The Queen

Chatterbox: Inkwell

The Queen

The Queen

Her every step

Excites them all

From butchers big

To sisters small

A glorious gown

Of velvet and silk,

With satin sashes

As white as milk.

A mine of jewels

Rest ‘pon her head

And underneath

There lay a bed

Of luscious brown,

Down to her back,

Tamed to perfection

With fancy knick-knacks,

Her strutting stops,

As she starts to speak,

Her words cast hope

To the brave and the meek

What beauty! What character!

Such a glint in her eyes!

Her arrival is always

A pleasant surprise!

This is the first poem I've ever posted on chatterbox! It's relatively old, but I spent a lot of time on it and hope ya'll like it!
