Chatterbox: Inkwell

An Idea!

So, a few nights ago, when I was supposed to be asleep but wasn't, I came up with an idea and I would like feedback.

Here we go:

The Society of Alice is an independant and highly respected but secretive military-like structure, ruled by a powerful group of people called the Tea Party. Under the Tea Party (which is devided into ranks) is the four regiments: hearts, clubs, spades, and diamonds. I am still working out the differences between the regiments, but you know, this whole thing is really a work in progress. Anyway, in order to get in, you have to take an initial exam that will test if you are qualified enough to take the Alice Trials. The Alice Trials are a bunch of tournaments such as puzzles, duels, fights, and combinations of other things. I'm thinking there will be some sort of card game involved. Once these are completed, the Trial takers who made the requirements (or are still alive) will be addmitted into the society and will take training to become an Alice and addmitted into one of the regiments. Ranks are told by cards, for instance: The Ace is the commander of the regiment, the King and Queen are underneath him, the Jack would be the Ace's avisor or something like that... And everyone else starts out as a two and can be moved up with training. Instead of having stripes on your sleeve or something like that, you actually have a card on your shoulder. The Joker's role is pretty undefined and veiled in mystery. The Joker usually judges the trials and announces for them too, since they are held in front of large crowds of members of the society. However, he is said to do the dirty work of the Ace of the Tea Party. Or perhapse he is secretly against him, plotting and hatching his own schemes.

Now that I set that up, here's the actual story: Three and Valentino, a strange pair of a thirteen-year-old (three) and a thirty-year-old (valentino) and perhapse I will add another character, are giving their all to get into the Society of Alice and serve in the ranks. Three wants that because he has heard tales of the Alices causing, stopping, and taking part of major historical events and wants to hurry off for... well, not glory. He wants to do good, with the optional side of glory. I guess. And Valentino, who's a bit of a goofball, feels like he needs to because his older sister took the test and died in the Trials just before the final judging, so it would be in her honor. So far that is all I have.

I think I will add a third character, (either a girl or some gender nutreal character) but I have not developed them at all yet.

Please tell me what you think about this idea, and if you think this could be turned into something cool.
