Well, something glitched

Well, something glitched and my post disappeared... sooo let's try this again XD

I was working on something last month called Novelember, where for the whole month you had a story prompt. (That only lasted two days...) But the first days prompt was Color, so I wrote a story based on how i didn't like that people judged you if you were "White" or "Black".  So here it is:

White and black… what's the difference? In skin, just
pigment in the skin. In people, enough that apparently blacks can't live like
whites, why?

"Layla! Time to go shopping!"  That’s me, Layla. And my mom just told me we
need to go shopping. (Which is probably a good thing, we're out of a lot of
things.) But the problem is, this is just another reason for people to 1,
ignore us. 2, be rude to us. And 3, make sure we go to the BLACK market instead
of the white one.  What's wrong with
people nowadays? Is it always going to be like this?

On the way to the store we took a shortcut though the
playground, and of course, every kid at the playground was white.  I'm guessing today isn’t gonna be a great day
today. I sigh, and continue walking with my mom.  As we're passing though, a man and his
daughter see us and start leaving. Though instead of looking in disgust at us
and leaving like her father was, she stayed and looked at us.

The man called her again, but the daughter waited until I
walked up to her. The man yelled "SUZY! GET OVER HERE AWAY FROM THAT BLACK
PERSON!''  She looked back at her father,
turned to me and said "Just so you know, I've heard about the stuff you
darker people have to go though-" The man yells, Suzy ignores him.  "I just want to say I don’t agree with
my dad… I'm sorry."  By now the dad
came and picked up Suzy and took her with him, we quickly waved at each other
as they turned the corner.

I smile as I walk in the store with my mom.  If Suzy wants to, she's gonna be a great
leader someday…

Not my best one, but I still like how it turned out :D

For some unknown reason that we can't correct, a first reply to a comment may send the thread to a back page, so if something disappears on you, you may find it on a back page. A second reply usually brings it to the front again. That's why you may see comments that just say "top."

I really like this story!!!!! And like admins said, if you posted a thread and it seems to have disappeared it's probably in the back pages. To get it back click "Submitted by" twice - that is, the link on the top of where it says who made the post - and it will show the posts in the order they were submitted. And then go to the last page and you should find your post again.

If the first comment is not visible yet, though, then topping won't do anything.

Once again, I really like your story. It's a good issue to address and it's well written!

The format on this is a bit wonky. Was that on purpose or accident?
