but if you are, you can see Dustfingerfan's Story Ideas thread.
