Magical Familiar

Magical Familiar Emporium RP

~~~
Hiya! Okay, this is a magical roleplay! Everyone's a witch/wizard/familiar, and if you're a witch/wizard, you can get a familiar from the Magical Familiar Emporium! And this place is just like Earth, but the world is called E-erth, and it's got magic and advanced technology.
Magic can be all sorts of magic (8 schools of magic, elemental magic, magic spells, etc.), but you need a wand to channel it. If you're a witch/wizard, you'll probably go to a magic school of some sorts (can they all go to the same school?), and if you're a familiar, you pair up with a witch/wizard and accompany them to school.
My Charrie!
Name: Loli DiBella
Age (10-18): 12
Gender: Female
Personality: She's a tsundere, and acts really cute and kawaii. When she gets angry (not that often), she will never apologize, and she tries her best to make the person she got angry at apologize to her (she usually succeeds). Strong-willed but nice about it. She is rather self conscious, but she hides it behind her acting. Loves theater, skilled liar. Afraid of people discovering her secrets, and she's also afraid of the dark. Plays the harmonica. She's mostly cheerful, but when her friends are sad, she has no idea what to do (usually resorts to asking them if they want food to help them). Quick thinker.
Appearance: Light brown hair in two curly shoulder-length pigtails. Pale skin, golden eyes, and light freckles. She wears a preppy white blouse with her student ID card tucked into the pocket, a shin-length pink-and-green plaid skirt, white knee-high socks, and mint-green running shoes. Overlarge dusty pink rain jacket.
Familiar: No familiar yet
Magic (type of magic): Specializes in jinxes
Hey Luminara, I just want to point out that Stella is a familiar... a three tailed fox to be precise. She's not acually a human.
~Addison
After a disastrous training session, I slip down the hallway to the cafeteria. That dratted little Loli girl was way too good, and I have to admit it gave me slight satisfaction to see Lucius slam his little beak onto her head. But other than that he hardly listened to me at all!
I'm not used to battle simulation. I've been homeschooled for nine years and I'm still not used to fighting other people. I mean, it's not that I have a hard time making friends, but after fighting someone its kinda hard to say, "hey, want to hang out?"
I enter the cafeteria with Lucius on my shoulder, looking snobby as usual. Lucius always looks snobby, but its adorable to see such a stuck up expression on his cute little bird face.
I pass by a shy girl, about 12, who is in my dorms. Might as well try to make friends.
"Hey, aren't you animal communication too?"
She turns to me, smiling. Maybe she isn't as shy as I thought. She has a cute chickadee fluttering around her and pretty blue eyes.
"Yeah, and healing. Are you new here? I mean, I know you're older, but - "
"yes, I am. My mom homeschooled me for a long time. She's like, afraid of the world." I snorted as we got into line for lunch.
"I also do healing," says the girl. "My name is Annie, by the way."
@Porcelain Dragon, yeah, probably! As long as it works with the story!
I was going to make a roleplay post today, but I'm super duper confused about what's happening. I haven't done a roleplay in a really long time, so I'm out of practice, but I also have no idea what's going on here. I will probably start roleplaying sometime soon, but I need to figure out what is happening in the story first so it might not be immediate.
@cerinthe | Yeah! Zealotdk would love Addison being his shipmate! Right Zealotdk? I think he agrees. (I'll just post now I guess.)
~~~~~

*^* Juniper *^*

I looked up to Zealotdk, expecting him to say something. He kind of gave me the ‘I-Don't-Want-To-Talk’ stare. I smiled at him, “Can I go explore the school more?” My eyes grew bigger of surprise, “IT'S HUGE!!” Zealotdk looked at me, smiled, and nodded. He then disgreetly mouthedm, “Be careful. I trust you, you know that?” I smiled at him and jumped up and down a few times, “Okay!” I ran off and went to go exploring, passing by classrooms, other halls, dormitories, the teacher's lounge, the principal's office, and so on.

I later came across the classroom with animal noises in it. Animal Communication? I stood on my tip-toes, trying to look into the door. “Oh come on!” I pouted. I gave up on that and continued my search. I later went to the corridor where Zealotdk was waiting for me. He got on his knees and whispered to me, “Saruman went off somewhere. I'm going to go outside.” I stood there, thinking for a moment, “Wait, isn't it raining?” He shrugged, stood back up, and pulled on his hood on his black cloak. I then sighed, “What do I do?” He shrugged again, and mouthed, “I don't know? You can go to Gwendoline and hang out with her, I don't know?” “Who's Gwendoline?” I asked, oblivious of who Gwendoline is.

Zealotdk sighed and went back to mouthing, “Cafeteria—” “She's a Cafeteria?” I asked, not understanding him. He sighed once again, got on his knees, and whispered into my pointy elf ear, “Look for a dirty-blond, spacebuns. Yea high,” he lifted his arm up, “rainbow jumper, off-white skirt, pastel rainbow tube socks, and white sneakers. Flower crown. Pink and white bracelet. Black lace choker. Got it?” “Mhm,” I nodded, “how do you even know what she's wearing and her whole appearance?” He shrugged and whispered again, “Do you even pay attention to how people look? If you can't specifically find her, just look for a three-tailed fox. Silver colored.” “Okay!” I then patted his knee, my way of giving him good luck/good fortune, “Be careful, Zeal!” He smiled, nodded, got up, and walked out of the entrance doors.

I ran into the Cafeteria, looking around for Gwendoline. I didn't spot her, but I spotted a three-tailed fox and Saruman's dragon, Fyre. I ran over to them at a little bit of too much speed. There, apparently, was a pole in my way and it WOULDN'T move for me, so I ran into it. Yikes...

It had started raining, so Loli gave up on looking for a familiar during lunch break, and instead sat in the cafeteria, playing uno with Gwen.

Just as a bolt of lightning lit up the room in an eerie white light, a mocha-skinned elf slid into the seat next to Loli. "Hi! I'm Juniper, my loyal said that I could hang out with you guys! Ooh, can I play?" she said, pointing to the uno cards.

"Sure," Gwen said, giving a small smile.

Loli shuffled the deck, and redealt the cards. The three played uno until the light chime of the bell reminded them that they had class. Loli waved goodbye to Gwen, and Juniper wandered off to find Zealotdk.

"Bye! What class have you got?" Loli asked Gwen.

"Doctoring 101. Bye!" Gwen said.

Loli skipped off to biology. Gwen seemed much more comfortable with her now, losing much of her stutter, and casually making hilarious remarks regarding the other people's shoes as Loli changed them into different creatures.

She grinned inwardly. Loli had just made a friend!

"Gwen! The rain stopped, school's over, let's go shopping now!" Loli said, running up to Gwen from behind.

"Um, okay. Are you sure we're allowed?" Gwen asked.

Probably allowed, but not encouraged, Loli thought.

"Yep!" she said cheerfully, "Besides, you need new glasses. Let's go!"

The two walked out of school together, heading toward the inner heart of Windvale City. Loli stuck out her tongue at random passerbyers, and Gwen covered her face in second-hand embarrasement. All in all, it was a very fun experience.

They first stopped at an optometrist, to get Gwen some new glasses. They walked out later, Gwen wearing a brand-new pair of round golden glasses. The two headed for the familiar store.

Loli stopped at a stoplight, waiting for the rush of cars to pause. She and Gwen walked across, once the stoplight became a bright red for the cars, and the flashing sign allowed them to cross.

As she walked across with Gwen, Loli could hear a peculiar screeching sound. The sound grew louder, and louder, and as Loli turned, she could spy a huge school bus skidding right toward them!

Hey everyone! Sorry to throw off the flow, but I was wondering if I could add a new character coming to the school. If not it's totally fine, but I'll put my charrie's info if you guys are cool with me joining.

Name: Charity Sophia Meadows

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Personality: Charity is very considerate and caring of others, but quite moody which is emphasized even more by her age. Pretty extroverted but it sometimes depends on the people she talks to She was raised in the foster system until she got an invitaiton to school and abandoned by her mother at a very young age. She never knew her father. She is pretty smart for her age and tutors at the local library for good money and in addition to foster money, she is pretty well off. She enjoys teaching others and swimming at the beach (I will develop her personality more later).

Appearance: She is Latina. She has light cocoa skin, lavender hair curled into a ponytail, and ocean blue eyes. She is a little short for her age, around 5 feet 2 inches. She is kinda plump. She has tastes similar to her friends as she had no mother to teach her how to dress. So she mainly wears whatever is trendy at the time but gives her own little twist to it.

Familiar: She has a beautiful barn owl named Orion. He is about 2 years old

Magic: Water magic, if someone already used that then wind magic

Shipping: Sounds good

Other: Thank you for creating this it sounds really fun! I'm sure it's fine for me to jump in but I'll want till you say so

Ok saw both fire and water magic are already being used

Charity will be able to grow and manipulate all different types of nature (plants) and she can create and adjust sun rays, and is able to shoot blinding rays out of her palms to blind enemies.

Annie~

The cat in front of me stares blankly with bored yellow eyes. "Come on, Annie. You can do this," my instructor says. I try one more time to get the cat to walk across the room. He doesn't move except for blinking lazily.

"We'll try again tomorrow," says my instructor. I nod and walk out of the room, Pepper fluttering beside me. I've been trying for days to get a cat to listen to me, but it hasn't worked so far. I've only ever had success with a few birds and mice.

I walk into the cafateria and am about to find a table when I hear a voice behind me.

"Hey, aren't you animal communication to?"

I turn around,smiling to be friendly. The girl looks like she's at least four years older than me.

"Yeah, and healing. Are you new here? I mean, I know you're older, but-"

"Yes, I am. My mom homeschooled me for a long time. She's like, afraid of the world."

"I'm Annie," I say as we get into the lunch line.

"Addison."

"Have you had much luck with animal communication yet? I can't get past birds and mice." I say as I grab a tray from the stack.

"No. I've barely learned anything so far."

I load my tray with a cup of soup, a cookie, and some birdseed for Pepper. We go and sit down at a table with a couple other people.

~Evie~

I stood in front of it. The new school I was going to. Of course, I was going tomorrow, but it was good looking at it anyways. My famiy had just moved here today, and they had registered for me to arrive the next day. I already had my wand, but I wasn't very good at magic. I would keep trying though, and this new school would teach me how!

"Look, Flurry! A new school!" I exclaimed while looking down on my pet dragon. Flurry made tiny growls of excitement, and looked at the school with bright blue eyes. I didn't actually have animal communication... our family just figures that Flurry gradually learned to understand English. "We should practice," I said to Flurry. Flurry dropped her head and made downtrodden gurgling noises. "Oh, it'll be fine. You will soon learn how to fly, and think how amazing that would be! Flying up in the sky, without a care in the world... It will be perfect!" Flurry looked up at me with an unconvinced look. However, it slowly nodded. "Ok, come on!" I said, and ran to look for a clear spot. Flurry quickly followed.

Soon, we arrived at the perfect spot. "Ok, mark me," I said to Flurry. Flurry nodded, happy to not be the first one to practice. She walked a bit of distance, then drew a line in the dirt with her claw. She then backed away a little, sat down, and looked at me expectantly. "Ok then," I said, and I was actually a little nervous. I carefully withdrew my wand from my backpack and pointed it at the line. I thought hard about what I wanted the ice to look like. My wand shook in my hand as I focused. I felt like all my strength was going into one thought. Slowly, a blue glow appeared over the line. Flurry quickly jumped up and made growls of excitement. Was I going to do it? I smiled wide. But then, I started getting more tired. The blue glow disappeared, and I put down my wand. I sighed. So close...

Flurry walked up to me with a sympathetic look on her face. "It's fine," I said. "I can work on it at the school. Now show what you got, Flurry!" Flurry's face changed to a grumpy look. She relunctantly turned back and tried to flap her wings hard. I sat down on the grass. Hopefully, I will get it. I looked at the sun, which was starting to sink down from the sky. And everything will change tomorrow.

Key~

I waited for the crossing-light to turn. There were two girls on the other side of the sidewalk, obviously waiting for the same thing. My six tiny wings fluttered cutely as they hovered, as they do, close to my shoulderblades. I usually keep them small when not in use. The crossing-light turns green, and I step onto the warm asphalt. A peculiar screeching grows closer, growing louder. Suddenly, a bus careens into view, straight towards the two girls walking in the street. They freeze, unable to move out of the way. Instantly, I go into Soul Soldier mode. My hair goes white, my horns and wings grow larger, and my hair bleaches a shining white. Without a moment's hesitation, I dash to the girls, scooping them up with two of my six wings and narrowly escaping the runaway bus, which promptly crashed into a telephone pole. I set the girls down. They seemed to be close to my age, and bore the same crest on their chest. We go to the same school!

"Lace!" The sable around my neck scampered off my shoulders and made little faces to distract them from shock. Meaniwhile, I flew over to the bus to see if the driver was okay. "Are you alright?" I shouted into the open front window.

But there was no-one inside...

-Addison-

We sit down, as I explain to Annie about how I can communicate wonderfully with Lucius but can't control him at all, and the only other animal I have ever communicated with was my pet cat, but that doesn't really count because she's my pet, for goodness sakes, and all I picked up was "I WANT TO EAT YOUR BIRD I WANT TO EAT YOUR BIRD", which anyone even without powers could tell. I soon stop, realizing that I've talked too much again, but I purposefully don't look at her, so it's not awkward. I consider myself good at making things not awkward.

As I bite into a muffin, I look around at the other people at our table, wondering what their powers and names are. One guy is wearing a black cloak which hides his face entirely from my view. I wonder what his problem is?

I am about to mention this to Annie, but then he turns and I see him looking at me, his right eye - the only one I can see - a startling dark green. I turn away sharply, my heart pattering for no reason I know. Lucius chuckles softly in his mind.

What are you sniggering about?! I ask him crabbily. He only shakes his head and swoops down to take a piece of celery from my soup. He winks at Annie's chickadee.

"The little flirt," I laugh. Annie smiles as she takes another spoonful of soup.

I think the dark-cloaked green-eyed guy is looking at me. "I'm going to go," I tell Annie, though I'm not sure she really cares. I kind of blew it with the whole tallking-too-much-and-then-not-saying-anything-and-making-an-awkward-joke- thing. New school jitters.

"Why so early?"

"I just want to get some extra practice in," I say. I motion with my elbow towards cloak guy, mouthing "stalker", and leave the table.

On my way out, Lucius tells me off.

That was mean.

It's not like he knows what I said. My back was to him!

Hmm. Still.

And I don't know if Annie can even read lips, anyway.

Well -

Maybe she even agrees with me!

I'm scrambling frantically for excuses, and I know it.

Trust me, Addison, you don't want to start off the year like this or you'll turn into "the mean girl".

Says the snobby guy dove with a British name who's lived on a farm his whole life.

But I know he's right.

Stella~~~~

My heart was pounding, when the bus carreenered down the rode to Gwen and Loli their was nothing I could do about it.

Curse my tiny fox body!

So I felt great releif when some familiar (excuse Stella's thinking Key's a familiar... she's an old lady ;) shoots across the intersection to whip the two girls out of the way. I raced over, I haven't felt that panicked since my naming day! The girl, Key, shoots off to check on the bus and leaves her sable behind.

Wait... she's a student! What is this world coming to.

I sawnter over to the sable and growl at it. Cheecky little thing growls back at me so I smack it's head with my paw. Hard. It backs down.

You better! I'm old enough to be your great-great-great grandmother! No respect for their elders these younguns.

I sit between the two girls, who are sitting on the ground in shock. Whatever that sable was trying to do it didn't work. I lazily lick my paw as I feel the air for their emotions. Shock turns up blue on my radar. Manipulating emotions is a rather difficult skill, one I have much experance with. Slowly I change blue to a light blue, the color of calmness. Their hard breathing slows down and they stop looking so wided eyed. They'll be OK. Key comes back and seems surprised to see be sitting between the two girls, and her sable crouched grumpily a distance off.

~~~~~~
"You missed." Jaarl says cooly.
"Of course I missed! The whole point of me coming to this school was to take over the world! How can I expect to do that if I have no subjects?" I snapped.
Jaarl sniffs delicatly and turns away from me, his tails waving gracefully.
"It doesn't matter. It's not like they can trace it back to me anyways. Let's go back to the school."
I march off, away from the scene of the crash, Jaarl following sulkilly behind.
I'm going to RP with Lace for a bit. I also forgot to make her sheet, so here's that.
Name: Lace
Age (10-18): A young immortal, only a few hundred years.
Species: Originally a sable, but was cursed to house the soul of a kirin.
Gender: Female
Personality: Protective, loyal, vengeful (she will get you back and she will get you GOOD), despises snobs, and is feircely vindictive.
Appearance: A gorgeous, brown, ferret-like creature with a long, fluffy tail. Her eyes are sky blue.
Familiar: None, she is Key's familiar.
Magic (type of magic): Shapeshifting and Pain.
Shipping: Sure.
Lace~
My head hurts from the fox's blow. She will pay for that. I activate one of my own powers, the power to inflict physical pain without touch. I "smack" the fox across the muzzle. She yipes and looks around for the culprit. A biting fly buzzes around her head at the same moment. I guess she thought it bit her, because she snaps at it. Stupid fox. I smile. Watch out, or your snobbery will get you hurt. I stand and push her away, transforming into a big husky. I lay on the girls' laps, and they smile and start to pet my scruff. The fox looks shocked. I look at her carefully.
"We are immortals together. Cut your stuck-up act, I know how much you've seen." I tell her. She growls again, trying to intimidate me.
"We are nothing alike, you and I-"
"Oh, we are plenty alike. Immortal, and sick of each other's attitude. Be mindful that you 'started it.' You growled at me first. Now go see if Key needs help. You're done here."
"I would never help her!"
"Why, is she too low for you? I will have you know that she has suffered more than you would be able to handle. She is higher than your ego and better than your expectations. Now please, if you would be so kind as to do the right thing?"
The fox looked as though she might explode with rage, but after a moment she checked herself and went to go help Key.
~
I played this from what I've gotten of Stella. Sorry I forgot about the sheet, that lead to some confusion. Lace wouldn't have just backed down from that, but we can work with this... If you have a problem with this just let me know.
