Spontaneous RP!

Sometimes I feel like we get so caught up in the developement and rules of a RP that it dies before we even make it very far (I know that's happened to me...Combat Cliff RPG, Griffinfeather RPG the first...and more).

So, let's just do some writing.

two rules.

1. Put forth your absolute best. Even if it's not going to be published or maybe no one else but me will read it. It's good for your writing. Trust me.

2. Make sure everything lines up! Mostly!! Inserting random flying unicorns is okay, but killing a character off and then making them reappear might be a little confusing.

If you are still confuzzled, check out this thread to see what I mean:

just make up a character and join the story. You can be a character I've mentioned or somebody new. My characters are Pheonix and Carlena.

Without further ado, let us begin.

"Carlena scratched at the wall's smooth surface, her heart pounding so loud she could hardly think. The dark rectangle seemed to close in around her, pressing in on all sides; squeezing her lungs flat and yanking away all the oxygen. The air was hot and sizzling with frusteration and fear. Throwing herself against the wall, Carlena melted onto the floor. She was stuck. Enclosed in a horrible crystal box while her own dear sister, Caroll, was set on destroying Jewel Academy. All she could do was sit here, helpless and terrified out of her wits, while Caroll did away with everything she worked towards. Carlena tried to take a calming breath and found she could not breath. The walls were closing in...her eyes whirled crazily around the shadows; searching for an exit. If Cassey doesn't get the children out of the academy in time, they'll all... Carlena let out a frusterated gasp of despiration. Oh come on, Carlena! You can't let a little claustrophobia defeat you, girl! She said to herself. The spunky Galaxy Witch sat up slowly and brushed back the gigantic bush of chalk-white, ankle length hair from her damp forehead. Carlena then—"

"Pheonix! Jaihra's on the phone!" My older sister called from downstairs.

"COMING!" I yelled back, dropping The Charming Adventures of Carlena the Galaxy Witch to the floor. Galexia looks up at me in surprise from her nest of pillows on the floor, her eyes clouded, obviously still deep inside the story.

"But...that's not fair! Nixie!" My little sister moans, "What happens to Carlena? What happens to the seven sisters and the academy?"

"You're just going to have to find out next time!" I say with a wink. Galexia shakes her head furiously, sending her fluffy brown pigtails into a frenzy,

"It's not fair that I don't get to see what happens next because you wanna go talk to your giiiiirlfriend," she says angrily. On the last word, an evil smile begins to curl on her lips. I stop half-way to the door.

"Jaihra is NOT my girlfriend. And we have very important things to talk about," I retort hotly before rushing out of Galexia's frilly, pink bedroom and down the stairs, taking the story book with me. The wood steps creak under my feet as I race down, nearly slipping on the last one.

"Yeah, Jaihra, he's coming," I hear my 21-year-old sister, Andromeda, say, Rounding the corner, I can see her leaning against the counter in a red tank top and shorts, her long brown hair in a messy braid over one shoulder. She has my phone tucked between her hear and shoulder while she casually flips through pages of her sketchbook, twirling a bright blue pencil with her free hand.

"I'm here!" I yell breathlessly in her face.

"Took you long enough," she says, rolling her eyes and handing over the phone, "go take your chatting upstairs. You two 'll talk my ears off. Upstairs!" She commands, pointing her pencil.

"Hi Jaihra!" I greet into the phone.

"Hi Pheonix! Ummm...are you alone??" She asks cautiously, "I have an update on...you know...project Milky Way Sorceress and...uh...the Precious Stone School," she hints not-so-subtly.

"Yeah, just a sec," I answer, dashing back upstairs to my room and bouncing onto my bed.

"Okay! Shoot!" I exclaim, tossing down the story book beside me. It flips open to the title page; which is covered with words I'm glad Galexia can't read yet.

For my nephew, Pheonix. I hope you enjoy my charming adventures!!! Please keep in mind that these are all absolutely true and my heroism was not exagerated in the least. Hope that you can soon join me in Jewel Academy! Once you set out on your journey to find it, that is.

Your Aunt Carlena, the spunky Galaxy Witch

P.S. do not show this to anyone or I may have to incenerate them.

I let the book cover slide closed. Yeah, Galaxia, we do have important things to talk about.

Oh my god! These are amazing!

"Fairy land?" Saphira nodded.

"We have to hurry, the door is going to close in about 4 hours."

"What door?" Asked Phoenix, now fiddling with the controls. I slapped his hand, which was hovering over a dangerous looking red button.

"Well we have to go to a tree. To get to the fairy land you must go through a birch tree."

"Sam, check the map." Sam zoomed in on our GPS system.

"THERE!" Shouted Galexia excitedly. She pointed to a forest, about 20 miles from where we were."

"Phoenix, we have to start the descent now!"

"Um, ok..." He jerked the wheel downwards, flinging us to the seat in front of us. Lyra grabbed Galexia's shirt, stopping her from being flung to the front of the ship. We all screamed. Well, except for me, because someone has to stop Phoenix from killing us all. I engaged our wheels, and slowed down the acceleration. Phoenix's eyes were glowing yellow.

"Phoenix, pull up!" He pulled up, but too late as we made the worst landing in ship history.

Anyone can make avatars! I didn't draw them :P I certainly don't have any artistic talent. But thanks! And I think the banter between Jaihra and Pheonix is getting funnier every post!! These two... :)

I had a cool idea about these colors and all and our characters! I'm not quite sure how many characters there are at the moment with galexial magic (I think it's 4?), but what if we had 7 characters with all the different colors of galexial magic (if no one else joins the RP we could, maybe, just make up characters), and, in the RP, they'll become a team. And then the "bad guy" of the RP could show up, and since people with the seven galexial magic colors are a team (just like the Sisters), they'll be the only ones who can stop him/her!

Now that I look back on it, it sounds kind of cliche... but I think it would make for some pretty good action and a kind of plotline we could follow as we go along. But what do you all think about the idea? We don't have to do it if you don't like it, of course.

So, here's a list of the people with galexial magic in the RP so far (not including the Sisters), just to keep track (tell me if I missed anyone):

Andromeda, Blue

Phoenix, Yellow

Galexia, Purple

Raja, Green (Tyberious Firestone, is it all right if she's Green? Because, if you want to go with my idea, Galexia's already Purple. But if you don't like my idea, it's fine, and Raja can be whatever you like)

Sam, with a hint of something... I haven't figured out what yet.  Probably blue because her magic is light blue.

That's a cool idea! I don't have time to write a good-quality post right now, but Dathan does not have magic. He is mundanely human. :P

@Rose bud, Lyra has magic. Which kind do you think hers is?

Ummm, probably white, the pure and charming magic, and she seems to be very powerful. But it's whatever you want to do!

Also, sorry I haven't been posting! Last week was a show week so I was pretty busy, but school is winding down now, so hopefully I'll have time to be on here more! Yay!

Yes, white sounds right. (No rhyme intended. Personally I don't like rhymes very much unless maybe in a poem. XD)

Yup, white does sounds about right!

Sam: Stop rhyming! I mean it!

Wildflower: anybody want a—

Sam: Don't you dare.

:P okay, we'll get back on track with this tomorrow? It would be really funny if Pheonix and the gang were walking around Saphira's home planet acting like gobsmacked humans from earth (of course), and Saphira is having to be like "Don't touch that!" "Put that down or you'll die in three seconds" and stuff like that.

I'm not sure who screamed the loudest during our descent. But it most certainly wasn't me.

I squeeze my eyes shut as we hurtle towards the birch tree, wondering if it would be the last thing I'd see...

Wait, the pilot isn't supposed to close his eyes.

"Pheonix! Pull up!" Jaihra yells.

Just in time, I pull up as Saphira shoots us through the portal.

We bounce off something and take a turbulent dive.

I close my eyes again and beg any ounce of magic that I have in me to get us safely to through this.

Something scrapes against the bottom of the ship, and I wince at each loud, jarring screech.

Dathan yells something, but I can't hear him over the rush of air and everyone else's screaming.

Then the ship hits the ground with a sickening jolt and tilts halfway on its side before bouncing to a stop.

Everyone stops screaming after they realize we're actually not moving anymore.l

Slowly, I open my eyes and relinquish my death-grip on the joystick.

At first, all I can see are vibrant, glowing colors seemingly coming from everywhere. But as my eyes adjust to the new light, I can see that the glowing colors are all coming through the front window, and are being reflected off thousands of reflective surfaces.

"Wow..." I breathe, then unbuckle my seat belt and dash back across the ship to the exit (which is kind of a slanted climb at this point, seeing as the ship is on its side) almost before Saphira can yell "No! Wait," Jaihra can facepalm, and Galexia can scream, "Nixie!"

I whip back around.

Lol. I think everyone knows Pheonix all too well at this point. If they crashland in fairyland...he's going to want to leave everyone and explore the potentially dangerous new world :P

I stop screaming as the ship stops moving and I  move to hypervenelating as I quickly climb onto the mast, not noticing that my left arm had a deep gash, leaving a trail of blood. I whimper and turn to saphira, "WHAT. THE. HECK, MAN!"  I see Pheonix starting to leave, I jump down, landing with a thud, and try to grab at him, " Oh no you dont'!" He dances out of the way of my grasp, and I topple, catching myself on the door. "We stick together."

"I knoooooooooooooow." He said, a slight whine in his voice.

I look at Saphira for help on this one.
