The dark spire
The dark spire pricks the descending clouds, gray clouds filled with rain.
You shiver as the icy rain hits your bare, pale skin. The black palace frightens you, and you do not want to go nearer, but you need shelter.
The polished walls of the castle gleam in the lightning's burst, black walls of an unknown stone. The high gates are forbidding, guarded by something...........you can't tell exactly what.
Dark red eyes gleam in sets of eight, their expression impossible to interpret. The towers and turrets rise terribly behind them; this is no place for a weakling. A human.
It's best to run.
Ash flies on the cold wind.
