So. I'm writing

So. I'm writing a book. I'm gonna post what i've got so far on here, though after this it's gonna get even darker and probably too gory for the CB. (If it's not already, admins, feel free to tone it down or even edit parts out if you want.) The book is called the Diamondlord Chronicles vol. 1: Wrath. Alright, here 'tis!

Part One Prologue,

'Hide,'  is what Eveline`s parents told her. 'Hide, while we answer the door.' Eveline hid the best she could, but she managed to peek out of the closet she was hiding in. Her parents opened the door to a platoon of soldiers, all holding guns, and led by a man adorned with robes and a jeweled gold circlet. "Lord Diamas" said Eveline's mother, "To what do we owe the pleasure?" "To the fact that you have been periodically helping and providing vital information to the Rebels." Diamas said coldly. "And for that, you have been sentenced to execution." he waved a hand, and the soldiers dragged Eveline's parents away. And then, as she came out of the closet, as she was crying, a hand reached down and touched her shoulder. Eveline shrieked, and the owner of the hand jumped back, saying "hey, there, I won't hurt you!" it was a young woman, with long, flowing white hair that grew to her waist. "i just want to help!" Eveline snarled, "How?!? my parents are dead!!!" "yes," the woman said, "but i can help you avenge them." Eveline seemed to wake out of her grief and suddenly  grinned, deadly rage in her voice as she said, "I would have done it anyway, but you can help." She took  a down the sword of her father's that had always lain on the mantelpiece, slashed it a few times, grinned, and walked out of the house. The woman followed.

Part One

Beatrix strode toward the meeting room, cloak swirling, spiked armour clanking. Beatrix was Diamondlord Diamas`s second knight, bested only by the Silver Wolf and the Diamondlord himself. She was also a 203rd-class diplomat, but she didn't talk about that. Today the Diamondlord had "asked" her to come to a meeting, most likely to order her to kill Alaran Infferno, the leader of the ROFS -the Republic of Free Souls-, a rebellion of vicious outlaws who would do anything for money... as long as it didn't benefit the Diamondlord. she slammed open the door, bowed respectfully to the Diamondlord, took off her glove, and sliced open her thumb, letting her blood fall into a small brass dish. The Diamondlord did the same, let their blood in the dish mix together, and began to speak, his voice deep and mighty as it boomed from behind his diamond encrusted black coyote mask "for hundreds of years, our world has been a place of peace, discipline, and prosperity, but there are some who wouldst destroy that peace, plunge us into Chaos, and bleed us dry of our resources. And yesterday, this almost became reality, for I was attacked. Luckily, my squadron of elite guards managed to fight them off. The culprits were captured and executed, except for 14 year old Eveline Darrk. Red Hawk, i want you to... eliminate her. Do you accept this assignment?" "Yes, my lord." Beatrix -or Red Hawk- replied "and i will stalk my enemy until either I or she  has been killed." "Then you are bound with this oath. nothing may stop your path of destruction until your enemy is dead. now, on to slightly less pressing matters. Beatrix has reached the same level of skill as the Silver Wolf, and by our laws, there can only be one first knight in diimond, and so, she and the Silver Wolf must fight to the death." there were gasps from the audience as a long walkway descended the floor, leading the way to a large ornate door that everyone knew led to the arena. everyone filed toward it, knowing that the battle would not be a small one. Once in the arena, the Silver Wolf and the Red Hawk bowed and began to circle each other, their swords at the ready, then a loud crashing noise as Beatrix leaped at the Wolf, who dodged out of the way, grabbed a pistol out of a holster on his waist and fired, the noise echoing as the bullet sliced through Beatrix's cloak as she dodged.

then rapidly she twirled and slashed at the Silver Wolf, who dived out of the way and yelled "Sloppy, Red Hawk, I taught you better than that! COME AT ME!" she snarled, and obeyed his command, her dual blades swirling, clashing, dancing against his greatsword, forcing him back, and, with a massive swing of his sword he forced her to leap out of the way, she drew a pistol from her belt, fired it at him. thrice the bullets clanged against his helmet, leaving dents around the eye holes. she leaped at him, trapped his sword in a cross with her own swords, leaped past him . . . . It was an unwritten law in diimond that when the Diamondlord's top knights (who all had codenames) died, their identities would be revealed. usually the dead knight's identity was no surprise, and Beatrix had assumed that it would be no different this time. but the revelation took her breath away. It was her father. She had killed her own father. The one who had always looked out for her, helped her, guided her, loved her. And now his blood was seeping out onto the sawdust floor from a wound that her sword had given him. she knew that people were clapping, but all was drowned out by the roaring in her ears. as she walked swiftly out of the room, lightheaded, she caught a glimpse of the Diamondlord, who seemed to be... was he smiling? she dismissed the rebellious thought. He couldn't be. But the thought lodged in a corner of her mind, digging sharp claws of doubt into her armor of loyalty to the Diamondlord.
