Chatterbox: Inkwell

One week ago,

One week ago, a messenger from the king arrived at your home. The messenger stayed just long enough to thrust a package into your hand. Then he rode off. When you opened the package there were three things inside. A small, heavy mirror, and a gold pin with a blue stone in it. Stuffed into the top, as if it had been pushed hastily inside was a letter. When you open the letter, it's blank, except for one hastily scrawled line at the very top.

Ask for Kera at the castle within a fortnight or you will

you cannot tell what the end of the letter says, because it is a blur of ink.

Here are the rules.

Only ten CBrs can join, because I can't keep track of anyone else.
Fill out the form below, and don't make your magical ability too OP.

Reserving! Can I create a charrie, or use an AE? I'm fine with just being myself, too.

I will come along. If you let AEs, maybe Sally will go too.

Name: Dusk Sky, But my official CBer name is shortened to Dusk S. (Because it is cooler that way.)

Gender: female

Age: 13

Background: Ever since I was little, I had loved writing. One day, my father had given me a magical pen which can make anything I write real. Ever since, I carry around two pens, one normal and one magical. The normal pen I use for writing stuff I want to stay on my paper. I keep a diary where I write down my thoughts. I wish to be a famous author someday.

Choose one magical property: My pen. Ok, so you might think this is a little OP. I mean, being able to make anything happen? But don’t worry, there’s a catch. You see, while the pen IS magical, it can’t create its own magic. So, to get the power needed to make something happen or appear, it takes energy from the person that writes with it. Then it converts the energy into magic, and creates the thing you wrote down. The harder the thing is to create, the more magic that is needed, and therefore more energy taken. This limits a LOT of your options. For example, while making an apple would hardly be felt at all, destroying the world would make you die from how much energy is taken. Anyway, moving on...

Home: a small northern town.

Personality: Sarcaastic. Kind. Observant. Loves animals. Loves to tell stories. Loves to make friends, but can be a bit shy. Sensible and hot tempered at times.

Name: Moonlight
Gender: Female
Age: about 14
Background: I lived in the country and was always exploring. My family was very supportive and I loved them.
Choose one magical property: I can fly. So others can fly as well but they are more like hovering for a few minutes. I can fly for up to four hours straight and when I train the time extends by a few minutes each trainning session.

Home: The southern forest

Personality: I am curious, brave, reckless, kind of smart, and free spirited.

Wow guys! I did not think I would get this much attention so quickly. Anyway...
For eveyone who has reserved, I'm making the charrie sheet deadline October 12. There is still a spot open if anyone else still wants to join.
This story is going to be a bit unusual. I'm going for a mix between a Solo Write and a Role Play. While I will be the main storyteller, you will be making all of the descisions. How it'll work is I'll post a part of the story, and at the end I'll put a choice and ask one of the charrie's to decide what to do. Example: The bear dives at Chanson, claws grazing her skin. Her companions are too far away to help her. To her right, a stream flows into a small lake. Unfortunately, the bear can swim. Ahead of her, an evergreen rears it's branches high into the air. One of the branches it just low enough for Chanson to reach. She isn't sure if the bear can climb. The bear closes in, and she has only seconds to make her choice. What does Chanson do? And Chanson might say, I can swim well, and I think I can outpace the bear. Just in time, I sprint for the lake, and dive deep. Get the idea? Great!
While we're waiting for everyone to get their charrie sheets in, I'm going to ask some of you some questions about your magical abilities, just so that I can be clear on some of the details of how they work.

Hope it's okay that I made up a charrie for this! Here she is~

Name- Adrianna (Addie)

Gender- Female

Age- 14, almost 15

Background- Addie grew up with her older sister, Alex, and her grandma because both of her parent's mysteriously disappeared when she was about 6. She was really popular and pretty throughout her childhood, which kind of masked how kind she was and how caring she could be. There was a rumor going around that she was secretly a royal, and many people look down on her because she likes girls.

Magical ability- She can become invisible, but people can still, like, run into her, because she still takes up space. Also, if someone knows that she's there, she will become visible to them.

Home- A small town in the South-East, right near the ocean

Personality- Addie can be really friendly, bubbly, and kind, but she's also kind of snarky and can be afraid to voice her opinions.

Appearance- She was long, wavy blong hair that she normally wears in two tight Dutch braids. She has a good sense of style and is curently wearing black knee-high boots, black leggings, and a light pink sweater.

Other- She has a very special pearl necklace that her parents put in a box for her before they disappeared, and since she was able to open it when she was 13, it has became her most prized possession.

ALRIGHT EVERYONE! Time to begin the story. If you reserved and have not yet posted your charrie sheet, but still want to join, I can be a little bit flexable about that, but HURRY.

One week has passed, and on remains. The mysterious package seems to grow on your mind, until all of your thoughts are caught up with it. Why was it sent? Who sent it? And then you have the answer. You are looking at all of the objects again, when your breath foggs the mirror, and the surface grows gray. Words, written in a script with so many embellishments and swirls that they are hard to read, appear on the surface.
Priveliged subject: The King of Everwhalis has sent for you, and wishes for you to appear before him at his castle in a fortnight after this package was delivered. Because of your extraordinary magical abilities, he wishes to meet and speak with you. If you were confused at the arrival of this mysterious package, it was merely because His Magesty wished it to be safe if it fell into the wrong hands. In this package, along with this enchanted mirror, you will have found only a jeweled pin. If you show the pin to the castle guards, they will allow you to enter the castle. I must be clear: This is not a choice. If you stubbornly desire to remain where you are, the King can always send a squad of guards to grant you safe passage to his castle. I trust that you understand my meaning. Signed: Calin, Chief Advisor of The King.
After you finished reading, the words vanish and the mirror returns to its normal purpose. questions fill your mind. Why would the advisor claim that the pin was the only thing in the package besides the mirror, since there was also the note? It seems that you must travel to the castle, since the threat of sending guards to collect you is real. So you do.
You travel to the castle, and the six of you arrive on the last day of the fortnight. When see the castle, it looks huge and threatening, and you can see guards patrolling the walls. There is still a chance to turn back, but you continue on, showing the pins to the guards, who allow you to pass. Inside the pallace, all of you are brought together in a small, square room, where you are told to wait. All of a sudden, you hear noises from outside of the room. A voice, sounding like the voice of a thirteen year old girl, is screaming. You can make out words. "Don't take me, don't you dare! I'm not, no! I wish I didn't have magic! Let go, I won't promise you anything!" Adriana, who is closest to the door, sees a girl being forced along by a pair of guards, her black hair flying everywhere. When she sees Adriana, she stops screaming, and hisses, "Don't go into the throne room, you hear?"
Adriana: What do you do?

Adrianna-

I scamper after the girl, wishing to talk to her more and wondering why she says not to go in. If I can't run after her, I become invisible and hide outside the room, listening in but not entering.
