If they go and fight the dogs Moonshadow and I will have to get the herbs ready. I've only been an apprentice for 2 moons! (I think that is 2 weeks.) I hope they agree to the rouge's plan. But when they jump they may break their bones.

As I walk back from the Gathering with Mudstripe, he starts being his usual cocky self. "So," he begins, with a mischevious air, "since when do you speak at Gatherings?" 

I say, "I'm really scared of these dogs. I'm beyond scared. I'm TERRIFIED. These are murderous, vicious creatures who kill cats for fun! I think we need to fight them! What if the wolves had killed Goldkit? What would we do?" 

Mudstripe looks at me, his big amber eyes suddenly filled with sadness. "I don't know," he says quietly. 

"I'm sorry," I begin, not wanting to be the reason for a fight between us. "I just think- I think that LightningClan needs to defend ourselves from the wolves. It's not just for the safety of our family, but for the whole clan. If LightningClan, no BOTH of the clans, are going to survive throught this, then we have to come up with something." 

Mudstripe nods, his face an expression of grim determindness. "Yes," he says, "we can do this."

Mudstripe~ (i'm gonna begin his post with the two cats back at camp)

I pick throught the fresh-kill pile, trying to find something that hadn't been picked over, left on top to bake in the sun, or clawed to death. Finally, I find a couple of decent looking mice. I toss one over to Leafmist, who is sitting over near the nursery, watching Goldkit play with the other kits. She looks at me gratefully, then tears into it like that mouse is her last meal. I go sit next to her. Goldkit wanders over and asks for a bit of the mouse. "No, no silly," Leafmist chides him gently, "you're not old enough to eat fresh prey. You might choke." Goldkit puts on a pouty face, then continues his game. Leafmist laughs, then looks at me, her eyes both happy and sad. "We HAVE to do something," she whispers. "I can't lose either of you." She leans her head on my shoulder and closes her eyes. "We will. I promise," I whisper back.

Hi! I'm back. I'm saying what Moonshadow says, except I'm posting now. I was doing NaNoWriMo last month, and I won! But I have to make the post Scylla has been asking me about... Sorry about that, Scylla! Now, to business.

"Silver, are you willing to join this Clan, and adopt all traditions of it?" "Yes." "Mercury, are you willing to do the same?" "Yes." "Titanium, will you do the same?" "Yes." Silver said (I'm guessing that I'm right in saying all that, Scylla? If not, please notify me and I will wright a new post.) I say "Silver, Mercury, I hereby declare that you are Warriors of Sunclan. Your Warrior names are, from now on, Silverpelt and Mercurytail. I trust that you serve your Clan well for the rest of your life." I turn to Titanium. "Titanium, the path ahead of you is one of an apprentice. Your apprentice name is Titaniumpaw. Your mentor will be..." I trail off. Is there anyone who is available to be his mentor? Titaniumpaw looks up at me expectantly. Then suddenly, it hits me. Of course there is another Warrior available! I hurry on with the ceremony. "Myself. I will pass on everything that I have learned to you, and I will see that you become a brave and skillful Warrior who is as loyal to the Warrior code as he is to his own Clan." Mercurytail and Silverpelt's eyes are shining with pride, and Titaniumpaw's eyes are shining with happiness. As they descend from the Highrock, all of Sunclan is shouting "Mercurytail! Silverpelt! Titaniumpaw!" Over and over again. They look embarrassed, and they keep licking their chests. I smile to myself, proud to be the leader of Sunclan.

Moonshadow~

We are home at camp at last. It's been a long day. I walk over to the fresh kill pile and pick out a scraggly looking mouse. Owlpaw bounds up to me, her eyes brimming with excitement. "Hi Moonshadow! Don't you think Shadowfire's idea was awesome?" I nod, too exhausted from my long journey to answer. I've been looking for for catmint for a long time. Finally, after wondering for a long time, I have found some. Finally. We will be prepared for whitecough this year. "Owlpaw, how was everybody while I was gone? I am sorry that I had to leave you alone, but this was urgent" Owlpaw nods understandingly. "It's OK Moonshadow, there were no real emergencies. I had to give this some dock too mudstripe for his scratched up pause, but other than that everything was fine." I shake my head in amazement. Owlpaw is still young, yet she knows so much about herbs and remedies. Thank Starclan that I have such a talented apprentice. I walk in to the medicine den to see how Ripplepaw is doing. She stares up at me with clear eyes, looking strong and healthy. Owlpaw must have been making her do her exercises. I think that is it time that she was put back to apprentice duties. Ripplepaw will be ecstatic. "Shadowfur", I call across the clearing, "I think that it's time you took back your apprentice......."

I'm so excited! I'm back to apprentice duty! This is so great. Soon Sandstar will give me my warrior name, and then everything will be back to normal. Or at least that's what I keep telling myself. The incident with the wolves has scarred me, but I know that I'll get over it. I am going to become a warrior and do everything in my power to make sure that the cats that I care about are safe. I want to be leader someday. Those wolves had better watch out.........

Here's that to be continued that I promised so long ago on Thornkit, Fawnkit, and Doekit's meeting with Leaf. Sorry I've held it off for so long!

Leaf ~

I give a mrrow of amusement, hearing Fawnkit, Doekit, and Thornkit having this not- so- whispered conversation. I say "Thornkit, I still don't understand why you are called Thornkit instead of Thorn. Or why your littermates' names are Fawnkit and Doekit instead of Fawn and For. That's what you would ask be called in my Group. That's what we call our- as you say it - Clan." I add hastily, seeing that they all have confused looks on their faces.

Oh no! I've got to eat dinner now. I will finish this either later or tomorrow. Sorry!!!!!

Wow, all the commotion! Not just in the nursery- all through camp! The dogs are actually wolves! I'm having second thoughts about fighting now... with my kits... They'll be lovely warriors, I know it! And Tanglekit has grown so big... and Oakkit is a perfect planner. Vinekit will make a great queen one day, too.

I wish I could help out. It doesn't feel right, sitting about while the clan worries and works. The kits are old enough to be left for a while... Maybe I could go hunt. I haul myself up, careful not to disturb my sleeping kittens. I whisper to Leafmist watch them for a while, and I pad out into the clearing. Chaos greets me. Warriors hustle to and fro, leaving dusty skid marks on the ground. The fresh-kill pile is slightly empty, however, which reassures me that I won't get yelled at for hunting. In the cool shade of the forest, I realize how lucky I am to have this clan. Everyone helps; no one is left behind.

I smell prey. Peeking around a tree, I see a pheasant scratching in the leaves. Aha! I creep up behind it, hoping to scare it into the tangle of vines. They're almost invisible in the glare of the sun. Yowling, I leap for its back. This startles it, forcing it to fly straight into the vines. Tangled in the vines that curl around an oak tree... light flares in my eyes. Visions dash around, crashing and knocking into each other until they're just a blur. I feel myself falling towards the ground... NO I WILL NOT LET MYSELF FAINT AGAIN! I shake my head, grab my pheasant, and make a beeline for camp. Should I tell Moonshadow about the vision? Maybe it was just my imagination. No, I'll tell her. She is the medicine cat, after all.
