~For any of you who were in the Robots Vs. Magicians RP, this will be based off of that futuristic world, except it will mostly focus on magicians. The plot: magicians have always been looked upon as different and dangerous (think X-men), especially since a group called the Shadow Spreaders have been doing their best to wreak havoc on the whole world. Anti-magician orginizations have formed as a result of the dangerous activities of the Shadow Spreaders. They are intent on limiting the powers of magicians and separating them from the lives of "normal" people. This takes place in a futuristinc world with new and brilliant technology and thriving, bustling cities. In this world, magic seems wrong and out of place, and yet magicians still live.
Will you plot to destroy the world of humans so that magicians can live in peace as a Shadow Spreader? Will you work hard for magician rights while secretly protecting your own identity for fear of being shunned? Will you take action against the Shadow Spreaders and rise in a new age of heroes? Or will you encourage the banning of magician activities as you try to protect your world?
In a nation of conflicts, new threats are rising. The Shadow Spreaders are growing stronger...

Name: Lunar Ecplise/Airi
Age: 20
Appearance: Pale skin, dark, long hair, black eyes.
Personality: Ambitious, full of power, keeps to herself, condescending, keen and sharp-witted. Airi's graceful ways and silk-smooth composure contrast starkly with her cold and controlling ways.
Power: Airi has two powers; control over moonlight and telepathic abilities. After learning how to combine these two, she came up with a new and terrible power. She can only use her power at night.
Stance on Magician Rights: Airi is of the opinion that magicians should be the dominant group of humans on the earth, and will do whatever it takes for that to happen.
Groups Associated With: LEADER OF SHADOW SPREADERS. I called it, peeps.
Weapon: Her abilities.
Backstory: Airi was born in Japan, but during World War III (yo, it's the future), her family sent her and her older siblings to America to stay safe during the war. Gradually, Airi's war torn family began to fall appart. Airi attended college at a renowned school known for its excellent robotics and technology-centered core at an early age (she was 16 1/2). After two years, she fell in love and hoped to get married to Tom Black, but her hopes were dashed after a terrible accident in the computer lab at her college. That awful night, Tom and Airi were watching a lunar eclipse take place in the sky. After the explosion (which I will write more on later), Airi's life would never be the same. She became a magician. Over the next few months, grief and her new powers transformed her into something darker and full of shadows.

Name: Ivory Welsh
Age: 14
Appearance: Pale; washed out, like an old photograph coated in dust. Pale turquoise eyes. Platinum hair.
Personality: Quiet, melancholy. Very intelligent. Almost never speaks.
Power (if magician): Ice and water.
Stance on magician rights: Wishes they were given them.
Group associated with: Anti-magicians, though she wishes she wasn't
Weapon (if Shadow Spreader or hero): Her powers.
Backstory: Her father is the leader of the Anti-Magicians. He was horrified and disgusted when he learned of her powers and locked her up in the house. She practiced in secret. No one knows that Cole Welsh has a daughter, and it is his darkest secret.
Other: Wants her father dead.

Name: Lai Endony aka Sunrise
Age: 12
Appearance: Medium length brown hair, cobalt eyes, small, skinny, and average 7th grader looking.
Personality: She can be uncertainly shy with people she doesn't know, but with friends she has the utmost confidence.
Power: Can deflect a spell easily, her specialty is playing with light, bending it, shaping it, shining it, etc.
Stance on Magician Rights: Thinks that magicians should remain hidden away and that their top priority should be to protect others
Group associated with: Dawn Granters
Weapon (if Shadow Spreader or hero): Light
Backstory: Her parents are top shadow spreaders and she lived with them happily, but when the dawn granters broke down their house, they took Lai and taught her their ways. Her past can still affect her and she often thinks of her parents
Other: Chrissy Raymond, an apprentice, will stop at nothing to get at Lai because she wants to get revenge on Lai's parents for killing her brother

Name: Gail Alieta
Age: 18
Appearance: Nervous, shy, but passionate. Hates confict, and worries a lot. Kind. Wants to do something but is too scared to. Awkward but stilll friendly, and a bit naive.
Personality: Slightly wavy hair in a pixie cut. Large bangs that cover her left eye. shadows under her dark brown eyes.
Power: Ironically, she can control shadows and become shadows, as well as turn people into shadows if she concentrates long enough. She puts the people she turns into shadows into her techy container thingys. (Is this too much like controlling moonlight? If so, just change it all to controlling light.)
Stance on Magician Rights: Being a magician herself, she wants magician equality. However, she hates the Shadow Spreaders and wants them gone.
Group: Is part of the group fighting shadow spreaders. Isn't very liked and is thought of as suspiscious due to being a magician.
Weapon:Abilities, as well as techy containers that allow her to store the people turned into shadows, as well as store shadows in case she is ever in a place with lots of light.
Backstory: I'lll come up with it later

Name: Lucea Epsum
Age: 15
Appearence: Unusually pale skin, platinum almost white blinds hair that goes a bit past her shoulders. Big blue-grey eyes with small sprays of freckles on her cheekbones. About 5"7, and slim. She usually wears a blue hoodie and black pants with black laced boots.
Personality: An accident when she was 14 caused her to be deaf, but she can still deadbolt lips and talk. Ever since then, she's shut out the world around her and won't respond to anyone anymore. Her mentality is that if she can't hear, then she doesn't need to talk. No one has heard her talk since she was 14.
Power: She can create a flooding light that can blind people, but the light also seems to be able to take a solid form, so she can push it towards people so it throws them back. Sometimes, at night, she accidentally floods her entire room with light.
Stance on Magician Rights: She just wants people to accept her for who she is, regular, deaf, or a magician.
Groups Associated With: N/A
Weapon: her light, though she doesn't have to defend herself often.
Backstory: Right after WWIII, people were all over the place and chaotic, so when her sister was driving her down the road, a crazy person crashed into them, causing them to roll down a hill. Her sister died, and she was severely injured. It turned out that her eardrums had bursted. It also turned out that when the energy engine leaked energy onto her while she was unconscious in the car, she had abilities to bend light and make it solid matter. From the on she has concealed it and hopes to find others like her.

If so, here are my two...
Name: Quinton
Age: 14
Appearance: Long, long black hair in a braid, night blue magician robes (do they wear robes?), bright blue eyes, tall, skinny.
Personality: Very quiet, calm, but constantly haunted by his very powerful, dangerous magic.
Power (if magician): Very, very good at combat. Was combat champion at his school three years in a row.
Stance on magician rights: Thinks all magicians and non-magicians should live together and not fight. Hates the idea of fighting someone who may be not as powerful as him.
Group associated with: Magicians.
Weapon (if Shadow Spreader or hero): His longsword, named Remington after his brother.
Backstory: Grew up in an all-magician village, but Shadow Spreaders attacked, and took his brother Remington away, leaving Quinton alone and homeless.
Other: Is constantly on the hunt for Remington.
Name: Remington
Age: 25
Appearance: Dusty brown hair, pitch-black eyes, a black suit. Scar over his right eye.
Personality: Very serious, beileves in killing and destroying anything for his cause.
Power (if magician): Since he used to be a magician, he has the power to destroy things. This is why the Shadow Spreaders took him.
Stance on magician rights: Hates magicians, even though he was one.
Group associated with: Shadow Spreaders
Weapon (if Shadow Spreader or hero): None really.
Backstory: He was taken away from his village by the Shadow Spreaders, who made him their soldier. He now goes anywhere he can, destroying things.
Other: Has a brother named Quinton.

Name: Sarah Kaczka
Age: 13
Appearance: Long, curly red hair, bright green eyes
Personality: Very intelligent, stubborn, loyal, and brave
Power: She can control the elements of the periodic table, but at a high price to herself
Stance on magician rights: She thinks that all magicians should have equal rights, even the Shadow spreaders
Groups Associated with: Shadow Spreaders
Weapon: Her wits and agility, as well as her power
Backstory:When WWIII broke out, she decided to help the U.S. create atomic weapons, because even at the young age of 9, she loved the elements. One day, in a "lab acccident" she was somehow not hurt, but some of the energy absorbed into her. She got back to her house, and found that it was burned to the ground, and both of her parents dead. She ws very, very angry and wanted to avenge their deaths, so she joined the Shadow Spreaders.

My powers are: Can create illusions and a substance like liquid glass are my powers.

I'm going to make another side charrie b/c I feel like we need a guy. I'll run over to see Queen Elizabeth after school so we can discuss plot ideas. Keep in mind that we're magicians, not mutants or superbeings. Our powers harness forces through true magic that we gained from different situations or were born with.
Name: Zephyr/Rai Tal
Age: 16
Appearance: Everything about Rai looks wild, wind-blown and stormy. His hair is dark brown, always unruly, and somehow always in his eyes, which are also deep brown. Rai is tall and would be good-looking if not for the wild look in his eyes that makes people take a step back when meeting him.
Personality: Fiery temper, impulsive, keeps to himself most of the time. Rai is one of those people who, at times, are either really brave or really stupid.
Power (if magician): The power to summon and control the winds.
Stance on magician rights: Magicians should be respected, but not to the point of fear.
Group associated with: Here's where it get's compicated. Rai is a double agent. He is a member of the Shadow Spreaders, but secretly passes on information to "good magicians" (Dawn Granters?) at great risk to his life. Inwardly, he struggles to decide what he truly believes.
Weapon (if Shadow Spreader or hero): Mostly, Rai uses his powers, but in emergancies he uses tiny containers he has zapped with power about the size of a penny. The force inside these can generate some pretty cool explosions.
Backstory: Rai was born with his powers but they didn't really develope until he was 13. A few years later, he became known as Zephyr, a magician who used his powers for both good and bad things. Met Gail Alieta (Danie's charrie) while trying to stop some Shadow Spreaders from destroying an important robotics lab (is that okay?). Gail revealed she was working against the Shadow Spreaders with an underground group of heroes, and Rai agreed to join their quest for balance. He rose to the challenge of becoming a double agent and played the part so well that some still wonder which side he's really on. Unbeknownst to them, Rai struggles with the same question...
Other: Rai hides his identity. To everone, even his parents and siblings, Rai is just completely normal. People may know Zephyr, and they may know Rai, but they do not know both of them.
Can Rai and Gail work together occasionally?
I'll try to start this tonight. Like I said earlier, QE and I have to discuss plot ideas...

Name: Acteon Kilai
Age: 14
Appearance: Dark, longish hair, dark eyes, and long legs which enable him to run fast. He often wears a red hoodie, dark blue jeans, and boots.
Personality: Actually, Acteon is really quite genial and carefree(ish). He enjoys adventure, so chasing magicians is something he likes and is good at. He is not super noticable, and is often used as a decoy while others run after the "bad guys".
Power: Is not a magician
Stance on Magician Rights: Everyone he was raised around told him that magicians were dangerous and alien. He believed them. Acteon has never really thought about why, he just trusts that the people who told him magicians are a danger to society were right.
Groups Associated With: Magician Chasers, the police, who happen to be against magicians.
Weapon: Has a belt under his hoodie equipped with a small gun, and a communication device. He has a dagger hidden in his left boot.
Backstory: His father was sent to jail for stealing (which he was not falsely accused of) when Acteon was eight, and his mother dissapeared when Acteon was three. The Magician chasers took him in, and he was raised by the police, who use him as a reporter.
Other: Acteon has no memory of his father, which bothers him, because he shouldn't have forgotten him in six years.

I'm going to tell Airi's story in two parts. Italics will be from her past and regular type will be present. QE and I were discussing World War III. "It's probably going to happen, you know," she said. That's a scary thought. We haven't figured out the logistics yet, but Japan and America were allies. I'm not sure who was fighting who. Feel free to make that up in flashbacks, etc.

I press my face into my mother's soft, dark hair, trying to drown out the wailing of the sirens. I force myself not to cry as she pulls back my hair and whispers encouraging words into my ear. Her face is warm against my forehead. Next to me, Emiko shamelessly sobs, her head on her knees; her back to the concrete wall seperating us from the coming destruction. All I can think is why? Why? Why? Why?
Lunar Eclipse~
When I was 12 I saw my country get ripped apart by war. I saw the only life I had ever known crumple around me. Now, the world is going to pay for their blind prejudice. Tonight, the Shadow Spreaders are making a larger attack than ever before, and hopefull the first of many escalating attacks for the sake of freedom and respect. Moonlight filters through the open window as I cover myself in shadows (one of her minor abilities), transforming from Airi Sasaki into Lunar Eclipse. It's funny how closely related light and shadows actually are. There cannot be one without the other. outside, The bright city skyline is etched across the ebony sky like chalk on a blackboard.
Suddenly, a cold, swooping feeling inside that starts at my head and fades at my feet alerts me that two people who I have telepathing connections to are within my range. Good, Sarah and Zephyr will be here any moment. It's time to put my plan into action. The "Magician Chasers" shall suffer tonight.

@Brookeira: Err... Well, that would be romantic, but he's only 14. And, he isn't like a guard or anything, he's more of a reporter. I'll think about it. I'm not very good at writing love stories. :P
