Chatterbox: Inkwell

I came up with a random story idea. . . If anyone wants to make it into an actual story, they can!

She stood at the edge of the cliff, looking over.  The river raged, seemingly miles below her.  She looked up.  

At the other side of the river, another person was looking up at her.  He was barely large enough for her to see his face.  But, regardless of the distance between them, their eyes met, if only just for a second. 

She quickly looked to her left and right.  She was alone at the top of the cliff.  Then she looked down again, first at the boy and then at the river.  She raised her hands so they were over the river.  She closed her eyes and imagined the water at the bottom of the cliff.  It rose up, swirling in the air to reach her.  She opened her eyes.

Then she took a deep breath and stepped onto the water.
