NEW SUPERPOWERS ROLEPLAY
well, i would have just joined another rp but they arent as active as i like.
so im starting my own.
hopefully.
i'm not the best rp starter, so i could use a hand.
This rp is for characters with superpowers. you can be a hero or a villain or neutral or whatever, as long as you follow a few rules.
1. your super must be a human, or humanoid at least, even if it can shapeshift, which is fine.
2. your super can have virtually any powers, within reason. for example, though your super may be impervious to bullets, or fire, it cannot be invincible. it must have a weakness.
3. you must create a bio, or description, of your character.
4. your bio must include the following: name, secret identity(optional), age, gender, appearance, personality, power(s), strengths, weaknesses, background(optional), and anything else you want to add.
MY CHARACTER:
name: Hailee
secret identity: Shadow Runner
age: 17 years
gender: girl
appearance: she always wears a black bodysuit, black gloves with needle-sharp claws poking through, boots, a black ninja-type mask, and a thin semi-transparent piece of fabric covering her eyes. thus, when you look at her, she is all black. underneath, her skin is covered in aqua-blue scales, her eyes are vivid icy blue, and she has sharp fangs. she painted her claws black to match her suit. these characteristics make her seem more reptile than human, but she wasnt always this way.
personality: meet her
powers: can shapeshift into any reptile, including the mythical ones. if she bites someone, her fangs deliver venom. she can dissolve into shadow.
strengths: shadow form is more difficult to defeat.
weaknesses: venom does not kill, only makes the victim weak and nauseas for a few moments, enough for her to escape. shadow form does not work in sunlight.
background: when she was twelve, she was bittin by a radioactive cobra, recieving her powers, and soon after was taken to a lab and experimented on, the results being her appearance, and amnesia.

Stealth spider~
I land with a soft thud in a three point landing. "Darn webs!" Suddenly some graffiti on a wall catches my eye. It says: Evil rising, supers needed. Below it says where to meet, a time, and a list of names. A chill goes down my spine as I read my name. "How is it possible that they know my name?" As I climb up the apartment wall to my bedroom window I decide that I'll be going to the meeting tonight, at midnight

As I pull my mask over my face I realize I might be walking into a trap. For extra measure I put some web grenades into my backpack an d sling it over my shoulder. Then, I jump out the window.

Ah. That's what I missed. Gotcha. Also, I'm doing the 'wrong roof' thing because I've read Hailee's powers, and none of them would have been able to detect Caelonia.

I did know M-C would be a poor disguise; I didn't intend to go completely unknown. However, Hailee had looked at the wrong roof. I'm on the other side of the alley.
"I know this... Because I work with the villains." Silence ensues while I, up on the roof, inspect my fingers. I had guessed that this Hailee was a villain herself. At my silent command, My clone laughs and stands, having sat.
"Metalshade guessed as much. You have made quite a few mistakes to tell us that. Allow me to elaborate upon the most telling sign." M-C points to the graffiti. "Graffiti art is illegal, but a villain or one who was in legue with villains would be unsensitized to this." M-C smiles sweetly. "Now, if you'll all excuse me-" Then, M-C suddenly melts and becomes a molten puddle, engulfing and incinerating the uniform. While the others watch with mixed emotions, I prepare to make my entrance. The puddle disappears quickly without a trace. Slowly, I lift my hand, positioning my fingers to snap. As soon as Hailee puts a hand on her hips, I snap loudly. A metal pole bolts up from the ground, almost impaling Hailee. Without hesitation, I jump onto it, grabbing it securely and gracefully with one hand and my ankles. My momentum causes me to spin, but it just adds to the flair of my appearance. The metal designs on my uniform against the pole make the satisfying sound of a blade being sharpened. I land lightly, facing Hailee. The pole seemingly retracts into the ground, but the earth underneath shows no sign of disturbance.
"You looked to the wrong roof." I shrug. "But that is of no consequence. Now. I do not care much that you are working with the villains, myself being the neutral side of good."
"So you are on the side of angels, but not for a second one of them." Somebody offers. I do not turn my gaze from Hailee.
"Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, via Sherlock Holmes. Correct." I reply. "Hailee, what reason do you have for bringing us here tonight if it is not to dispose of us?" I smile, but they can't see that through my mask.

So the way Caelonia talks is leaning on the intimidating side of indifferent, I guess. :)

"I know this...because I work with the villains." Any trust I once had towards Hailee vanishes and I find myself pointing the bow at head.
The Metalshade clone smiles sweetly. "Metalshade guessed as much." It goes on to explain some of its reasoning . "Now, if you'll all excuse me--" The clone melts into a puddlw. Poe's aura turns the pale green color of fear, while Hailee's turns orange--annoyance.
A pole suddenly shoots from the ground. Hailee has to leap backwards quickly so that it doesn't impale her. Caelonia slides down the pole gracefully and lands rather dramatically. The pole vanishes back into the ground.
"You looked to the wrong roof," She says. As she speaks, I begin to like her more and more. "But that is of no consequence. Now. I do not care much that you are working with the villains, myself being the neutral side of good."

"Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, via Sherlock Holmes. Correct." She replies , without turning her gaze from Hailee. "Hailee what reason do you have for bringing us here tonight if it is not to dispose of us?" Metalshade's aura turns a strong , glowing lime green. Triumphant and smiling. On top of everything. Which she is. But there's also flecks of grey, meaning she's still cautious and prepared for anything.
"You'll want to hurry with you answer," I say sharply . "Because I'm very tempted to let this arrow strike you in the head."
Metalshade shifts her head just slightly towards mine, and gold flecks appear in her aura. Admirance.

I feel like Caelonia and Jelina would make good friends, since Caelonia is very serious and Jelina is a little more joking, and they both have sort of a dramatic flair and similar style with dealing with things. Is that okay Rogue?

I huff. "First of all, i can't take on this many supers alone. Thats not flattery, its just true. I am one of the more powerful members of Slayer and The Boss's group, but i'm not that good. I would've had to bring Slayer or even Boss himself, and they would've attacked as soon as you were all here." I pause. "Its really weird to be talking to someone who's mask also covers their entire face."
Caelonia doesn's seem inclined to let me change the subject. "Keep talking, Hailee."
"Fine. I'm also one of the supers who lives full-time at the hideout, and when i left earlier tonight to come to the meeting, i told Boss that if you guys trusted me, i would organize another meeting tomorrow night at the old warehouse downtown, where we would quote-on-quote, 'get rid of you'. As far as i know, they trust me completely, so if i tell them that you'll be there, they'll be there too. They're already outnumbered as it stands, and if you guys attack them with me, with extensive knowledge of them, we stand a chance. I'm hoping that while we are fighting, one or two people could sneak over to villain HQ, and sabotage Boss's chemicals."
I stop and take a breath, hoping they believe me. A sudden thought occures, and i wonder if one of them will ask me to take off my mask.

I jumped over a building and landed into an ally. There is a group of people surrounding a figure clothed entirely in black . I silently slip off my backpack and pick out a web grenade. Then I carefully climb up the wall and towards the group of what I think, is supers. I drop softly to the ground and start to creep towards them when a sudden crash sounds behind me and I go into a fighting stance. The person clad in black growls "Who are you?!" to the figure who is now standing up "I'm... night sniper, and you are?"After they talk for awhile, the person who I now know to be shadow runner turns to me "I'm st-" but she cuts me off and says "I know who you are, are you here for the meeting?" "Yes." I say "then lets begin."

Hailee explained to everyone that The Boss and the Slayer teamed up to make an army. They've created a special syrum that can copy a super's powers. And then Metalshade showed up and makes a dramatic entrance.

I don't lower my bow, but I relax the arrow.
"Hm. Fine. Who would be going to the HQ?" I say.
"You and Metalshade. You're the best at sneaking, and Metalshade can create a clone," Hailee says.
"How many villains are there in the Boss's group?" Someone from the crowd behind me asks.
"He'll probably just take a few others with him to the meeting. But there will be very many soldiers and villains at the headquarters." Hailee says. "Can you please lower the bow, Jelina?"
"Oh, fine," I say in an amused voice, lowering my bow.
" Wait. I want to know who we're actually talking to. Hailee, take off your mask, " Poe says.
Hailee seems to freeze up for a moment. Tiny, tiny flecks of pale green appear in her aura.
Nervousness.

After a moment, I stepped out from a gray shadow.
"You know," I said with a fake dark voice, "kids your ages shouldnt be out this late unchaperoned."
The super-kids back away, cought in surprise and quickly jump in their fighting stances. Its good to know they are on their feet.
"Who are you?" growls one among the crowd of spandex clad supers. I put my hands up.
"Hey, hey. Cool it kid. My name is Mr. Johnson- or Mirage." They look at me sceptically. "Why are you here?" One in black says shrewdly.
"Lets face it. Your a bunch of moody teens who needs to be a coherent team. Those two things dont mix."
"What the heck?" someone says. "Hailee is he on our side?"
"Look, Im here to be your chaperone. Thats it. No more, no less. You can trust me!"

Sybill, i don't mean to contradict you but there arent that many people with the villains, so i'm going to backtrack a few sentences and redo it. i'll get it as close to what you said as possible.

"How many villains are there in The Boss's group?" Someone asks.
"Well, let me see." I murmer. I tick the names off on my fingers. "Mist, Avechventa, Copycat, and Slayer and Boss of course, and me, but i don't really count. There's also a considerable number of random thugs who're following him because he's promised to make them supervillains. Boss'll probably take most of the supers with him and leave just one or maybe two to guard HQ, along with a bunch of the thugs, but he'd also take a lot of them with him to distract us. Jelina, lower the bow please."
"Oh, fine." She says, and lowers her weapon.
"Wait. I want to know who we're actually talking to." Someone says. I think its Poe. "Hailee, take off your mask." I freeze.
"Are you sure?" The question comes out of my mouth in a squeak.
"Yes."
I knew the question would come eventually, but it doesn't make it any easier to pull my hood back and tug my face mask down. A mane of hazel hair casades over my shoulders, but that's not the reason the entire crowd goes still. My skin is covered in hard blue scales, and i have sharp snakelike fangs instead of teeth. I unconciously raise my hand to my face and feel my reptilian claws scrape my scales. My eyes are the only things that still appear human, still the bright blue of the childhood i don't remember. Not even the villains know my appearance. My mind goes blank, and i struggle with the temptation to dissolve into shadow and hide my reptilian nature. I'm starting to tremble as i wait for someone in the group to react.

I'm not usually out this late; well, I'm not usually out this late without my mask. Dad won't be back for a while, some meeting needs him--so I'm left to myself. Yay. I, I deserve powers, but I somehow deserve this?
I take out my pocket book, scribbling down the names of a few storefronts I pass until I reach an empty space, the doors lacking any professional signs, the walls covered in bright graffiti. I see a whale, countless names, and scrawling handwriting.
I flip to another page in my pocket book, studying a sketched map of the city. Through this alley, I might be able to cut a bit to the hotel room-wait. Someone's talking.
I skip a page filled with quotes and put a pencil to the next. A midnight meeting in an alleyway... I begin writing, praying I can keep out of sight.

Yeah, Jelina has the power to see auras. Auras are basically a colored outline of a person that represents their emotions and feelings.

"Are you sure?" Hailee asks , in a mouse-like squeak.
"Yes."
She takes a deep breath and removes her mask. Her skin--it's covered in scales!
"Whoa--okay--" I say, trying to think up some witty comment. But for once, I am too surprised to find the words.
And then we are interrupted by a man looking to be in his early thirties. Fortunately, Hailee is turned away from him, so he cannot see her face.
"You know," He says in what I take as a mocking tone, " Kids your age shouldn't be out this late unsupervised. "
We jump to our feet. Metalshade, Phoenix and I stand close together, hiding Hailee behind us. I quickly stary thinking up something to distract him.
"Who are you?" Someone behind me says angrily.
He puts his hands up. "Hey, hey. Cool it kid. My name is Mr. Johnson --or Mirage." I give him an annoyed , skeptical look.
"Why are you here?" I say.
"Let's face it. You're a bunch of moody teens who need to be a coherent team. Those two things don't mix," He says.
"What the heck?" Someone bursts. " Hailee, is he on our side? "
"Look I'm here to be your chaperone," Mirage says. "That's it! No more, no less! You can trust me."
" Alright, alright. First of all, Johnny, I'm nineteen and live on my own, and I have an actual job--other than being a super, by the way, I work as a graphic designer --and also,have you been listening to us the entire time? Because that's kind of... Oh, I don't know--really weird and suspicious? "I say, hoping to distract his attention from the fact that we were clearly trying to hide Hailee.
