Welcome to Fenford

Welcome to Fenford RP!

OK, so I know that I have a bad rep for not starting or posting on RPs, but I have a good feeling about this one. Sorry, just needed to get that out of the way. ON TO THE INTRO!

~~~~~~~~~
A wooden sign sits next to the road, swaying slightly in the breeze. It reads, "WELCOME TO FENFORD, PENNSYLVANIA! POPULATION: 37 HUMANS, MULTIPLE CATS, DOGS, BIRDS, AND ONE LLAMA. OH, AND A FEW GHOSTS.
The town in question is small, with the majority of the multicolored houses grouped up together on the West side of town. The Plaza is in the center, its cobblestones almost constantly clattering with the sound of feet. On the North side of town lies the Industrial District, where the old railroad and the car factory is. Password: Washing Machine. On the East side lies the Town Hall, with his two clocks, both broken. Also in the north is Oppenheimer's Market where people buy groceries and other things. On the south side lies the old Malconten Manor (one of those old mansions that go on forever), and Welsmith High, Middle, and Elementary School (that's literally what it's called).
Something is happening, though. The Town Hall is dying. He's talking less and less every day. Ivy is beginning to grace his windows. But there's more. The ghosts aren't coming out of Malconten Manor as much anymore. Fenford is losing its peculairity.
~~~~~~~~~~

So, yeah. This RP takes place in Fenford, Pennsylvania, which is a small town in the middle of nowhere. Fenford is not just a normal tow, though. Fenford is peculiar. Very peculiar. The Town Hall (who's name is Hal) likes to give public announcements every morning, Malconten Manor is haunted by some freindly (and some unfreindly) ghosts. But the problem is that Fenford is slowly losing its peculiarity.

RANDOM SIDENOTE: I just read the book Dead End in Norvelt, which is kinda my inspiration.

The people of Fenford are all kinda weird and have their own quirky characteristics (ex. my character Theo uses echolocation, and can recite every Stevie Wonder song by heart). So, without further adeu, the charrie sheets!

Ooh, I love this idea! I've lived mostly in small towns all my life, so this is kinda relatable. XD

~~~~
Name: Eliza Ingrid
Gender: Female
Age: 16 (Don't make charries this age, so might as well)
Species: Human. She thinks.
Appearance: She always has a pondering look. She has fair skin, but not paper pale, and has sprays of freckles. Her big hazel and speckled gold eyes are always inquisitive, and her smaller nose and mouth are a part of her face (duh). She's quite slim but fairly strong and the average height of a 16 year old. She's always cold, so she'll wears sweaters and leggings often. She has loosely curly light chestnut brown hair with natural golden streaks, and her hair is shoulder length.
Personality: Very curious and loves adventure. Eliza is a dreamer and has the biggest imagination. She's quiet and introverted, and prefers the thoughts and company of friends that only she can see. She's quite graceful and smart, but when she is embarrassed, she shies away and turns invisible. She's a gentle soul and quite sensitive, but not a cry baby.
Occupation: Student at the high school and works part time in the animal shelters.
Siblings/pets: A llama and a unicorn that only she can see. People say that's she's crazy, but she can definitely see it. She also has a twin brother who is fairly normal.
Other: The password is Washing Machine, and if shipping is allowed, maybe she could be shipped.
I would like to add that she has one more ability she will discover later... also, I put "Human. She thinks," because she may not be human. But that was probably obvious. XD
Maaaaybe not half-elfs. I was thinking more Gravity Falls than Dungeons and Dragons. Shipping is allowed, for certain. @ADMINS, could you please add Password: to the charrie sheet? Also, Tyberious, could you add a little more detail to the personality?
Name: Theodore Ezeikiel Magnolllian (yes with three 'l's)
Gender/Pronouns: Male, so he, him, etc.
Age (no limits here!): he's about 15 1/2
Species (Are they a ghost or a human or a sentient llama, or what?): Human.
Appearance (in detail): Short, abou 5' flat. Shaggy, jet-black hair that goes to the nape of his neck. his eyes are pupilless, so only the icy blue iris shows. High cheekbones and a very small nose. When it comes to clothing, he doesn't really care, but almost always has his trusty black fedora. Whenever he's relazing, or doesn't need to move anywhere, he'll have his purple earbuds plugged in, listening to Stevie Wonder.
Personality (Make them diverse, NO MARY SUES/GARY STUS): Theo is very understanding of other people's problems and does as much as he can to solve them, even if they've been terrible to him. He's a bit of a geek, and can rant for as long as he needs to about anything that intrests him (Usually Stevie Wonder, but he also listens to the Harry Potter books on audio quite often.) Despite being blind, he is a lot less clumsy than you'd think. He's also quite introverted, perfectly content to sit in a hammock and listen to music while everybosy else is having some kind of crazy Fenford-style party.
Occupation (optional): He's homeschooled, and works part-time at the hat store off the Plaza called The Mad Hatter.
Siblings/pets (optional): Theo's an only child, but his pet Chamelion, Sir Duke often is under his hat.
This sounds pretty cool! Just because I don't think anybody has made a ghost charrie yet (though I can't see all the posts):
Name: Allegro
Gender/Pronouns: female, so she, her, etc.
Age: unknown exactly... appears to be about 16? 17? 15? But hundreds of years old.
Species: ghost
Appearance: young girl, about 15-17 years old. She doesn't know exactly how old she was when she died, or even how long she's been a ghost. She's wearing a medieval-type dress, with the laces up the front and drapey sleeves. It reaches her feet. She also has a small golden circlet on her head. Her hair is unbound and flowing, slightly wavy. She would be very pretty, full lips and large eyes and thick eyelashes and all that... if only she weren't dead.
Personality: shy, very rarely do humans see her. I don't know how the humans end up seeing her yet... she certainly wouldn't seek them out. She's usually pretty calm... but watch out if she gets angry! She's one of the oldest ghosts that haunts the manor, and so one of the most powerful. She can cover an entire room with ice, and even stop a full-grown man's heart. (It comes with being a ghost) But unfortunately, this isn't a power she can control, so it almost never happens. Being a ghost, she is slightly blue and transparent. And, she doesn't even know her own name (see below for backstory) and so when other charries hear her singing or playing the piano, they name her Allegro.
Occupation: haunting
Siblings/Pets: once had a sister named Elinor, but she died long ago in the same accident as Allegro. Allegro still think's she's out there somewhere. Maybe that's how the humans come across her? She hears them and thinks they might be Elinor?
Password: ...Washing Machine?
Other: Although Allegro appears to be from the medieval times, she's actually not. She was at a costume party with her friends when someone, who was targeting her family (they were imprortant merchants when she was alive-- 1800's maybe?), started a fire at the party. Elinor made it out safely, but Allegro was trying to save something unimportant. Elinor leapt back in to save her younger sister, and the house collapsed, killing them both. Elinor's body was never found, so Allegro thinks she might be out in the world somewhere. She's never given up hope-- even after time blurred her memories, and all she can remember of her past is the name "Elinor". She can't remember how she died, who she was (see above for name), or even who Elinor was. She just knows she has to find her.
~~~

I hope I wasn't too controlling or anything! I don't think I'll have much time for posting on this, so I tried to make her an interesting charrie, but not one that would feature prominently.

I love the idea! I might base some of my ideas off the Graveyard Book. Fun Fact: Robert Oppenheimer is a guy that helped create the atomic bomb

Name: Lucas Lupescu

Gender/Pronouns: Male

Age (no limits here!): 14

Species: Werewolf

Appearance (in detail): Looks like a normal human with short, messy black hair and gray eyes. Looks like a large white wolf with blue eyes in wolf form.

Personality: Wary of strangers, but overall loyal and kind to those he knows well and trusts. Very defensive of friends.

Occupation (optional): Guard

Siblings/pets (optional): The Forest Wolves

Password: Washing Machine

Because I haven't rped in ages (or written at all, now that I think about it), thought I might join this one because it looks cool.

By the way, this character is entirely built on the stereotypical FBI/Aliens/Conspiracies that the tv show x-files lives in.

Name: Harper Melonie

Gender: Female

Age: 16

Appearance: Harper's a tall and strong girl, standing at a 5 ft and 9 inches tall. She usually wears a black snapback hat with a stereotypical image of an alien, as well as some NASA sweatshirt and jeans. She absolutely hates taking care of her hair, so she had the sandy brown hair cut to a pixie cut, with a strip dyed an aqua blue. Her eyes are a dark gray, always glinting rather excitedly, inherited from her father, and her chin is narrow and sharp.

Personality: She was born an eccentric conspiracist and scientist, always curious to the point of stupidity. She tries to do or learn something new every day, and comes off as adventurous and excitable. She's all over the place and disorderly, jumping from one topic to another while she talks. She's friendly, but can come off as rude and snarky, especially when she knows more than you do. While pretty intelligent, she's very dense to emotions or insults and is not very sympathetic. Harper's also pretty dramatic, showing off whatever weird invention she's created.

Occupation: She makes a slight bit of money making documentaries on youtube about alien conspiracy theories and just conspiracy theories in general.

Password: Washing Machine, right?

Other: Her parents were scientists working at a secretive government building in the middle of nowhere. When she was 6, her parents mysteriously disappeared and she was forced to live with her grandparents in this small town of Fenford. She believes the government operation her parents were involved in had something to do with aliens, and has been researching their disappearance ever since.

Do you think our charries could have known each other since they were smaller? I don't know, they're about the same age, so it could make sense. It's up to you, though, of course. ^^

(September 17, 2017 - 10:37 am)

Name: Harvest Whitman

Gender/Pronouns: Male, he/him/his

Age (no limits here!): Harvest appears to be around sixteen years old, but as a ghost, he is about eighty years old. (He died in 1953)

Species (Are they a ghost or a human or a sentient llama, or what?): Ghost

Appearance (in detail): Harvest has brown hair. As for the hair style, I honestly don't know how to describe it. Moving on. His eyes are somewhere in between blue and hazel, and they give him a friendly look. As for clothing, he wears what he was wearing when he died; a white shirt, trousers, and a gray jacket, but it's hard to tell the colors, because he's a ghost.

Personality (Make them diverse, NO MARY SUES/GARY STUS): Harvest is optimistic and friendly. He does his best to be helpful, although somtimes he ends up being overbearing. His worst flaw, however, is anger. He hates being made fun of or seeing somebody being hurt, and then his temper gets the best of him. He isn't as powerful as some of the other ghosts, but when he is really, really mad he turns into a tornado. Harvest also has a sense of having missed something very important, but doesn't know what.

Occupation (optional): Haunting

Siblings/pets (optional): He had an older brother, a younger sister, parents and a dog. When the dog died, it came back as a ghost, and sometime you can see it following Harvest around. (Is that okay?)

Password: Washing Machine

Other: He's shippable, and @Starseeker, d'you think they could be friends, since they haunt the same place and all?

submitted by Pepper Star
(September 17, 2017 - 9:06 am)

@Pepper Star:

certainly! I think that Harvest and Allegro could certainly be friends. She feels as if all the ghosts are her family.
