I'm gonna try

Chatterbox: Inkwell

I'm gonna try

I'm gonna try to start a dragon rp, just to see if I can. Well, not really, I actually want this to work. So lets see if I can actually pull this off.

________________________________________________________________________

Once, there were two dragon tribes.

The SkyTribe.

And the SeaTribe.

The SkyTribe dragons had huge wings, made for flying, and they made their homes on land. The SeaTribe dragons had slightly smaller wings, strong, powerful legs with webbed paws, and gills, and they lived in the rivers and seas. The two tribes occasionally fought, but, without much in common, they didn't have much to fight about, and kept to their respective homes.

But then.......
Several young dragonlets were hatched, and were soon discovered to be half-tribe: half SkyTribe, half SeaTribe. These dragonlets had traits from both tribes, but instead of being a reason for the two tribes to draw together, they beacame a reason for war.

The tribes have now fought for four years, and the dragonlets, now young adult dragons, are starting to realize that they might possibly have a say in this war.

But in order for them to get the attention of the tribe leaders, and stop the war, the young dragons must come together and journey to SkeaTribe clearing, where the tribes must meet for a truce at the new moon. This is the only way to end the war, but the young dragons must also get along, for if they are not united during the new moon, their mission will fail.

Here's the charrie sheet:

General body shape-
Horns-
Claws-
Placement of gills-
Any other adornments-

Abilities/powers:

Your charries are all four years old, so young adults, and, important to mention, they all have gills.

Also, the first two people to claim the position of tribe leader, may also roleplay as the king or queen of either tribe.

Also, you can roleplay up to two of the special young dragons, and the spots will be filled once we have fourteen characters, not CBers, characters, other than mine. I claim the fiveteenth and sixteenth charries.

I can't remember if I missed anything, so feel free to ask questions, and I will post my charries when this pops up.

Seabreeze

When I opened my eyes, I was in a place of wonders. The floors and walls were covered with purple crystals. All polished, the crystals emitted a soft glow. I walked around, astonished on what I was seeing. Soon, a bright light came from above, and I looked up. It was a large hole, with crystals that laid flat circling around it. Is that the sun? I thought. Is this the exit to this wonderful cave? I never wanted to leave, but I was compelled to fly up to the light. Then as soon as I was about to fly through, the room went black. All I could see is red eyes and the creature the eyes belonged too growled. Then it attacked me.

I immediately woke up, and instead of a crystal cavern, I was in a murky stone cave, with drips coming from the ceiling. It was extremely dark. I caught my breath and thought about the nightmare. Then from under my wings, I felt a cool touch, and lifted my wings to find a small blue crystal.

I was surprised to say the least. I looked around to see how the crystal could have gotten there. Then I touched it with my claw, and it glowed a little. I could feel a connection between me and this strange crystal. I knew this was important. I grabbed it and headed for a safe exit.

(Also, I honestly have no plans for the dream might mean, so you guys can make your own reasons for the things in it. Whether the dream is extremely crucial or not, you guys can decide that too.)

Rahn~

I dangle under Bloodshredder, trying my best to break his neck, but I'm not in the right place. Instead, I reach back with my hind legs and claw long gashes in his underbelly. But to my surprise, he doesn't bleed. Instead of blood, a strange oily mix spills out. Above me, Ryn attacks him as well, and I hear her gasp of shock as Bloodshredder bleeds the strange oil.

~~~
Sorry this is so short, but I'm busy and I also wantedto give Rogue a chance to play Ryn in this bit. Make sense?
Ryn~
The audience gasps and roars in surprise at Bloodshredder's lack of blood. Suddenly, his surname makes sense. He has no blood. Bloodshredder himself seems surprised, staring down at his oily secretions. Conflict flickers in his eyes. Royal guards swoop in, carrying off the red and gold dragonlet to the balcony. I continue to tear at my adversary's body, but he does not attack. Is this the first time he's bled? Then, with a wail that splits the air, Bloodshredder collapses. I jump down from his shoulders. His mouth moves, uttering his last words.
"I thought I was real..." His pale eyes go completely blank. Silence. I look up at the Queen, who snarls. She whispers something to the announcer. Wetting his lips and with shaking knees, the dragon bellows the next match.
"Bonus match, ladies and gentlemen! The two dragonlets that slayed our Champion: Ryn Half-Tribe, the new Champion of the Sky, and Rahn Half-Tribe, her apparent accomplice," he hisses the last three words out in disgust. Rahn? A nice name. I think to myself. A nice dragon, too. Unwittingly, I smile. The announcer continues, "Against two Terrormonger Serpents!" The audience roars in delight. A royal guard drops Rahn back into the arena. Two cages, each covered with cloth, lower into the arena. Hissing and clanging eminates from them, and the cloths are whipped away. A sheen around the edges of the arena betrayes a force feild.
~
So the Serpents are like twenty feet long and three feet in diameter. They're rather eel-like and have pale grey skin, which is leathery with the minuteness of the scales. They have no eyes, huge, gaping jaws with blood-red flesh and black teeth. Fleshy appendages make a sparse mane on the neck, and the Serpent's main weapon is a gas they breathe. The gas is streamline and disappears after about thirty seconds, but if it hits a living thing, it paralyzes a small area where it hit. The Serpents can breathe this gas continually.
Rahn~
I glare at the guard that was pushing me around, and then turn my attention to the sepernts, who are thrashing around, eager to fight.
"I'm kinda thinking that I want to escape." I say out of the corner of my mouth. Ryn nods. "I have powers that might be able to incapitate the serpents, but I wouldn't be able to get through the force field, do you have any powers like that?" She stares at me, and I realize that she probably wouldn't want to confide her powers to a total stranger. "Okay I'll go first," I continue. "I can give a nonfatal electric shock, and I can breathe both ice and a superheated bluefire that can instantly incinerate almost anything except dragon scales." Ryn looks at me.
"I can distort reality," she says, "but I'm not very good at turning it back."
"Well, can you reality-distort that forcefield away?" I ask, scanning the balconies for any other possible half-tribe dragonlets.
Ryn~
I shake my head, rattling my horns.
"That would be too abrupt. Every Sky dragon in the kingdom would be after us immediately." I nod to the audience. "I'll use my powers to tear the Serpents apart. It'll be easier, but we have to put on a good show, or else they'll suspect we're more powerful than they know." The cages screech as they're opened, and the serpents' mouths begin bleeding the heavy pre-attack gas they deploy. I jump around the head of one, clawing at it and making the rents that appear deeper and deeper, unnoticably making the cuts more deadly. The other serpent swings to attack me, shooting a beam of paralytic gas. I duck, but only too late. A patch over the joint of my wing freezes, and I can't move it well. I clamp down on the neck of the serpent I'm fighting just as Rahn barrels into the other. It hisses and lashes with its tail. Rahn barely jumps over it in time, and I leave the corpse of my opponent to help the dragonlet. With a bellow, I slash at the serpent, but it backs off and almost hits my in the face with a blast of its gas. Two of my wings are now paralyzed. Taking advantage of the opening, Rahn runs from the gas, shocking the serpent to get its attention.
"I've had enough of this!" I roar. I stomp a claw, and a pillar of sand shoots up, hitting the serpent and sending it into the Queen's balcony.
Sagebrush~
“Hey,” a voice echoed off of the walls. “Get up, you’re going to the arena.” Wait, what? “Mmph?!” Was the reply, from the awful muzzle. He actually got up, and led me down to the arena. The diamond-studded walls were glistening as we walked by. This was a very large palace. Then, for about 10 seconds, I was blinded. Just by the sun, of course. “I’ve had enough of this!” I heard a voice shout, and she stomped her foot, AND... A PILLAR OF SAND ROSE UP. “Mmmmmph,” was the only thing I could say. The guard reached over and yanked my muzzle off, “Here. Have fun.” I could feel my mouth! But he was laughing, a evil laugh. “And bringing to the ring, Sagebrush, Half-Tribe!” As I stepped out into the arena, I could hear people yelling, “She’s so small, she probably can’t kill a cardinal!” And, “We need to find her mommy! Oh, that’s right, SHE DOESN’T HAVE ONE!!!” Laughter erupted from the audience. I felt like crying. You can do this, a voice shot through my head. Yeah, I can! I thought. Walking out to the other dragonets, I opened my morning outh, and locked it in place. The larger dragonet just stared at me, as if I was harmless. A serpent came crashing down, right in front of us. I shot my venom at it’s eyes, and it was howling in pain. Unlocking my jaw, I said, “See, I can fend for myself.” A burning sensation ran all through me. “Look,” the audience was saying. Even the dragonets were gaping. “What is it?” I asked, fretting that they were judging me. “Your scales!” They said. “Huh?” I looked down at my talons, the ones that are usually aquamarine. They were yellow and red. “Oh, cool!” I said, looking at my tail, which was green and orange. “It’s back!” I said, smiling. “What’s back?” One of the dragonets asked. “My color changing gene!”
The serpents are eyeless, and that round was going to be the last one. XO Now we'll have to have ANOTHER round, even though Bloodshredder was supposed to be the last opponent for the day.
Hmm. Maybe the Queen could order like, Ryn and Rahn, against Keel and Sagebrush, bc none of them technically know Keel exists, and after they fight each other for a minute or two, they decide to try and break out or something? Also, I will be rping the SeaTribe Queen, unless someone else claims her before I can put her bio up.
Rogue Wilding, I know that you mentioned this stuff in your other posts, and yes, La’Crosse should have payed more attention to the posts and descriptions. But still, she’s only human. She can make mistakes. It sort of seems like you are being a bit harsh on her.
Best thing to do in this situation is to roll with the punches. Obviously the snakes can’t magically have eyes, but perhaps Sagebrush’s venom could hit the snake’s body, and that would damage it. And maybe the queen REALLY wanted to see someone on the dragonet side die, so she sent out someone else.
There is nothing wrong with criticism, but your comment came off as a bit rude to me. Let’s just compromise somehow and keep playing. Just try to have fun together guys.
I know that, Dusk. I will not "roll with the punches" Backing down to someone else's mistake is itself a bigger mistake. However, I do realize that my comment may have come off as rude. It was late in my time zone, the comment was rushed, I was already annoyed, and it had been a long day. I wasn't paying attention to my word choices, but the content of the comment was exactly what I meant. I just didn't have the mind to cushion it better. La'Crosse, I am sorry for my rash words, but next time, could you pay better attention to other people's posts and their charrie's personalities? You played Ryn staring at your charrie instead of focusing on surviving the arena. She would never have done that.
Rogue Wildering, I understand your frustration. I just didn’t want anyone’s feelings to get hurt or anything like that. The chatterbox is a place for positivity and for people to talk together peacefully. And I want it to stay that way.
Perhaps next time you get annoyed with something, you can go and calm down a bit before writing anything. I am not saying don’t criticize people, just criticize with a light air, like with what you just wrote. Otherwise it might get people’s feelings hurt.
And I understand my mistake now, too, about the rolling with the punches thing. Thanks for that btw, Rogue. I think that we were all somewhat in the wrong here, but everything is cleared up now.
Well, mostly cleared up.
La’Crosse, it seems the post here is a bit of a problem. Perhaps you can write up a new rp thing, being the same thing but with some edits? Or should you rewrite the thing altogether? It’s your call of course.
Who is La'crosse? Is it Void?
Here's the bio for the SeaTribe Queen. I'm gonna rp her, 'kay?
Name: Queen Splash
Gender: female
Personality: Splash is cruel and ruthless, in a different way than Scarlett. While Scarlett enjoys watching dragons fight to the death, Splash tortures them in a different way. I'll put it in the "other" section.
Appearance (bloop. Not half-tribe):
Appearance must include-
Back scales- shiny yellow-gold with purple flecks
Underbelly scales- a rosy coral pink
Eyes- neon-greenish, and they glow in the dark, or even just dim light, giving her a creepy appearance
General body shape- skinny, lithe and sleek
Horns- long and thin, curving from her forehead around her skull, and the points almost meet right at her throat. She had a sparkling blue sapphire set between the points.
Claws- glittering light purple, with light lime green webbing
Placement of gills- twin sets of gills curve over her cheeks, right below her eyes.
Wings- yellow with purple speckles
Any other adornments- she has small sapphires set between the scales over her spine, and also where her yellow and purple back scales meet her underbelly scales. She has long, sharp white teeth, and a pair of fangs that are longer than the rest.
Abilities/powers: BEEP BEEP BEEP she has no powers. But her abilities include being a very, very fast swimmer, and she also has a venomous bite with aminor venm that just makes you pass out for a bit and then feel very dizzy afterwards.
Shipping?: umm, she's married to Polyp, a former prince, but he can't really be king, so I don't know what title to give him. He is speckled blue and green all over.
Other: she has two daughters, princesses Coast and Spray. Coast is purple with blue underbelly scales, and Spray is green all over with a splattering of silver speckles along her left flank and wing.
Oh, right I just saw that I said I'd go into more detail on Queen Splash's personality. Splash cannot tolerate disobediance, or breaking of rules, and the punishments vary from a day in the dungeons, to torture until the victim dies of pain, but most SeaTribe dragons feel that the worst punishment is for Splash's soldiers, the only rank she trusts, to take their dragonlets. The common dragons don't know what she does with them, but the soldiers and higher ranks know that she forces them to work as slaves, and a few of them have to spend shifts chained to a chandelier in the throne room, using their bioluminescent scales to light it. If the Queen gets the special dragonlets, they will probably end up as her slaves unless they are perfectly behaved, I guess. Splash believes that her subjects have complete loyalty to her, but most of the commoners, soldiers, and even Polyp believe that Splash should be overtrown and one of her daughters, strong Coast, or gentle Spray, should be queen.
