Eratrea dashed through the sleeping city, her wild red hair flying around her in the wind. She could hear the hunters behind her, sweeping through the city in pursuit of the girls secrets. Eratrea new the dark history of the Midnight City just as well as any other person, but you would never guess that she was so deeply involved. When the Four Founders of the lands had joined forces and created the nine cities, all focused around the Midnight City, they had accepted help from Ertrea's father, one of the greatest wizards in the Four Lands. He cast a spell across the city to protect it, but something went wrong. The city was plunged into an eternal darkness that can only be ceased by the Jewel. And that's where Eratrea comes in. After her father was executed by the high council, the Jewel had come into her possession. However, the girl was not to fast to join forces with the very people who killed her father. The Jewel contained a secret, you see. The key to destroy the city- and the key to save it from darkness once and for all. And the Hunters, all working for the High Council, were employed to go to any costs to find the Jewel and bring it and the girl before them, dead or alive. Eratrea new there was another option; to escape from the city and protect the Jewel from whatever the High Council had in store for it. She could probably make it- Eratrea was not to be underestimated. But there were so many creatures out there who hungered for the Jewel beyond imagination. And she didn't know if mother could cope without her.
The girl looked left and right across the dark moonlight streets. The Hunt was getting close. Just in time, she turned to her left and dashed across the street towards a towering oak tree and began to climb. She didn't stop until she was hidden among the branches. She watched, holding her breath, as the Hunters passed beneath the tree. They growled and hissed and howled in such a way that made the girl wonder what the High Council would do with the Jewel if they could. The obvious choice would be to protect the city. But Eratrea just didn't trust those men in black hoods, seated around the round table, talking in whispers about the fate of the people. They were hiding something. Eratrea could sense it.

Rules:
So there will be ten spots, so post your character sheets soon. There will be five main charries, one main villain, and as many background and secondary charries as possible. You can join as a Human, Elf, Dwarf, or any other sort of fantasy being you can think of. The basic plot is Eratrea journeys across the nine cities in search of help to protect the Jewel, as the High Council hunts her down and she runs into villains as she goes, of coarse. Basically that's it. This is my first RP so it may need a little help. Please join! The charrie sheet is below.

Appearance: Eratrea had long, straight black hair and piercing almond shape brown eyes. She has a freckled m, pale face and a slender frame from years of hunting to survive. She wears a brown leather tunic, grey leggings and black boots. She is barely seen without her long bow.
Personality: Kind, Confident and rather ruthless, Eratrea has a tendency to hold grudges.

name: Zyrin (pronounced ZIY- rin)
age: 16
gender: female
appearance: Silky, gleaming, long dark brown hair with bangs cut diagonally across her forehead, and golden eyes with a hin of amber in them, wears burned red tunic, black leggings, black boots, and black cloak, has a long, slanting red scar just a little above her left jawbone.
species: half elven, half human
personality: Quiet, reserved, and surly-ish. Gets really emotional when extremely provoked in some way. Kind of emo
strengths: martial arts, is very athletic from fending for herself, sword-fighting
weaknesses: Doesn't make friends very easily,(she never has had any), comes across as kind of rude sometimes because of her surliness, kind of sensitive about her scar

Name: Arken Winter
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Appearance: Arken is tall and lanky, with piercing ice blue eyes and shaggy pale blond hair which he tries to keep neatly combed. He has pale skin and freckles scattered across his nose. He likes to wear a white shirt with a leather vest, brown leggings and sturdy leather boots.
Personality: Confident, easygoing, funny, can get cocky at times, mischievous, like teasing people, but only in fun. He is slow to anger and quick to apologize. He is sensitive, and has a tendency to feel guilty when other people are upset (there's a word for this, I just can't remember it).
Type: Human, part elf, but he doesn't know about the elf part.
Background: His mother was a half elf, but she died in childbirth. Arlen never knew his mother, and his father never told him much about her, and certainly not about her being half elf. His father, a gruff but loving man, raised him from then on.
Other: @Dragonfruit, Can he be friends with Eratrea? And do you want to ship them?

Name: Aurelia (au-ray-lee-ah) Nénar
Gender: Female
Age: 42, but still is only 18 or so in human years
Appearance: Aurelia has mysterious stormy blue grey eyes with flecks of gold around the pupil. She has a smaller nose and mouth, but her eyes are bigger, and are always very alert and observant. Unlike most half elves, she cut her hair shorter to about shoulder length or a bit longer, and it's not straight. Her hair is brown with dark blonde and light brown natural streaks, and it's curly. It's loosely curly, but still unlike most other Elven hair. She has fair skin and freckles sprinkled across her cheeks. She's thin but strong, and she's average height for an 18 year old. She usually wears stormy blue clothing underneath her black cloak, although the clothing underneath the cloak is almost never seen. She moves with a swiftness and quietness that seems quite dangerous.
Personality: Unusually intelligent and wise beyond her years. On the outside, she is friendly and bold, and very kind. She's thoughtful and known to be a good person, even within the Coucil. However, no one knows of the secrets she hides within. Inside, she is cold, calculating, dark, and slowly taking over the Council. She controls an organisation from within, and no one knows the identity of that person. It's her, of course. She despises the Council but also despises those who hate the Council. She's a new type of evil. The smart and manipulating kind. Her words can drive a man to kill those closest to him. She wants the Jewel, because she believes that once she saves the city, she can threaten to destroy it if the people don't become subjective to her rule. But she won't have to force them, no. She'll just spread the word that if they don't, she will manipulate their mind. She already knows that some idiot will stand up among them and say she can't manipulate them. And when she does and when the story spreads across the land, then she'll be feared.
Type: Half elf, half human. That's one of her flaws. People think that she is of dirty blood to be in he Council, but they couldn't refuse her intelligence. She is one of the few members that is not of pure blood, which makes her hate the Council even more.
Background: Her mother was an elf, and her father was a human. Her father, obviously evil and in the High Council, married her mother, a kind and loving elf in secret. Aurelia was the result. Her father hated everything about Aurelia, from her mixed blood to her innocent stare to her mother's stormy blue grey eyes. Multiple times he tried to kill Aurelia and stage it as an accident, and multiple times he failed. But one day, when he tried to kill her with a kitchen knife, her mother caught him and leaped in front of Aurelia to save her. Aurelia was only 14 (or 8) when her mother died. Her father then became extremely distraught and refused to take care of Aurelia, leaving home for days and only coming back once a week at night to try to kill Aurelia. He blamed Aurelia for everything that happened. For months this happened. Then one night, when the sun was only just starting to set, Aurelia took her mother's old bow and arrow and shot her father as he was riding in to her family's property. She slept well that night, and left the very next morning while the sun was only beginning to rise. From there, she lived in the streets until an orphanage found her and forced her to live there. She hated it, being forced to live with idiots. But a university for all species found her and accepted her at the young age of 36 (or 13), and she lived in the dormitories there until she was accepted into the Council when she was 40 (or 17). She's lived in the housing for Council members since then.
