Spontaneous RP!

Spontaneous RP!

Sometimes I feel like we get so caught up in the developement and rules of a RP that it dies before we even make it very far (I know that's happened to me...Combat Cliff RPG, Griffinfeather RPG the first...and more).

So, let's just do some writing.

two rules.

1. Put forth your absolute best. Even if it's not going to be published or maybe no one else but me will read it. It's good for your writing. Trust me.

2. Make sure everything lines up! Mostly!! Inserting random flying unicorns is okay, but killing a character off and then making them reappear might be a little confusing.

If you are still confuzzled, check out this thread to see what I mean:

http://www.cricketmagkids.com/chatterbox/inkwell/node/65463

just make up a character and join the story. You can be a character I've mentioned or somebody new. My characters are Pheonix and Carlena.

Without further ado, let us begin.

~

"Carlena scratched at the wall's smooth surface, her heart pounding so loud she could hardly think. The dark rectangle seemed to close in around her, pressing in on all sides; squeezing her lungs flat and yanking away all the oxygen. The air was hot and sizzling with frusteration and fear. Throwing herself against the wall, Carlena melted onto the floor. She was stuck. Enclosed in a horrible crystal box while her own dear sister, Caroll, was set on destroying Jewel Academy. All she could do was sit here, helpless and terrified out of her wits, while Caroll did away with everything she worked towards. Carlena tried to take a calming breath and found she could not breath. The walls were closing in...her eyes whirled crazily around the shadows; searching for an exit. If Cassey doesn't get the children out of the academy in time, they'll all... Carlena let out a frusterated gasp of despiration. Oh come on, Carlena! You can't let a little claustrophobia defeat you, girl! She said to herself. The spunky Galaxy Witch sat up slowly and brushed back the gigantic bush of chalk-white, ankle length hair from her damp forehead. Carlena then—"

"Pheonix! Jaihra's on the phone!" My older sister called from downstairs.

"COMING!" I yelled back, dropping The Charming Adventures of Carlena the Galaxy Witch to the floor. Galexia looks up at me in surprise from her nest of pillows on the floor, her eyes clouded, obviously still deep inside the story.

"But...that's not fair! Nixie!" My little sister moans, "What happens to Carlena? What happens to the seven sisters and the academy?"

"You're just going to have to find out next time!" I say with a wink. Galexia shakes her head furiously, sending her fluffy brown pigtails into a frenzy,

"It's not fair that I don't get to see what happens next because you wanna go talk to your giiiiirlfriend," she says angrily. On the last word, an evil smile begins to curl on her lips. I stop half-way to the door.

"Jaihra is NOT my girlfriend. And we have very important things to talk about," I retort hotly before rushing out of Galexia's frilly, pink bedroom and down the stairs, taking the story book with me. The wood steps creak under my feet as I race down, nearly slipping on the last one.

"Yeah, Jaihra, he's coming," I hear my 21-year-old sister, Andromeda, say, Rounding the corner, I can see her leaning against the counter in a red tank top and shorts, her long brown hair in a messy braid over one shoulder. She has my phone tucked between her hear and shoulder while she casually flips through pages of her sketchbook, twirling a bright blue pencil with her free hand.

"I'm here!" I yell breathlessly in her face.

"Took you long enough," she says, rolling her eyes and handing over the phone, "go take your chatting upstairs. You two 'll talk my ears off. Upstairs!" She commands, pointing her pencil.

"Hi Jaihra!" I greet into the phone.

"Hi Pheonix! Ummm...are you alone??" She asks cautiously, "I have an update on...you know...project Milky Way Sorceress and...uh...the Precious Stone School," she hints not-so-subtly.

"Yeah, just a sec," I answer, dashing back upstairs to my room and bouncing onto my bed.

"Okay! Shoot!" I exclaim, tossing down the story book beside me. It flips open to the title page; which is covered with words I'm glad Galexia can't read yet.

For my nephew, Pheonix. I hope you enjoy my charming adventures!!! Please keep in mind that these are all absolutely true and my heroism was not exagerated in the least. Hope that you can soon join me in Jewel Academy! Once you set out on your journey to find it, that is.

Your Aunt Carlena, the spunky Galaxy Witch

P.S. do not show this to anyone or I may have to incenerate them.

I let the book cover slide closed. Yeah, Galaxia, we do have important things to talk about.

We'll miss you, Rose Bud.

(I got the vide earlier that Jai X Raja X Pheonix was a thing we were going to do, so... before this ends... a lil fluff for a lil post)

Raja

~~

I stare at the two, head cocked slightly. I slide my eyes over to Pheonix, who stands frozen as well. Jai inches toward us, clasping our hands and looking over at Scara in worry. Andromeda protectively curls around Galexia as she slightly sticks her tongue out in concentration as if trying to remember is he met this person...

~~

Sorry, I didn't want to control Scara's reactions too much! Sorry for being inactive on this for a little!

Just a not her name is Sacra, not Scara. :)

Sacra~

I stare at this boy, Farlan, as he weeps quietly, kneeling at my side. Suddenly, something clicks. This is the 'He' Alethea was talking about in our last stand!

"But... You were dead... I saw her kill you...!" I can't hold back any longer. I throw my arms around Farlan, holding him close, all the while memories are flooding back.

The War of Metal. That is what it was called. Metallic magic's first showdown. Alethea against me, the rest of the Metallic Guardians against Alethea's most powerful allies. I faced Alethea, both of us with our twin swords in each hand. I remember Farlan, his iron swords flashing as he drew them quietly out of their sheaths. Alethea knew he loved me for more than just a friend, but at that moment she didn't know I loved him back. Alethea straightened.

"Ah, sister. Finally, it has come to this." She lowered her blades to point at the ground and stabbed them into the rock slab we stood on. I straighten as well, but I do not let loose my grip on my blades, not one bit. "I've been waiting for our tension to snap for a long time now. Funny. You and I are the only twins in the entire band of Metallic Guardians. As you know, all the rest of them formed after us. We were born at the exact same time." To add to the drama of the battlefield, Alethea put one hand on her hip and cocked her head, shaking it slightly. "So interesting. You and me; the Precious Twins. Heh. That may be what we are called, but everybody knows gold is worth more than silver." She glared mockingly at me. I glared back at her, defiance and determination gleaming from my silver eyes.

"Although that may be true, silver has more potential than gold." Alethea smirked.

"Ah, I love these intellectual battles. We never have them anymore, it's sad. We used to have them so often when we were first young." I tossed a strand of silver hair away from my face with a short flick of my head.

"Yes, I miss those. I also miss the Alethea I used to know, not this evil imposter." My golden twin flinched. Her eyes went blank as she reached absentmindedly to the simple gold chain around her neck. Suddenly, she shook her head to clear her mind. Alethea glared at me, her gaze more venomous than before.

"Stop toying with me, Sacra." Alethea tore her swords from the ground and stalked towards me, blades in ready position. I drew my own swords into a defensive stance and stayed my ground. "We both know that I will destroy you, and we both know why." Alethea raised one sword and brought it down, barely missing my head, but I jumped out of the way. "You were always the helper. The one who rushed to the hurt and helped them up. I would have too, if I could. You know why I couldn't? BECAUSE GOLDEN MAGIC IS A TRICKSTER!" She screeched. Her golden eyes blazed with self-hate and despair. "A LIAR!! A THIEF!!" Alethea's blades whirled as she flung attack after attack at me, and the sound of metal on metal rang as I parried and blocked. "All I ever wanted was to be loved, was to have friends! But everybody shunned me for my magic!" Tears streamed from her furious eyes. I sidestepped her latest blow.

"Alethea, you had me! I was your friend!" I shout. Her eyes burn into my own like molten gold.

"You were never my friend! You were my sister, my twin!"

"That made us even closer!" Alethea gnashed her teeth.

"No. It made me look all the more evil. Next to you I was a fire to be quenched, and nothing more." Suddenly, she reached up and tore the gold chain from her neck. She clenched it tightly in her fist. "You gave me this. I gave you your silver chain. It was our token of sisterhood, of friendship and love." Her fist shook with rage. "Did you really feel those things when you looked at me??" She threw the chain at my face. With one fluid motion, I caught it. Farlan slunk off of the fallen collumn.

"Yes, Alethea, I did." I said, securing the golden chain around my own neck, leaving it to lay on my collarbone with the silver chain. "I still do." Alethea stopped. We stared at each other for a while. Suddenly, and to my horror, Farlan's toe accidentally sends a small pebble skidding across the stone platform. Alethea froze, and slowly turned. Farlan froze in his tracks, haunched and staring with fear in his iron eyes at Alethea. Alethea's eyes turned cold and malicious, even worse than her usual hot anger.

"You. I should have known. Stab me in the back, will you? Protect my twin sister, will you? Well then. MEET YOUR END, FARLAN!" She flew at him. Before I knew it, he was bleeding out, gasping like a fish. Alethea laughed coldly. Her laugh grew louder and more blood-crazed when I ran to him, cradling him in my arms and begging him not to die. I watched the lights in his eyes flicker and go out. Without a word, I picked up my swords, my eyes steely and cold.

"You. Will. Pay." I hissed before flying at Alethea.

Only now do I realize that the others have come into the room. Jai scoots over to Pheonix and Raja.

"Have we ever seen this guy before?" She whispers to Pheonix. If I read it right, a flicker of contempt lights in Phoenix's eyes as he sizes Farlan up. He's intimidated.

"No, I don't think so." He whispers back. Raja leans over.

"I think they know each other though." Jai rolls her eyes at Raja.

"Yeah well thanks, Captain Obvious." She says, and walks over to Andromeda. "I think they would like some privacy for a little bit." Andromeda nods and points to a small passageway to another room. They all silently disappear into it. Farlan's tears have stopped, and he grabs me by the shoulders.

"Sacra, I know you. You were my... my..." I smile softly.

"One and only." He nods. "Yes. Regeneration kinda knocks the memories straight out of your head until you see them, doesn't it?" Farlan laughs in a cough-like spasm and covers his mouth with the back of his hand.

First off, thank y'all so much for your sweet comments! That really meant a lot. And thanks Leeli and Leafpool! Your "barging in" is very welcome and much appreciated. And yes, I'm still leaving. Everyone grows up eventually. But you can bet I'll be back for Valentine's day!!

Ooooookay I've got so much to catch up on and I'm waaaaaaay behind. Bear with me. I'll try not to make this too terribly long, but well...y'all, it's me :P

Andromeda~

At first, when I hear the ship's engine fire up and squint through the swirls of sand to see it, I can't understand what was going on. A hundred possibilities rise up in my head.

Oh! The ship works! That's good, was top on the list.

And then the flickering, blue lights and sleek, glinting silver roar above my head, blasting back the sand around me.

It's leaving.

It's leaving.

He's leaving.

Dom's leaving.

If I could snatch the ship out of the atmosphere I would have done it in a heartbeat. I would have brought him back and pinned him against the wall with my words and made him stay.

It doesn't make sense. Why is Dom leaving?

Any second now, he would turn around, right? Right?

Why isn't he turning around?

And it isn't until my heart drops into the cavern at my feet and the tears I haven't cried since Mom left turn to arrows aiming back at my eyes that I can finally see.

He never cared. Of course not. I'm an idiot.

I'm an idiot.

I'm an idiot.

How could I have trusted him? Was it the way he helped me fight my enemies at Spectrum System, even though I was the one who kidnapped him and dragged him there? And the rightness and safety of having someone have my back? Or was it the cool, methodical way he'd gotten us out of every problem so far, so that I didn't have to do it? I didn't have to play my usual role of leader, big sister, the one who takes everyone's problems and worries about what I tell my siblings not to worry about.

But I won't think about it. I won't analyze or dwell on it. I can't.

Don't cry, I tell myself. The same thing I say when it's night and I'm scribbling my "angry drawings" after the kiddos have gone to bed.

I won't cry about Dom. I don't cry over boys.

.

Galexia murmers something in my ear, dragging me back into reality. I need to get my head out of these dreams and silly notions. For her.

She wraps her arms around my neck quickly, entirely convinced that hugs can solve all the galexy's problems.

And maybe they can.

I'm selfishly thankful as the sand folds into a mysterious staircase in front of us, leading down into a dark, underground cavern. I wrap one hand tightly around Galexia's, and keep the other on the blaster in my jacket pocket. I could use a little action.

don't worry, this isn't the last of me. I've just been super busy and I have a feeling it's kind of going to stay that way. But I'll pop in every once in a while.

That is IT!!

Sacra~

It's been about thirty minutes since Farlan stopped crying. Neither of us has said anything, we've merely been staring at each other. Galexia's giggle seminars from the other room. I stand and offer Farlan a hand.

"Come on. It's about time you met my friends." Farlan stands and we walk quietly into the room where the others are doing something that makes Galexia laugh. Pushing fully open the cold, oaken door, Farlan peeks in. I slip past him and head straight for Galexia. Her cheerful face wrinkles with her smile as she throws her arms around my neck. Farlan comes in all the way, but doesn't come any closer. He nods in greeting. Andromeda stands up and strides over to him. Farlan flinches away from her direct approach, even though the'ye about the same height and Falran is obviously stronger. She stops, almost toe to toe with Farlan.

"Who are you? Where are we? What's up with you and Sacra? Are you friend or-"

"ANDROMEDA." Jaihra steps in between the two and pushes Andromeda slightly back with one hand. "Give the poor guy some breathing space." Jai turns back to Farlan. He's up against the wall now. Poor Farlan. His dog rubs up against his leg in an attempt to gain some attantion. Andromeda sighs.

"Sorry. I'm under a lot of stress right now." Farlan nods.

"Welcome to my world." He says. Andromeda smiles for the first time in a good long while.

I gotchu!

ALETHEA HA I BET YOU DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING~

Gold magic swirls with purple lightening bolts around the edges if the bowl. Inside, Sarca is introducing a boy to her pathetic teammates. One of them is blushing fiercely, an Caroll chuckles. I frown.

"Utterly weak, I tell you. She's known about his existence for thirty minutes or so and she's blushing!" With a sneer on my face, I sit back in my chair. I recognize the boy. Farlan. I killed him long ago... I wonder how he came back? I remember the day Sacra and I met him. We were such good friends, back then when we were first young... I shake my head. Caroll looks up at me.

"What?" She says, placing her hands on her hips. I shrug.

"Have you ever loved, Caroll?" I ask, fingertips pressing lightly together. She cocks an eyebrow.

"No, why? Love is weak, and unless you find some immortal guy with magic it'll never happen." She says, a strange light filling her eyes. She looks back into the bowl. "No but seriously, why do you ask?" I smile softly.

"Because that boy - his name is Farlan - is very special to my sister. They were in love long ago. He being supposedly a lesser metallic, I thought he only had one life. But now I see. Now I see so clearly." I press my fingertips together more forcefully. "You see, this Farlan, he's special. If I am correct, then he was so devoted to my sister that he simply refused to die. His magic did the next best thing and went into suspended animation... This is lost on you, isn't it?" Caroll ha been Loki g at me like she was mentally screaming at me to shut up. She places a hand over the bowl. The purple lightening fades, and so does the image of what's going on in the life of my sister and her idiot band. I allow the gold to fade as well. For a moment, we sit in silence. Caroll's face is contorted with contemplation. Suddenly she bursts out:

"What is love?" I raise my eyebrows. After a moment, I settle deeper into my throne-like chair.

"I'm not sure. I assume it's something along the lines of acceptance and deep friendship but I've never really known either of those." Only now do I realize my hand went to my collarbone when I began to talk, searching to finger the golden chain Sacra gave me when we were first young, but it's not there. It hasn't been there for a long time. I find myself slightly missing it. Violently, I shove those feelings out of my mind.

Here is a snippet so we can get back into Lennon and Winn. I guess Winn has a few special fairy senses... please respond if you think thats not super accurate.

Winn~

I swoosh over and under clouds as fluffy as cotton candy as Lennon who was behind me zooms past. He and the neon pegasus Saphira's mom lent him have so much in common- I laugh as they flip their hair at the same time the same way. My neon pegasus is calmer- I guess the Queen chose them to suit ourselves.

I remember this morning when I told Lennon about the tour around earth* I won.

"I still need one more adventure with you before you leave."  Lennon replied. "Otherwise I might miss you to much."

Well, an hour later, I told him he would get what he wanted. Something he jokingly calls my "Spidey-sense" (something he heard about from a story from earth) "tingled". Basically, somehow my conscience told me Pheonix and the gang were in for trouble from Alethea and Caroll at the planet of secrets. This  "psychic ability" has only happened once before- and I was right: My Dad was really being attacked by unicorns. I told Lennon and we went to the Queen for transportation- she gave us Neon Pegasi, which can be flown outside of the Fairy World's atmosphere.

Hopefully we can save Pheonix and the gang-as long as I don't get turned into a frog again, I'll do my best to help them.

*another rp Winn will be in

whooph i wrote a lot more than in my previous posts. I hope I'm not ruining the RP or anything in terms of what you guys want to do with it.
