Do you look before you leap?

Or leap before you look?

I look

and look

and look

and then

I decide against leaping.

Someone has given me a push.

I guess I'm

I do hope there's a

Trampoline or some feather

Matresses there

To break

Heelloo there my friend. It seemed like you needed a bit of encouragement. I may or may not have decieded your course for you. Don't get mad. It was just a small

Anyhow, it looks like it's time for me to plan my trajectory. Watch as I fearlessly

If a girl was standing here...

That is, instead of being accused of doing something maybe right, maybe wrong

then she would have said that a nudge makes someone trip

they trip and hit the ground

they hit the ground and scream

and that scream leads to rage

and that rage haunts you.

but you seem to be ok

fearlessness is what you always need when jumping

two lie on the ground now.

time for me to enter

It doesn’t matter whowhatwhenwherewhy

This is a trial

6 defendants

With no witnesses

but each other

No lawyers

but bits and pieces of the truth

But there is a judge

And that is me

there is a jury

and that is all of you

(more can still come)

make the decision

once the stories are told

Is there a bottom?

Do you trust me?

Will you trust me?

The Abyss

two places you always go

but never reach

for then you know

and you open your eyes

to see me standing before you

who am i

how am i

who cares?

6 people shall soon tell what happened

you shall decide who was right

Forever falling

Forever lost

Forever broken

Forever feeling the cost.

Forever alone

With this hole

Should I jump?

Should I not?

My previous decisions have long been an afterthought

as I step closer

To the beckoning abyss

It whispers

"follow me"

"chase me"

"Become me"

I can't breathe

There is always one

in the hole

but most of the time

there are more

we have four

the cautious

who might

have not wanted this

but someone always gets in against their will

then the fearless

who isn’t

afraid to jump

One is always

willing to come

then there is the one

who ponders the unknown

but still steps into

a world she begins to roam

Finally there is the one

always staring at a hole

into which they wish to jump

and those are the ones I welcome most

for their mistakes

have shattered them

but from those shards

someone can be pierced together

who knows the pain those who stand on trial have felt.

Welcome to my game

But for everyone else it is reality.

gazing, into the black

into the dark

into a hole

wondering, if I should try

if I should jump

if I should fall

frozen, glued to the ground

legs locked down

unable to move

fear, gripping and cold

grasping me now

i’m in it’s hold

staring, into an abyss

an eternal night

an unknown fate

thinking, maybe i should

maybe i shouldn’t

maybe i will

everyone always says

they're scared

they say that

but they come in

and sometimes

they're only scared

they'll awaken again

(yet when they do)

it is into a land

unlike any other

submitted by Hanging Crown Veil

the hole beckons,

bottomless (for now)

i know there must be something down there

i have seen the others fall.

the hole beckons,

whispering promises of adventure,

of story

so when i jump

(a little off-center,

but i don't hit the side like i thought i would,

arms suddenly thrown above my head

by the force of gravity;

they go up

as i fall down)

i look down first

my eyes have not adjusted

but if i squint

i can see shapes, moving

(are they falling still?)

but then i look

and i still see a hole

(this one light instead of dark

and shrinking fast)

Am I the last? (idk whether that's in the poem or not)

My eyes closed, unwilling to open. The hole was still empty, no one had answered my cry yet.

A slight movement came from one of the Six. I sighed, moving to look.

The first one sat still, silently crying. The pain in her voice, it made my heart ache. This is why I recruit others.

The second met my eyes with an armored pain. Nothing could budge her. I didn’t bother to try.

The third however, had pure fire in her eyes. I knew she was going to be trouble.

“Please…it will be over soon.” I begged. At least I hope.

The fourth was a rare case. Pure fire was the only thing I saw in her. Fire because she would keep defending herself.

Someone fall. Someone help.

The fifth might as well have been sleeping. Her eyes were closed in an expression of complete peace. Confident and unmoving.

And finally, a growl from the sixth. She was a wildcat. I wouldn’t even try.

The call has been sent. This should be over soon enough.

Wait-there! Someone, cautiously looking. They seem to step away...and then suddenly get pushed into the hole.

Tumbling, falling, screaming…

No time to be an artist here. The words flow out, creating a gentle pillow for them to hit. Hmm...not my finest work. But the words are soft enough.

Now then, what’s their name?

Spring Flower.

Lovely. Someone else should be coming soon.

Indeed, another one comes, jumping without hesitation.

Red tailed panda.

Well, this shall be interesting.

They’re coming fast now. Another, hesitantly stepping in.

And...oh. There, looking. Considering.

Come on.

Come in.

Falling down.

And...another. Slightly scared, but jumping nonetheless.

Just one more

Shy Peacock

It’s time to reveal myself.

All you see is a midnight cape covering a seemingly genderless build. A veil covers my face, hanging from a silver crown.

“Welcome. Megumi Puella will now present her side of the story.”

Shy peacock

and me.

Untill we are not

I can't look at them

not yet

Instead I survey the veiled entity

and the six girls.

One sorrowed.

One pained.

One raging.

One determined.

One calm.

And one feral.

They are like me in some ways,

except they feel emotion

and I
