OK, this is just something I'm curious about. There's no guarantee I'll really go anywhere with it but could you just tell me if this scenario is possible (or all right, period):

Someone makes a thread. People comment about the thread, like any normal one, but, at a given time, [they ask Admins to] delete all the former comments. Then, eventually, the thread may or may not be started up again.

I ask this because sometimes threads get filled up with a bunch of excess comments which aren't really necessary AND can make the thread a little tiresome to . . .participate in. Also I had a bit of an idea which involves using a thread often, which I may or may not do, depending on your answer.

So: would the thingy I talked about be OK or would it be too much work for you guys? Or impossible? Just curious. :)

There would be no fair way to determine which comments to delete and which to leave, and it would be way too time-consuming for us. I do understand what you're saying. While we do encourage open discussion, it might be a good idea to remind people to not submit extraneous comments in the midst of a story.

OK! I was just curious. Thank you. :) My idea would technically still work without..........what I talked about
