Spontaneous RP!

Spontaneous RP!

Sometimes I feel like we get so caught up in the developement and rules of a RP that it dies before we even make it very far (I know that's happened to me...Combat Cliff RPG, Griffinfeather RPG the first...and more).

So, let's just do some writing.

two rules.

1. Put forth your absolute best. Even if it's not going to be published or maybe no one else but me will read it. It's good for your writing. Trust me.

2. Make sure everything lines up! Mostly!! Inserting random flying unicorns is okay, but killing a character off and then making them reappear might be a little confusing.

If you are still confuzzled, check out this thread to see what I mean:

http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/inkwell/node/65463

just make up a character and join the story. You can be a character I've mentioned or somebody new. My characters are Pheonix and Carlena.

Without further ado, let us begin.

~

"Carlena scratched at the wall's smooth surface, her heart pounding so loud she could hardly think. The dark rectangle seemed to close in around her, pressing in on all sides; squeezing her lungs flat and yanking away all the oxygen. The air was hot and sizzling with frusteration and fear. Throwing herself against the wall, Carlena melted onto the floor. She was stuck. Enclosed in a horrible crystal box while her own dear sister, Caroll, was set on destroying Jewel Academy. All she could do was sit here, helpless and terrified out of her wits, while Caroll did away with everything she worked towards. Carlena tried to take a calming breath and found she could not breath. The walls were closing in...her eyes whirled crazily around the shadows; searching for an exit. If Cassey doesn't get the children out of the academy in time, they'll all... Carlena let out a frusterated gasp of despiration. Oh come on, Carlena! You can't let a little claustrophobia defeat you, girl! She said to herself. The spunky Galaxy Witch sat up slowly and brushed back the gigantic bush of chalk-white, ankle length hair from her damp forehead. Carlena then—"

"Pheonix! Jaihra's on the phone!" My older sister called from downstairs.

"COMING!" I yelled back, dropping The Charming Adventures of Carlena the Galaxy Witch to the floor. Galexia looks up at me in surprise from her nest of pillows on the floor, her eyes clouded, obviously still deep inside the story.

"But...that's not fair! Nixie!" My little sister moans, "What happens to Carlena? What happens to the seven sisters and the academy?"

"You're just going to have to find out next time!" I say with a wink. Galexia shakes her head furiously, sending her fluffy brown pigtails into a frenzy,

"It's not fair that I don't get to see what happens next because you wanna go talk to your giiiiirlfriend," she says angrily. On the last word, an evil smile begins to curl on her lips. I stop half-way to the door.

"Jaihra is NOT my girlfriend. And we have very important things to talk about," I retort hotly before rushing out of Galexia's frilly, pink bedroom and down the stairs, taking the story book with me. The wood steps creak under my feet as I race down, nearly slipping on the last one.

"Yeah, Jaihra, he's coming," I hear my 21-year-old sister, Andromeda, say, Rounding the corner, I can see her leaning against the counter in a red tank top and shorts, her long brown hair in a messy braid over one shoulder. She has my phone tucked between her hear and shoulder while she casually flips through pages of her sketchbook, twirling a bright blue pencil with her free hand.

"I'm here!" I yell breathlessly in her face.

"Took you long enough," she says, rolling her eyes and handing over the phone, "go take your chatting upstairs. You two 'll talk my ears off. Upstairs!" She commands, pointing her pencil.

"Hi Jaihra!" I greet into the phone.

"Hi Pheonix! Ummm...are you alone??" She asks cautiously, "I have an update on...you know...project Milky Way Sorceress and...uh...the Precious Stone School," she hints not-so-subtly.

"Yeah, just a sec," I answer, dashing back upstairs to my room and bouncing onto my bed.

"Okay! Shoot!" I exclaim, tossing down the story book beside me. It flips open to the title page; which is covered with words I'm glad Galexia can't read yet.

For my nephew, Pheonix. I hope you enjoy my charming adventures!!! Please keep in mind that these are all absolutely true and my heroism was not exagerated in the least. Hope that you can soon join me in Jewel Academy! Once you set out on your journey to find it, that is.

Your Aunt Carlena, the spunky Galaxy Witch

P.S. do not show this to anyone or I may have to incenerate them.

I let the book cover slide closed. Yeah, Galaxia, we do have important things to talk about.

I think terrestrial magic is an awesome idea! Do you want to just keep it at gold and silver, or develop some more colors? (Like galexial magic has seven colors, so should terrestrial magic have more too? We could make them, like, all metallic colors?)

Um, I don't mean to intrude or anything, but I was really looking forward to silver magic being the 'lost color', and it being galexial magic, like the others... And possibly finding the Silver Sister... *GASP* WAIT WHAT IF SACRA WAS THE SILVER SISTER AND SOMEHOW LOST HER MEMORYYYYYYY!!! *Stutters* B-but only if it's okay with you guys... I just thought it would make an epic plot twist... :)

Hm. I dunno. I like the idea of Terrestrial magic. So maybe that's like, silver, gold, copper, bronze, and iron or something?

I still kinda like the idea of terrestrial magic (gold, silver, copper, bronze, platinum, iron, maybe something else?), but I get how it'd be cool to have Sacra be THE SILVER SISTER... hmm, maybe there can be seven sisters for terrestrial magic too, just like galexial magic! They can be, like, related to the galexial sisters or something! They could be long lost, and Sacra could be the silver oen. It would also provide opportunity for more charries (as the other lost sisters)! How about that?

I am, in this post, going to introduce the general look of the Metallic Sisters, which is what I think they should be called.

Sacra~

I wake up to a scream. Galexia. She is in her bed, up against the wall, her legs writhing the blankets. I jump up from the floor, on which I had been sleeping. Her wide eyes are staring at me, a distant and horrified look in them. I look down. Silver light is swirling me. I rush to a nearby mirror. To my great alarm, graceful, silver, horns sprout from my head, and my hair turns silver, like a beautifully rugged mane of metal. Seven small silver scales (*Woo hoo alliteration*) appear over my eyes like an enchanting diadem. My clothes change as well. My human clothes change into a beautiful suit of armor, neither samauri nor medieval, but with plates of eternally durable silver connected by soft, white cloth that fit me wonderously, seemingly weak in its grace but undoubtably able to protect me. I gawk at the changes, and behind me I can hear Galexia breathing heavily. Suddenly, a silver flash blinds me. I cry out. Equally suddenly, memories flood into my head. There are more like me. Seven of us. Silver magic is some sort of queen among us. I am the Silver Heir. Gold magic is evil and in league with the Purple Sister. My best friend was the Bronze Sister. Her name was Avani. I hold my head in my hands and groan.

"Sacra!" Galexia rushes over to me. I look at her. She gasps. "Your eyes! They shine like silver in the moonlight!" I look at the mirror again. She is right. My eyes glow with a faint, cold light. The door bursts open, and Andromeda charges, hands glowing a violent blue, into the room.

~~

Teee heeeeeee. This would also open spots for Sacra's ship, if anybody would like to make a male charrie with metallic magic...!

Jaihra~

“Hey guys, do you notice something weird between Dominique and Andromeda?” Phoenix asked. He was spying on them through a crack in the door. Our cabin was situated right next to the control.

“Go to sleep.” I muttered.

“Ooh! Maybe they like each other!” Raja replied excitedly.

“Yuck!” Sam made a face.

Suddenly, there was a bright flash of silver, and I could hear a scream. Panicking, I went with my instinct and got Andromeda. She was already ahead of me, and burst through the door, surrounding the room with blue magic. Thank god for Andromeda.

“Sacra, calm down, what’s going on?” Andromeda said, trying to keep her calm. Everyone else in the crew had woken up, and came over.

”I remember! There’s people like me out there! Terrestrial magic, from Earth, but there are people like me elsewhere. And I think I’m... like Carlena and Chastice now.”

”Like an immortal sister?”

”Well, I don’t think so.”

“A princess maybe?” Saphira asked.

”Well, I’ll tell you what I remember. It started wh-“ There was a loud BOOM! And our ship jolted. Everyone fell over, and skidded to the wall.

“Dominique! Everything good?” No response. We all scrambled to the control room, and found Dominique passed out on the floor.

“I think he hit his head on the dashboard.” Zephyr said.

“What’s happening?” Galexia asked nervously. I went to work, checking the levels on the ship byte.

”I think we’re going into reentry.” I replied

“The heat shield isn’t up!” Dathan ran off, probably to put up the heat shield. Either that or he was so done with our numerous crash landings that he was just going to parachute off the back exit.

“Reentry??? But we checked the map! There aren’t any planets from here to the Academy!” Raja hissed, and put on her headset.

“We have a bigger problem, Dominique is out cold, and we have a ship to land!” Saphira said loudly. She did have a point. Everyone looked at me. Why me?! Well Andromeda was too busy trying to keep Dom alive to be in charge. Ok. We could do the rainbow thing, but with everyone tired, and Galexia confused and scared, that might not work. I sighed.

“Phoenix, can you land the ship?” Phoenix leapt up excitedly.

”YES!!” He jumped into the pilot’s seat and cracked his knuckles. Oh boy, here we go. The rest of the crew buckled in quickly, to avoid getting whiplashed by the spontaneous turns we were about to take.

To my surprise, we didn’t die. The landing was a bit rough, but an improvement.

“How did I do Jai!” I didn’t say anything, but pulled him into a death grip hug.

“Thank the Galaxy Sisters we didn’t die.” We all stumbled out of the plane, and looked around at the landscape of the mystery planet.

~~~~~~~~~~~
Wow, I feel like I’m starting to write longer posts. Anyway, I think I’ll post another informational post later today. I’m also thinking of making a charrie with gold magic at the Academy. I was thinking that he would be more of an antagonist to the crew. And some other plot twists too...
Ooh, yes! I'm gonna write a short part about what the evil sisters (Purple and Gold) are doing... Purple is Caroll, right? Is it alright if I name the Gold sister Alethea? BTW, I'm not going to adopt them as charries; I just wanted to write a scene with the villians.
~ Caroll and Alethea ~
Alethea, lounged in a comfortable sofa, tapped her rose-gold watch, tutting impatiently at the door. As if on cue, it shot open, admitting a jazzy woman dressed in all purple.
"Late, Caroll?"
The woman narrowed her eyes and gave a curt nod, perching on the edge of a hardback chair, "I was preoccupied with finding where the Amethyst (author's note: that's the ship's name, right?) was heading."
"And what did you find?" Alethea prompted.
"The Planet of Secrets."
Alethea's eyes widened slightly, her long black lashes framing her shining eyes, "Oh, really?"
"Yes, really," Caroll smirked, pleased to have shocked her carefree-seeming accomplice.
"Whatever for?"
"To find the wretched Starz man. You know, the one who went around searching for his wife like a fool, found out too much, and is curently rotting in our very pleasant dungeon?"
"Ah, that one," Alethea mused with a nod, "A bit of an idiot, if you ask me."
"Now, Alethea, the reason for this meeting."
"Of course, of course," she rolled her eyes, "Let's start, Caroll."
She lifted her arms, and golden tendrils rose out of them, swirling about them like golden bangle bracelets.
"Oh, Alethea, always one for beauty and grace," Caroll rolled her eyes, holding out her hands and summoning a strong bolt of purple lightning that shot across the room and bounced off the walls.
"Oh, Caroll, always one for theatrics," Alethea shot back, making the gold around her arms bunch up and rise towards a glass bowl between the two.
Caroll grabbed the lightning bolt and flicked it into the bowl, shooting violet lasers into it to mix the two colors. As she stirred, Alethea grabbed a tiny crystal bottle of solution and poured a drop into the bowl.
"Ready now?"
Caroll nodded, releasing her hold on the magic. Immediately, the chaos died down, leaving a clear, water-like liquid in the bowl.
"Perfect," Alethea purred, nimbly leaping up and standing above the bowl. Caroll was up in a flash as well, looking over at their reflections in the water. She waved her arms over it, and immediately, a scene on the Amethyst appeared.
"Oh, the little brat is crying again," Caroll groaned, "Can't believe she's my heir."
"Lookie here," Alethea laughed, pointing, "Miss Sacra, huh? Oh, my darling sister is in for it. Look how confused she looks. How silly! I'll make easy work of her, that I'm sure of."
"Obviously," Caroll rolled her eyes, then noticed the girl walking in, "It's that one I'm concerned about, however. The blue magic girl. I've tracked her adventures--or, should I say, misadventures--across the galexy. She's more powerful than she knows."
"And besides, you know, the stupid love protection spell thingamajig," Alethea added. The two looked inside and saw the little purple-magic girl cradled in the arms of her older sister.
"I've seen this a few too many times," Caroll muttered, watching in disgust as the two hugged each other. So this was her heir.
Her fingers twitched, and she put them over the liquid, dark purple twirling around her fingers.
"Caroll..." Alethea gave her a warning glance, "Don't forget; we can't let them know we're tracking them. They have to be unsuspecting as they walk into our plan..."
Caroll cackled gleefully as she thought of it, "Of course, Alethea. Of course."
The two watched the scene for a few more minutes, then Alethea waved her hands over it and the scene disappeared, leaving the liquid clear again, "Meeting adjourned."
"Until next time," Caroll nodded, then the room and the two women inside disappeared.
Could we please call it metallic magic instead of terrestrial magic? I hate the feeling of a magic type confined to a planet... Oh and Cassandra, I love the name, and you depicte her EXACTLY how I had imagined her! XD
Thank you!
Hmm, when I was thinking about metallic/terrestrial magic's history, I was thinking that the technical name could be metallic magic, but all the sisters could have been banished or accidentally sent to earth somehow, earning it the nickname terrestrial magic. And, maybe, the metallic/terrestrial sisters could be somehow related to the galexial sisters...? I dunno, tell me what y'all think!
Is Metallic Magic going to be the same as Galexial magic? I always thought that Metallic/Terrestrial magic stemed from earth, which is why it's so unknown.
When Sacra discovered that she was the "Silver sister" I kind of thought that Metallic/Terrestrial magic was passed down through people after they die. Like the title of "Silver Witch" was sort of a fluid title(?)
If that's not the case, is Sacra immortal/how old is she?
(September 22, 2018 - 10:36 pm)
She would be immortal, but she and the other Metallic Sisters were scattered throught the universe, and they've been looking of each other. Sacra, being the heir to the most powerful of these magicks, had her memory wiped somehow. Thoughts? Oh, and I'm drawing the Metallic Sisters... Possibly the Gaxexial Sisters later on...?
(September 23, 2018 - 12:09 am)
I'm pretty sure Metallic Magic isn't the same as Galexial Magic. They might have had a similar origin, but by now, they're very different. And yeah, it would make sense for Metallic magic to be passed down, to make it different from Galexial Magic, which has immortal sisters then a magic that chooses people. Maybe Alethea could, then, be the new gold witch--or she could somehow have turned immortal. Hmmm... there's something to explore there!
What if the title of [whatever metal] Witch is passed on when the old witch dies? That would make it different from Galexial Magic, which has 7 immortal Galexial Witches. Like the magic choose Sacra when she was young, because the old Silver Witch died, and it caused the memory of her old life to be wiped. Maybe that would prevent Sacra from being OP and make it different than Galexial Magic?
