Chatterbox: Inkwell

Well this seems like as good a
place as any to get nostalgic. 

Procrastination in finishing my
novel has led me on a desperate search for old RPs I once created and was a
part of. In its heyday Harry Potter fan site The Leaky Cauldron was a place
ripe for creating RP groups with ideas that had no limits. Those days are long
gone, something I knew, and yet my searching for some semblance of the groups
that once were has led me here. A place that, like The Leaky Cauldron, was not
created for Role Playing and yet, as writers are wont to do when they gather in
groups, a subculture of sorts was created and you all began to create stories
together.

It’s
a bittersweet feeling, especially when the moment comes where you start
recognizing and appreciating the names of your collaborators without a need for
faces, and eventually you all start going your separate ways.

Appreciate
it. You won’t know how much it has affected your life until it’s no longer a part
of it.
