Historical Time Twister

Historical Time Twister RP!

So, right now I'm writing a story where the children of various well know historical figures are taken out of their respectuve time periods and thrown together into a task force of sorts.  What they're up against, and what happens in literally any other part of the story, I have no clue.  So, I thought maybe I could create an RP with the same basic premise, and maybe get some inspiration from you guys!

More In Depth Basic Premise:  Your character, whoever they may be, is simply going about their day to day life when, out of nowhere, they are confronted by a stranger.  This stranger, through various means, instructs your character to be on their roof that night.  They also say 'Be ready.'  The catch?  The stranger is clearly your own character, but 5ish years older.  Your character does as instructed, and wakes up...  In their own bedroom.  After exploring around to be sure the encounter wasn't a dream, they open the doors and find themselves staring into a massive circular room with doors ringing the walls.  One by one, more people emerge from the doors, and together they realize that there is no way they are all from the same time.

Here's the sheet, with my charrie in it.

Name: James Parker-Barrow

Parents, and backstory if you want to clarify: Bonnie and Clyde

Native Time Period: 1930's

Age: 16

Appearance: Average height, short, curly brown hair, brown eyes.  Wears an old grey newsboy cap that was his dad's with a matching grey suit vest, white shirt, and black pants.  Has very shiny black dress boots.

Personality: James's aunt brought him up for her late sister in a very small town where everyome knew his parents' story.  James was a big handful for his aunt, so the townspeople didn't want to make her feel bad by telling her about all the bad things (mainly just stealing stuff) he'd done around town, so he pretty much got away with it all.  He's reckless, and stubborn, and rude, but it really comes from the fact that the only people that he's ever seen truely in love were his parents, and they died, so he's kind of afraid that if he would love someone/lets someone love him they'll get hurt.  That's also why he steals.

Any Other Fun Facts: He's colorblind!

Any villian/plot ideas you have: Help me please I have 0 (zero) ideas

So....  Yeah!  I'm excited to start!  I do kinda wanna keep this small, so maybe, four or five people (excluding myself)?

P.S. As of now I don't really have any means or wants to get my personal story published, but if you wouldn't want your ideas within my story for any reason, just let me know!  If my story were to be published I would of course cite all you guys for your ideas.

Name: Adam DeCantri

Parents, and backstory if you want to clarify: Orphan chosen by an apothecary to be an apprentice

Native Time Period: 1658

Age: 16

Appearance: Adam is very scrawny and thin with bruises marrying his arms, legs and face. His hair is dirty blonde and constantly ruffled, with occasional streaks of ingredients running through it from when he runs his hands through his hair. Adam has ocean eyes with a bruise beneath his left eye. He wears an off-white short sleeved shirt and brown pants with black boots and a light blue apron that is stained with various ingredients and has many pockets containing said ingredients.

Personality: He is quite reserved and shy but if you choose to befriend him he will be one of the most sly, clever, curious, and kind people you will ever meet.

Any Fun Facts: Apothecary apprentice, carries around a Lazarus cube as a gift from his parents before they died, it has no cypher that anyone other than Jere knows about and he will be very elusive if you ask about “that weird little box you always have”

Any villain/plot ideas you have: Each kid has undiscovered little talents/bits of magic that were lost to time and the Villain wants to harvest those talents for their own purposes or maybe pit them against each other idk

Well, we don't really have a plot yet, so I don't know that we can start...

Yeah, it sounds like a good idea to have a bit more of a plot outline first, so that we know what the mysterious person will say to our character in the first scene.

I'm still kinda basking in the new glow of summer vacation, so I haven't been in the mood to think about anything, but I will tomorrow and try to have some plot ideas.

Yeah, me too. Sorry to whoever wants us to start right now.

I don't want to be the one to start because I don't have a clear idea of the plot/story outline at all.

Here's an idea I have, not sure if I like it so much so feel free to weigh in with what you think.

What if our characters were brought together only briefly at first, to be warned that someone is about to attempt majorly changing history in each of our times (although isn't it possible that the future people would know what happened? I guess like people have been saying it depends on the kind of universe, maybe there's just instant change whenever the past changes. But then are they all from different parallel universes? How could they be from different times in the same one? I guess it's that crazy When You Reach Me stuff of how all moments are happening, but we're just moving in a certain way through them? and maybe in their time everything has worked out because we know it will in the end but they're trying to make sure it still works out, like a Prisoner of Azkaban type thing.) ANYWAY, what if they're brought together briefly, but given a way to come back every time they need help? Then, one by one, each person's time is attacked and they all get to go visit that person's time to help them out.

Most of that was just me trying to understand time travel, but you get the idea. It's not much of a plot idea but it is sort of a structure idea, at least.

Hi! I know I'm a little late to this and it's totally okay if you say no. But you said you wanted 4-5 people to join, and by my count (which could be wrong) you have 4 right now. Would you mind if I joined? This looks like a really fun and interesting RP :)

Hi guys!!! I am so, so supremely sorry for abondoning you all like that.  I though that I would have more time to work on this in the evenings, but I have been completely swamped.  I have one more busy week, but then I'll have a lot more time to be here.  Anyway, let's try to get a plot together!

I really like Darkking's idea of each of our charries having a bit of magic, so I wonder if we could maybe combine it with the Hunger Games idea?  Like, have the Organization be taking kids out of their timeline to keep them safe, and then our charries deciding to infultrate the Games (which are held by the villian to try and build and army or something)?

Applejaguar's idea is super cool too, so that could be another option.  Maybe we take until, say, Thursday or Friday to decide which we like better?  And then we can all decide for good and get started.

@Sunflower, you're welcome to join!  Any ideas you have would be appriciated!

OOH OOH OOHh I think I had a better idea than my earlier one. What if they were all brought together because they're actually the most powerful kids in all of time, or at least the best equipped to deal with this particular villain? And then they all have to go to one point in time together to do it. I really like the idea of some organization looking to find the very best kids to deal with a particular thing. Maybe they have a certain connection? Maybe they all own the same object, like in Echo? I'm not sure because that still leaves a lot of plot details unclear, but maybe the kids are trying to figure out why they've been called too.

Oh yeah, and the magic thing totally works for the idea of them all having something special. Darkking's idea is also super cool, and I'm up for anything we decide.

I think all of these ideas are great. Honestly, I'd like to contribute but I have absolutely no ideas to expand upon these. I especially like the concept of them all having the same object or something like that, like Applejaguar said.

These all sound cool! I especially like the Hunger Games-ish one where our charries infiltrate the Games for the organization, and I think it'd be cool if the Games took place in an arena that's, like, not in any time... but then again it could also be cool if it was in a particular or various times.

I think Applejaguar's (first) idea could work too: the future people do know that everything's going to work out, they just don't know how it works out.

Name: Margaret Carnegie

Parents: Andrew Carnegie and Louise Whitfield Carnegie

Native Time Period: 1910s

Age: 16

Appearance: Margaret is average height, around 5'4" (judging by pictures). She dresses in a stuffy fashion, with high collars, fancy hats, long coats, and plenty of bows. Her hair is long, dark, and often held back in some manner or another. None of her pictures are in color, so I'm not sure about her eyes, but I'll say blue like her father's. She's white.

Personality: (I'm making this up, Google gave me nothing.) Margaret has been raised to be a prim and proper lady and that's exactly what she is. As heiress to the Carnegie fortune, she's painfully aware of her actions at all times, and what their ramifications could be. She's very polite to everyone she meets and will always do her best to preserve the family name, but she often comes across as condescending or patronizing instead (because that's exactly what she is). Her father's word is gospel, and she's a regular Draco Malfoy when it comes to flaunting her family's power. However, she's not heartless; she does care about other people, and makes honest attempts to get along with them. It's just that living in the limelight, while simultaneously in her father's shadow, means that she's not very good at it - and she talks a little bigger than she really thinks she is.

Fun Fact: My fun fact is that no one cares about Margaret. xD There's nothing on her. I will say that if you're unfamiliar with the Carnegies, she ended up not recieving her father's fortune, as he gave away most of it to charity. The only thing she inhereted was money that went into living comfortably, and, of course, the family name.

Any Villain/Plot Ideas You Have: What if the Games were created by the villain in order to knock out our characters before they're able to do anything to defeat the villain? I really like the idea of having an item or power that the villain can use to track our characters down. From there, they could somehow overpower the Games and come together to defeat the villain. Not in any time could be a cool location for the arena; I also liked the idea of it being in the (our) future, where perhaps the villain is too.
